Hi Jon. I think what we have to remember here is the key phrase in verse eleven. Go now and leave your life of sin.
    In Gods Love.

That's right, the same phrase that has been said to each of us.

Hey Jon, Long time no see. I just thought to stop by and see what was going on.
So, I think Jesus was writing her name in the dirt. I think a lot of people have really mulled this one over trying to figure it out and we really have no way of knowing.
Anyway, my thought is that seeing her name written there made her face a lot of stuff. God knew her, her sin, her shame, her past, all that she was and who she was. The moment that she found herself at the feet of our Savior, saw her name written there, she realized who was standing before her. She also realized that nothing was hidden. At the same time, she saw eyes of compassion looking down at her without condemnation, perhaps for the first time in a long time. She saw love instead of contempt, she saw forgiveness.
Just as it is when we found ourselves at the feet of Jesus, filthy with the sins of man, we know that He knows us. But most important, we know that he does not condemn us. Rather, His love outweighs the worst offense and we, known by name, are welcome to receive His forgiveness.
    Still.....In His Service,
