Reading this post has given me so much insite into my last (recent) trial. I was like the Israelites. I had seen and remembered all the wonderful things God had done for me leading up to the trial, but while I was in the desert, I always moaned and complained. Yet, God was there as my cloud and fire, protecting me and directing me with His light. What lay ahead was percieved as giants and I felt like a grasshopper. Perhaps disobedience to some extent kept me in the desert for longer than was needed. But God was still faithful, and He eventually brought me into the land of milk and honey.
Oh, if only I could have truly understood the stories of the past prior to going into the trial, my actions may have been different. Perhaps I needed to see this this morning.
Thanks for the post, I now have much more to delve into.
