Many good natured Christians ask me this question. Does God speak to His children in our age and day. The answer is yes and I can testify to the countless times that the Lord has spoken to me. Welcome to my blog and read of how God speaks to me. Enjoy your stay. Do come back often. God Bless You.

    God confirms every word

"Every matter must be established by the testimony of two or three witnesses."
    (2 Corinthians 13:1)

We (I and my lab. technician) had plans of taking on another employee at the clinic that I run. My lab.technician was hard pressed doing all the works at the clinic and we thought of hiring a helper so that he could relieve my lab. technician of some of the workload on him.

We found a person who we thought was suitable for the job, yet we wanted a final opinion from the Lord before appointing the person, so we placed the matter before the Lord in prayer

We both prayed separately and compared what the Lord had spoken to each of us.

To me the Lord spoke and said that the person that we were planning to take on would finally become a burden on us.

To my lab.tech. the Lord showed a dream while sleeping at night. In the dream we both were shown travelling in a bus and I was driving and he was doing all the works (dusting and cleaning) inside the passenger section. There was no other person. It was God's way of speaking that it was not his will that there be a third person.

According to the Lord's counsel, we decided against taking another person and continued as before.

    Obey the voice

One of the gifts that the Lord has blessed me with is "The word of wisdom" and "The word of knowledge"

The Lord speaks very clearly to specific situations that I encounter in my life and my ministry.

Recently after I preached at a meeting, a believer came to me and asked me, "Doctor, can you pray and tell me whether it's the Lord's will that I go into fulltime ministry or that I continue doing my secular job in the gulf. You see a couple of servants of God have told me that it's the Lord's will that I go into full time ministry and i need a confirmation."

That night as I sat to pray for this brother, I heard the Lord's voice saying,"Yes,I have called him to my work fulltime."I made this known to the brother who had enquired this of me.But he said,"I have already booked my tickets to go back to the gulf. I don't think I want to go into fulltime ministry now. Can you pray for me once more and let me know what the Lord has to say regarding my going back." Not wanting to disappoint him, I said OK.

The next night as I sat for prayer, I asked the Lord what he had to say about the brother's decision. After a while, I heard the voice of the Lord and He said,"If he wants to go to the gulf, let him go and he will not have anyone but himself to blame for the consequences."

I made this known to the brother and he didn't say much; he had already made up his mind to go against the Lord's directions.

What I tell the people in my Church is this:If you want to ask the Lord for directions, obey what He tells you to do, otherwise don't ask at all.
There is no point in disobeying when the Lord shows you the way. It will only lead you to disaster.

May the Lord Jesus grant us grace to oney His voice.

Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; 6in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight. Do not be wise in your own eyes; fear the LORD and shun evil. This will bring health to your body and nourishment to your bones. (Proverbs 3:5-8)

….."Watchman, what is left of the night? Watchman, what is left of the night?" The watchman replies,
"Morning is coming, but also the night…..(Isaiah 21:11,12)

The winter mornings were very cold that December. Still I ventured out on to the terrace of the house where we stayed, pulled up a chair and eased myself into it wrapping myself in a warm blanket to keep the chill away. It was 5am and the stars were not yet gone and a slight fog was around. Praying didn’t seem easy that morning with the cold atmosphere and as it sometimes happens in my life, I began wondering whether this was so important so early when I could get another hour of sleep.

Half praying, half pondering over things, I was startled to hear a voice distinctly call out from the lane nearby, “Watchman, what is left of the night? Watchman, what is left of the night?” As I turned my head and looked, I could see a man riding his bicycle on the lane nearby and disappearing into the fog. But before his figure faded into the fog, he answered the question that he had himself asked, saying - "Morning is coming, but also the night”

I remembered this verse from Isaiah 21. This small incident invigorated my spiritual life for many many months. Unmistakably it was God’s way of speaking and affirming the truth. Perhaps He had sent an angel to give me a wake up call.

Firstly, He had made me a watchman for the city. To watch and pray; whether it was warm or cold or rainy; I was not to forget my duty. Secondly, as Jesus told His disciples in the Gospel of John, Ch.9, v. 4. “As long as it is day, we must do the work of Him who sent us; night is coming, when no one can work.”
Thirdly it was God’s assurance that He is with us through the thick and thin of it all, day in and day out.

Dear friend, If God has chosen you as a watchman to watch and pray over your city, do not backtrack. Remember, there are several precious souls at stake.

    Prince Of Peace (contd.)

