The movie has some pretty graphic portrails of what happened also. to actually see it played out like it was it gave new meaning to me about what Christ suffered through, for me and you. When you think about it people saw that movie then went and confessed crimes.I don't think the average person Christian or not understands the price he paid for us. He died for our sins, okay but he more than died. He suffered and suffered more and never once did he blame us for the agony and pain he suffered for us because we can't do it for him.
God bless

Marsha, you gotta go see the movie. Get the DVD or video and a whole box of tissues. I have never cried so much in a movie. Two parts of the movie stick out for me, one when he falls and you see his mother looking at him from up the alley. It's like he draws strength from her love for Him and gets up and carries on, and right at the end when God ........ not telling, you have to see it to for yourself. i can tell you that I definately do not have the understanding of His death that I would like and I agree with Ross, that He more than died. Irrespective of me not having the full understanding of the meaning of that fateful day, I am so glad He endured it for me, for us...
Be Blessed

Lee~
I've been thinking about getting the DVD~ and a box of tissue. When the "Passion Of The Christ"
was in the theaters the news would show people
going out sobbing! ~I can understand why!
After reading the book~The Passion.
God Bless,

I haven't seen the movie but the verse in Isaiah says it all..
Isaiah 52:14... As many were astonied at thee; his visage was so marred more than any man, and his form more than the sons of men:

The film itself is quite graphic, but it reminded me of the first time I read Matthew 26. I was about 12 years old and I had found a little New Testament somewhere. I thought I'd read some of it and just opened at random.
As I read about the Lord's crucifixion, it was as if I were right there watching it all happen. I know this was the Lord giving me a deeper insight. When I got to the part where He cried out to God, I started crying as well.
The Lord's vivid illustration of how deep our sin has gone and how His love goes even deeper.
