Hi Jon, So happy to see you back posting again. Yes, anytime we began to get close to the Lord, and step out on faith, the enemy is always there trying to stop us...We must keep moving, no stopping place. Remember Jesus is always with you, His word says I'll never leave your nor forsake you...Also He has gone befoe us, and been through it all. So He knows what you are going through. Trust in HIM, and wait for his guidance....As the word says, stand still and know that I AM GOD....At times He allows things to happen, so we can grow, and to make us understand we can't do anything on our own...Without HIM we are helpless....You have make a big step in faith, as you said yourself, you did a post, that is great, one step at a time....Everything is in God's timing, and sometimes we have to wait.
As the old saying goes, don't get the cart before the horse.......Just rest in Him, do the little things, than the bigger things will come much easier......Remember, we are in the army of God, and we all need to stand together and help each other. When one gets down, we need to lift them up, and help him stand....

Just trust in the Lord and lean not to thy own understanding. He will bring you through, as you are a Child of the Most High God.

God bless you Jon, you are in my prayers and I'm sure others are praying for you.....
Have a good night rest in the arms of Jesus.

    With God's Love..........

    Two scriptures to contrast:

    Hebrews 12:11 (NIV)

11No discipline seems pleasant at the time, but painful. Later on, however, it produces a harvest of righteousness and peace for those who have been trained by it.

    1 Corinthians 9:25 (NIV)

25Everyone who competes in the games goes into strict training. They do it to get a crown that will not last; but we do it to get a crown that will last forever.

You just keep running the race. Don't compare yourself and denigrate yourself for the pace you set, indeed maybe the pace God has set for you. If you draw encouragement from looking at what others have done or are doing that is different, in my humble opinion, but it is not often what we really do. I want to encourage you. I'd like to say that we will always be here for you, but the truth is that we are frail and feeble vessels. However, if God does not send you help through us, he is well able to send it in any creative way that he chooses.

Keep making steps. Baby steps for a grown man is humbling, but making the steps still is valiant indeed in the face of such embarassment. And that embarrasment, I think it is a ploy of the enemy more than anything else. I trust that the time will come again when you feel you are running the race with great strides. And if it get to the point that you are failing to even crawl, hold out your hand to your father and simply say 'Help Me!' Maybe this is all he is really trying to impress upon you. And then again, maybe not. Who knows the Mind and Thoughts of God?

Final thought: what runner was ever ready for the olympics with his very first training session? I've heard of old men running marathons, but I am certain their first time out running was not as impressive as the final result of all that training. Training you will get, I am sure of it. I'd suggest taking a wander through Psalms, actually, not a deliberate study, but reading and listening to God speaking to you.

I hope this is helpful, and not too long winded there Jon. You are in the prayers of many.

    In Christ,

    Mel
