I am kind of ringing off Serola here. But, people do all sorts of pious seeming things, which is fine, until they demand tht others do the same and cast judgement. Discernment is good, but in some things, their discernment is merely a manifestation of their own weakness. Brothers and sisters, be very careful what you "teach".

    James 3:1-2 (NIV)

1Not many of you should presume to be teachers, my brothers, because you know that we who teach will be judged more strictly. 2We all stumble in many ways. If anyone is never at fault in what he says, he is a perfect man, able to keep his whole body in check.

Those who have been here a while know that I don't like being called a teacher. I say what I feel compelled to say, but charge you solemnly to examine clearly what I say. I understand Paul's "fear and trembling" for the burden of an Apostle is even greater than I would be willing to bear. Of course, I have not been struck blind on the road and commanded as he was, so it may be God will make me willing to ask yet again: "What would you have me do Lord?" Funny about trials, trustworthiness and power, is it not? "The Greatest of Sinners" was how Paul described himself to Timothy...

I was watching a "Touched by an Angel" program tonight and when Monica glowed like she always does when her angelic status is revealed, she said "God will not ask one day if you did your job everyday, He'll asked if you loved everyday."

It's not what we do, but it is how we do it. Is it meant with love? Funny enough, that is just a comment on "Walk in Love and Care". The end of days scripture inspired me to tell about my ponderings lately! See my post.

    God bless

Oh Mel, I agree with you.
When I write in my blog, I hope that others will correct me if I am off base.
I want them to examine my writings and tell me if I am wrong.
I want to know what is right and if I am mis-interpreting the Word that I love so much.
    Thanks for the posting!

I think most of you are wise enough to challenge me. Despite the fact that I am a little crotchity and crusty at times...

    In Christ,

    Hi Mel,
I agree with what you said,I think we all get challenged at times. We all want the truth, and God's Word is true. We need to rightly divide the word....and get a deeper understanding of what the Scriptures are speaking of........
    God bless you and yours...
    With God's Love,
    Lois :)
