    Sometimes, it is profitable to just sit and listen while others argue. Insights into points you might not have considered come to light at that juncture. Notice also in Prov 15:22-23 not that a person should have only one wise counselor who will not disagree with himself so much, as he should have many counselors to succeed. I wonder if I have many counselors who are worthy of their salt if they will often agree completely with each other. I sincerely have my doubts, but I understand that dynamic very deeply. I was guided to it and live by it and am reviled even at times because of it, but it helps me to seek the Truth, not sit in whatever lie is haphazardly cast my way. I even listen to one who is a "donkey" in my mind, for God may choose to speak to me through them.

    You point out some very good things here, even on reconciling yourself to things outside your understanding through the very words of Christ. Well done!
