I have had to grab that promise and hold on to often.
    May god bless you Brother.

And not only when we think we have made a mistake but when we get discouraged wondering if what we are doing is the right thing. Just a prayer away and that promise keeps us going. Good post.

I don't think of my failings as uncommon. I don't want them, but I try not to dwell on them too much. If there is something to learn, that is what I want this time, so I don't have to go there again. And this scripture gives me a level of comfort with strife, which if (there really is no 'if') Christ brought a sword, I am certain to see.

    Thanks Guys!

    In Christ,

    Mel

    50) Jesus said to him, Friend, for what are you here? Then they came up and laid hands on Jesus and arrested Him. 51) And behold, one of those who were with Jesus reached out his hand and drew his sword and, striking the body servant of the high priest, cut off his ear. 52) Then Jesus said to him, Put your sword back into its place, for all who draw the sword will die by the sword. _Matthew 26:50-52 Amp. Bile
Mel, I hope you don't mind my comment about the sword.

Of course not, Marsha. Sorry I had not noticed your comment earlier.

A sword is two edged. As you use it, expect it to be used. To bear the sword is a weighty thing indeed! To bear it wrongly carries consequences.

I hope not to bear it wrongly.

    In Truth,

    Mel
