Marsha - my heart goes out to you today. As a friend, I would like to offer an alternative. Next time, you feel "attacked", don't accept it. Calm down, and re-read the comment 100 times if needed, each time searching for the alternate meaning or trying to find the humour. And no matter what, choose to accept that it was said in a well meant way. If you don't it just means that you will get hurt and end up disliking people sometimes without reason. Choose to walk in the opposite spirit and see satan get upset instead! :)
And as you sit with your head in your hands, remember the picture of Christ carrying you.
Keep your chin high and a smile on your face.
