Which are you? Justified by Christ's blood does not spare us from this attitude when we do fail, and I believe that we can and will fail from time to time. For me, I am pretty certain that not a day goes by without at least some small failure. If I break even the smallest of the Law, I know I have broken the whole of it. So I do remember and lament my sad state of affairs.

But thanks to our redeemer, Jesus Christ, that is not the end of it. His sacrifice gives me a new choice every moment and every breath. He gives the same to all who will accept it, and follow after him.

I often feel more like a camp follower than a soldier on the march, wandering around and just keeping the army in view, never engaging in the battle. If you don't think I beat my breast and berate myself for how unworthy I am, trust me, I know how unworthy I am.

A time will come where you are able to accept the grace of God and realise that you are what He created you to be. Then you will clad yourself with the armour and engage in the battle. Sometimes you will leave with the satisfaction of a job well done, other times you will leave battered and bruised, but every time you will leave with the knowledge that victory is yours as He (Jesus) has already won it for you.

Be strong and rest knowing that God loves you more than anything.

That is the beauty of the whole thing though. We are all unworthy and without hope were it not for Jesus, all would be lost, all would be dead. The truth of his grace is the only thing that gives us any kind of meaning. Without it we might as well have evolved. What aglorious thing we would be, because from nothing comes nothing and that is what we would be. Since you have meaning then, life is a meaningful journey and the battle is already won

I understand. One of the reasons that Ecclesiastes is a favorite book is because of how it ends...