One morning He revealed Himself to her when she worshipped in tongues,as a lion wearing a crown of thorns. Then the lion started weeping. He was weeping considering the particular circumstances that we were passing through at that time.It was a time when the enemy had cornered us and many difficult circumstances were pinning us down. The Lion cried and we cried too, seeing His concern for us.Remember Jesus wept.(John 11:35).No fairy tale that.

"When Jesus saw her weeping and the Jews who had come along with her also weeping,He was deeply moved in spirit and troubled"(John 11:33).A flashing thought passed through my mind as the Lion of the tribe of Judah wept. Why should He weep?He is the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords. He could change our situation in a moment if He wanted.I curbed my thoughts and did not speak in that particular circumstance knowing that Jesus was identifying Himself with us as we read in Hebrews 4:15,"For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but we have one who has been tempted in every way, just as we are,yet was without sin.
The Word that He reminded us that day was,"I have loved you with an everlasting love, I have drawn you with loving kindness".(Jeremiah 31:3)

    Jesus The Prince Of Peace

"On the evening of that first day of the week, when the disciples were together, with the doors locked for fear of the Jews, Jesus came and stood among them and said, "Peace be with you".(John 20:19)"

Our relationship with Jesus our Savior got a fresh impetus from the time He started speaking to us continuously day after day, night after night, whenever we sat for prayer, since about two years ago. Often in this book I have mentioned God speaking to us as-Jesus speaking to us or The Holy Spirit speaking to us. Though the Father, Son and Holy Spirit are separate personalities, it is impossible to separate them when it comes to their working. The Trinity works together .One may then ask, who really speaks to you? You can understand it this way. The Holy Spirit speaks to us for Jesus and the Father or Jesus speaks to us Himself audibly or through eye to eye contact in the mind conveying a message.
The revelations or visions that my wife sees or receives are the ideas or images that the Holy Spirit shows in her mind or speaks to her mind.

The Bible says in John Ch.16,v .12-15,
"I(Jesus) have much more to say to you ,more than you can now bear .But the Spirit of truth comes,He will guide you into all truth. He will not speak on His own,He will speak only what He hears, and He will tell you what is yet to come.He will bring glory to Me by taking what is mine and making it known to you.All that belongs to the Father is mine .That is why I said the Spirit will take from what is mine and make it
    known to you."

These verses more or less, gives us an understanding of the working pattern of the Trinity. It was quite a while after coming to Him that Jesus actually made Himself visible to her through visions. He appeared at a time when we least expected Him to.Knee deep in spiritual warfare those days,we were a tired couple.Huddled together on our bed with our children fast asleep on either side of us,we were on our spiritual trips one night, when she suddenly said,"I think it's Jesus that I see now"."Jesus!I said, excitedly,my eyes wide open now though weary from lack of sleep, surprised by His sudden appearance.,Where's He,What does He look like,What's He doing? I asked all in one breath. "Oh!He's wonderful to behold, looks wonderful in His flowing robe, the radiance emnating from His self is stunning. The aura surrounding Him is glorious. And the love, joy and peace emnating from Him is just indescribable, she said.

"Look He's coming down to us,she said, into our room here,He's seated beside us,she continued.Tears were already flowing down our cheeks. Those days were tiring and hectic. We were often downcast, but now just knowing that the Saviour Himself had come down to us was so uplifting .A new joy,a new hope at once sprang up within us.

"He's touching the children, kissing them on their foreheads, blessing them",she said .He did this for a long time pouring out His love upon them.Next He kissed my wife on her forehead and blessed her, speaking to her how well He knew about all the difficult times that she had gone through in the past decade of her life and comforting her promising to smoothen out every matter that was troubling her.She said she could really feel His presence enveloping her and His peace descending into her as He spoke to her."He's touching your face now, kissing you, loving you,she said.

He then spoke to me through her, saying that He was well aware of the tiring warfare that we were going through those days and that He was going to bring about a refreshing change.Though I could not feel His touch or hear His voice, because all these things were happening in the spiritual world,I was really overwhelmed at His personal visit to us.He stayed for a long while and as we put the lights out hat night His presence was still there with us assuring us that He was in charge after all, warfare or no warfare.
The Bible says,"He's the Prince of Peace"(Isaiah 9:6)

Before His death on the cross,He comforted His disciples saying,"Peace I leave withyou, my peace I give you.I do not give to you as the world gives.Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid."(John 14:27)

And after His resurrection He again comforted His disciples who were in fear and turmoil, saying,"Peace be with you".(John 20:19)
Truly, if there is anyone who can bring constant peace in our lives, whatever the situation be ,it is only "The Prince of Peace".
