    Dear sister,

Not all will be certain enough to speak up as you suggest. Some others of us are more inclined to do so. I do not ask everyone to be so direct, although I would prefer it that way. Personally, I do not shoulder the mantle of responsibilty very well. I do not wish people to 'just take my word' for everything I say. At the same time, I am pretty sure you know I would challenge you if you got too far off base, in my estimation. (which could be wrong)

“God works in mysterious ways, His wonders to perform” is what the sister said. Agreed that there is no single scripture that says it thus or close enough for me to find. However, "God's thoughts are above my (our) thoughts" and "Who are we, that God should need anything from us?" are two paraphrased scriptures I could find to support that very concept. We need to be careful of what we challenge and what we just let pass by.

9But avoid foolish controversies and genealogies and arguments and quarrels about the law, because these are unprofitable and useless. 10Warn a divisive person once, and then warn him a second time. After that, have nothing to do with him. 11You may be sure that such a man is warped and sinful; he is self-condemned.
    Titus 3:9-11 (NIV)

I say this knowing that I often enough become that divisive person when I loose sight of what is important and what is not. We should each, in our own heart, make a determination of what is important to speak on and what is not. I have been party to many a useless arguement over the years, so this is one you should feel free to remind me of. That is the side I will tend to err upon. The other side is where most others will err. God's Grace covers us both!

    AMEN,

    Mel

Hi serola, I very much appreciate your message, we should never be wishy washy, or intellectualize God's word. God has made known to us His truth by His word. the scriptures warns us not to add or take away from it, and we must defend it. what we can't confirm in His word and through His word is not worth knowing. 6 I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel: 7 Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ. 8 But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. 9 As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed.
    Gal 1:6-9 (KJV)
