Please remember my mother as she is going in for surgery for a broken shoulder. Her health is bad as it is. Dad is carrying a heavey load too. They need prayer to see them through this. God bless all of my friends here.

Aw Jesus is my Master, my Redeemer and my Lord.
What an awesome God we serve!
Prayers for your mother are ascending.
We are all going into that period of time where are parents are getting elderly.
It is sad to see them so fragile and frail.
It is sad to say goodbye to them but we will meet with them again someday.
Thanks be to God for His precious gift of salvation.

Hi Brenda, I enjoyed all your posts, and this one especially. I praise God He has filled you with His wisdom and love to extol the sufficiency, yea over abundancy in satisfying our deepest needs. I am so sorry your mother has to have surgery. Dear sister I will be among the saints praying and fasting for a good recovery, and strength, and additional years for your parents.

I came to post a short comment, then I notice about your Mom. Sorry to not notice sooner...
Eveny Knee shall bend. I am not a big oneon form, but for this I will literally pray on my knees. That seems to be the message to me...

Yes, Lord I accept Your commission and will be a shining beacon of Your love to all I meet.
Especially today with the evil occuring in New York State, I will pray and plead for Your protection over the entire population.
Please watch over your sheep and keep the evil ones from penetrating their hearts or minds.
We worship You and praise You and thank You for being our loving God.

Dear Brenda,
Unlike Mel, I can't get on my knees in prayer anymore (regrettably!), but I can add my prayers from my heart (which is where they come from anyway; they don't come from my knees!!!) for your Mom and her surgery, and for strength for your Dad during this time, as well as for peace for your heart. (I like to think that when the Lord calls me Home, the first thing I will do is fall on my knees in praise and adoration and worship! I can hardly wait!)

Dear Brenda, You said so well: "When we long for something, we could go into a state of solitude, or self despair. This leads us to go to God in prayer and He completely satisfies." ...yes, indeed, it is our decision whether we get into despair or we go to our provider... Who truly provides us all we need, be it physical need or emotional need or financial need - He is the answer :-)
