    Sowing Tears

    Psalms 126

1 When the LORD turned again the captivity of Zion, we were like them that dream.

2 Then was our mouth filled with laughter, and our tongue with singing: then said they among the heathen, The LORD hath done great things for them.

3 The LORD hath done great things for us; whereof we are glad.

4 Turn again our captivity, O LORD, as the streams in the south.

5 They that sow in tears shall reap in joy.

6 He that goeth forth and weepeth, bearing precious seed, shall doubtless come again with rejoicing, bringing his sheaves with him. KJV

I am so thankful I have a loving Father who wants only the best for me. He only wants to give me good things. He fills my life with laughter and joy. He puts a song in my heart, even during the rough times. The more I rejoice in the Lord, the greater things he does for me. I give Him all praise, honor and glory. I know that if I continue to walk with Him, He will strenthen me and lead me into all truth.

Have a blessed day in the Lord.

A can of tuna or a nice fat juicy steak?

Greetings on this beautiful Sunday morning,

    Psalm 68:19 (Amplified Bible)

Blessed be the Lord, Who bears our burdens and carries us day by day, even the God Who is our salvation! Selah [pause, and calmly think of that]!

A can of tuna or a nice fat juicy steak?
The other day I had a lady invite me to go grocery shopping. She told me to put anything I needed into a cart and she would pay for it. I didn't want to take advantage of her, so I reached out and picked up a can of tuna, thinking I would make tuna and noodles for my dinner; even though I really wanted steak. When I got the things I needed and told her I was ready to check out, she said "now we get the extras". She took me to the meat department. She then picked up 4 steaks, chicken, roast, pork chops and some TV dinners. I felt really blessed.

That night as I was enjoying a salad, baked potato and a steak, the Lord spoke to me and asked me if I wanted all the blessings he had for me or if I was willing to settle for a can of tuna. Our loving Father has blessings beyond measure for us. Are we afraid we will take advantage of Him if we accept those blessings? His Word says "daily he loadeth us with benefits". Most people won't look at a position with a company that doesn't offer good benefits; yet they feel unworthy to accept the benefits God wants to give them.
Today as you go about your day accept the blessings God wants to pour out to you. Walk in the blessings of the Lord and receive the blessing someone wants to give you as well.
    May God Richly Bless you!
    Joy
p.s. today I will take steak and not a can of tuna!

    Praise the Lord

    Ps 9:1-2
1 I will praise thee, O LORD, with my whole heart; I will shew forth all thy marvellous works.

2 I will be glad and rejoice in thee: I will sing praise to thy name, O thou most High.

I was thinking about all the Psalms David wrote, most of them are offering praise to God.

David in several verses talks about offering praise with joyful lips, with his whole heart, with hands lifted in praise to the God He loved.

I wonder how do we offer praise to the Father. Is it done halfheartly? Is it done while we are rushing around. Do we offer praise after arguing with our spouse? When do you offer praise? Is it offered with a whole heart? Is your mind really on the Lord or wandering? Do you offer praise as a means of getting something from God?

I know at times I've given praise to God through tears of hurt, tears of pain, through fear, and then other times I give God praise when I feel really good. When I give Him praise even when I don't feel good, I usually begin to feel much better, joyful in fact.

I love to give God praise. He is worthy of all praise. He is worthy to receive it from us with our hearts being in tune with Him. He is worthy to receive it from us with joyful lips and a heart in tune with Him.

Have a great praise filled day in the Lord.

    Joy

    Update on testimony

Monday the 23rd I went to the Ophthalmologist to have my yearly eye exam. For over 30 years the pressure in my eyes has been really high. The doctor thought they would have to start treating me for  glaucoma. When I went in on Monday, the nurse asked me which surgeon had done the reconstructive surgery on my face as they had done a good job. I told her I didn't have surgery, that God had healed me. She looked at me again and said "He did a great job". My pressure in my eyes was normal. I praise God for the healings.

    Ps 67:1-3
1 God be merciful unto us, and bless us; and cause his face to shine upon us; Selah.

2 That thy way may be known upon earth, thy saving health among all nations.

3 Let the people praise thee, O God; let all the people praise thee.

This is what I feel He did for me. I know if God can heal me the way He did, and bless me that He can do the same for you.

I just praise Him for the work He is doing in my life.

God is a loving and mericful God. He wants only the best for us. We just have to seek Him and then reach out and take the blessings He has promised in His Word He would do for us.

    May God Bless You!

    The Spirit of Truth

    John 16:13 (Amplified Bible)

13 But when He, the Spirit of Truth (the Truth-giving Spirit) comes, He will guide you into all the Truth (the whole, full Truth). For He will not speak His own message [on His own authority]; but He will tell whatever He hears [from the Father; He will give the message that has been given to Him], and He will announce and declare to you the things that are to come [that will happen in the future].
I am so thankful for the Holy Spirit who will lead us and guide us in our walk with the Lord. He is there to intercede for us to the Father. What a wonderful comforter and helper.
    Praise the Lord.
May you have a great day in the Lord.
    Joy

    Sharing God's Love!

    Romans 12:9-15 (Amplified Bible)

9 [Let your] love be sincere (a real thing); hate what is evil [loathe all ungodliness, turn in horror from wickedness], but hold fast to that which is good.

10 Love one another with brotherly affection [as members of one family], giving precedence and showing honor to one another.

11 Never lag in zeal and in earnest endeavor; be aglow and burning with the Spirit, serving the Lord.

12 Rejoice and exult in hope; be steadfast and patient in suffering and tribulation; be constant in prayer.

13 Contribute to the needs of God's people [sharing in the necessities of the saints]; pursue the practice of hospitality.

14 Bless those who persecute you [who are cruel in their attitude toward you]; bless and do not curse them.

15 Rejoice with those who rejoice [sharing others' joy], and weep with those who weep [sharing others' grief].

Paul is writing the words God had burned into his heart for the Chrisitians. He is telling them and I believe us as we read God's Word how to love each other.

The words for the heading of my page came from verse 11; be aglow and burning with the Spirit, serving the Lord. That has become my prayer and desire. I know what burning flesh and hair is like and the pain that came with it, however I want my life to be Aglow with the light of Jesus. What a priveledge to share with the world the love of Jesus. To show them there is a Friend who loves them no matter what.

As you go about your day today, look around at the people you see, are they hurting, sad, lonely? What can you do to help them see Jesus in you. Maybe just giving a smile (which doesn't cost anything) would be enough to say someone cares.

Share yourself with others today and notice how blessed you feel

    May God bless You!

    Joy

    My Testimony

I would like to start my blog out with my testimony.

On February 3, 2004 I was trying to light the pellet stove we used for heat. The fire starter I put on the pellets somehow ignited and exploded in my face. I was taken to the emergency room at our local hospital and later transfered to the truma burn center at Legacy Emanuel Hospital in Portland, Oregon.

The doctors thought I would be there for several weeks if not months. Thanks to all the prayers of family and friends I was only in the hospital two days.

During that time both of my eyes swelled shut and I was blind. That was an experience I never want to repeat. The Lord was there and took care of me. I praise His holy name.

Monday of this week I went to see my eye specialist. The nurse, Sandy said "the surgeon that did you reconstructive surgery sure did a good job".  I told her I didn't have surgery. She asked me how come my face had healed so nicely. I told her God did the healing.

I am so thankful I have a loving Father who takes care of me. I felt His presence so strong in the emergency room. He covered me with His warmth and love.
