She bare him with sorrow. And so (therefore) he was more honourable than his brethren. I believe my mother bare me with sorrow too. There is a purpose with any woman; she will by her "babies" give life to something which is needed by man. And by my mother's sorrow I became Anders. I will believe she shared that sorrow of hers with my father. But as Jesus was the son of a virgin, making Him very special, I am a son of my mother, making me special - in my way.

And the wonder of it all: The Son went to the cross! So Mariah and God did not have to live the life of their son. He was "harvested". They were free to start all over again, but this time colored by the being of Jesus - their fantastic creation. This was what Jesus said to his mother when he hung on the cross, saying, "Look, Mariah, your son!"
This is how Abraham reasoned when God told him to sacrifice Isac. And even if the sacrifice was not carried out, the incident must have had an enormous impact upon the relationship between father and son. Isac must have distanced himself somewhat from Abraham, so that Abraham in fact was "set free". He was set free so that we can say we are too in the name of Abraham.

Hi Lois, it is so nice to have you back and leaving a comment. I truly missed you. You were in my thoughts. I am doing well. My husband is doing well and he is still under doctors care since his massive heart attack on June 12, 2007. We thank God!!! Hope that all is well with you and your family. Have a fabulous week!
