    Mark 1:43; 1 Peter 5:6-7

    Mark 1:43

    KJV(i) 43 And he straitly charged him, and forthwith sent him away;
CAB(i) 43 And after sternly warning him, immediately He sent him away,

    These are my thoughts.

Sometimes we need to heed warnings, God gave us a brain we should use it in times of trouble.

    1 Peter 5:6-7

    King James Version (KJV)

Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time:

Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.

    1 Peter 5:6-7

21st Century King James Version (KJ21)

Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time,

casting all your cares upon Him, for He careth for you.

6 We need to act in humility and be humble because even Christ humbled Himself for us. We are to work for God as His followers. There is no one greater or mightier than God. When need to be humbled but in time He will exalt us to Him. He became humbled when He came to us but, now He is exalted, we who follow Him will be as well. We will not be exalted here on earth where things pass away but will be exalted in heaven where nothing should pass away.

7 We should cast all our troubles to Him because He can take care of all things and does. He cares for us and wants us to ask Him for things and go to Him with our troubles. He is a caring God and loved us so much that Jesus died for us.

    Keep our eyes on Jesus.

    Mark 1:42

    Mark 1:42

KJV(i) 42 And as soon as he had spoken, immediately the leprosy departed from him, and he was cleansed.
CAB(i) 42 And when He said this, immediately the leprosy left from him, and he was cleansed.

    These are my thoughts.

Jesus makes us clean or pure.

    1 Peter 5:3-5

    King James Version (KJV)

Neither as being lords over God's heritage, but being examples to the flock.

And when the chief Shepherd shall appear, ye shall receive a crown of glory that fadeth not away.

Likewise, ye younger, submit yourselves unto the elder. Yea, all of you be subject one to another, and be clothed with humility: for God resisteth the proud, and giveth grace to the humble.

    1 Peter 5:3-5

21st Century King James Version (KJ21)

neither as being lords over God’s heritage, but by being examples to the flock.

And when the Chief Shepherd shall appear, ye shall receive a crown of glory that fadeth not away.

3 God has left things to us; we should live in a way that takes care of the things He has left us with. We should not mistreat or misuse the things He has given us. We should live in a way that shows Christ to the lost but should also encourage other believers in their walk by seeing our walk. We should not be concerned about what others think but living as Christ wants us will set an example.

4 The Chief Shepherd is Jesus. Glory this is the reward of the believer. We will be rewarded for our efforts even though we do not deserve them, He gives them to us by grace, by grace we receive glory. Glory will not be taken away from us nor does it ever end. Glory is eternal and His presence is glory.

5 Those that are younger did to know they can learn from those who are older then them. Without humility there is no room for us to change. Those that are humble can be used by Him the most. By humility we rely on Him and not ourselves. We who are younger should also take only advisement of those older a not take it as truth because they can be wrong as we can be.

    Keep our eyes on Jesus.

    Mark 1:41

    Mark 1:41
KJV(i) 41 And Jesus, moved with compassion, put forth his hand, and touched him, and saith unto him, I will; be thou clean.
CAB(i) 41 And Jesus, being moved with compassion, and reaching out His hand, touched him, and said to him, "I am willing, be cleansed."

     These are my thoughts.

Jesus did all He did out of love for God first and then for others, we should do the same.

    1 Peter 5:1-2

    King James Version (KJV)

The elders which are among you I exhort, who am also an elder, and a witness of the sufferings of Christ, and also a partaker of the glory that shall be revealed:

    Feed the flock of God which is among you, taking the oversight thereof, not by constraint, but willingly; not for filthy lucre, but of a ready mind;

    1 Peter 5:1-2

21st Century King James Version (KJ21)

1 The elders in this scripture refer to anyone who saw Christ while He was on earth, the apostles or disciples. Peter was sending encouragement for them to follow of God’s will. Peter knew what Christ went through even though he hid during the crucifixion. Peter was a witness to the resurrection. Peter knew first hand what Jesus had done and been thru. Peter knew truth by seeing it happen.

2 The elders of the church were to spread not physical food but the bread of life, the gospel. The flock was anyone who followed Jesus, the church. There responsibility was to make sure the church was doing what the church needed to do, it was there responsibility to go to a person if they were not living up to God’s word and talk to them and help them. Elders should be willing to what they are needed to. To many times those that follow Jesus are not only motivated by Him they also this or that to do what the Lord wants of them, we should not be this way. The example of the elders Peter gives should be something we tries to live up to as believers as well.

    Keep our eyes on Jesus.

    Mark 1:40; 1 Peter 4:7-19

    Mark 1:40

KJV(i) 40 And there came a leper to him, beseeching him, and kneeling down to him, and saying unto him, If thou wilt, thou canst make me clean.
CAB(i) 40 Then a leper came to Him, beseeching Him, kneeling before Him and saying to Him, "If You are willing, You are able to cleanse me."

    These are my thoughts.

Thru Christ we are made clean we just need to have faith in Him.

    1 Peter 4:17-19

    King James Version (KJV)

17 For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God?

18 And if the righteous scarcely be saved, where shall the ungodly and the sinner appear?

19 Wherefore let them that suffer according to the will of God commit the keeping of their souls to him in well doing, as unto a faithful Creator.

    1 Peter 4:17-19

21st Century King James Version (KJ21)

17 For the time has come that judgment must begin at the house of God. And if it first begin with us, what shall the end be of those who obey not the Gospel of God?

18 And, “If the righteous scarcely be saved, where shall the ungodly and the sinner appear?”

19 Therefore let those who suffer according to the will of God commit the keeping of their souls to Him in welldoing, as unto a faithful Creator.

17 Judgment is not easy but even the church is not perfect and needs Godly correction which comes sometimes by those speaking the truth of the word. Judgment for the church is chastisement so we may be able to serve Him more effectively. Those that have faith do not choose to live by their faith will be forgiven for what they do but may face troubles from God to lead them back to Him. We should not want to displease God, even though we will.

18 There are many people who believed they are saved but are servants to sin and know of Christ but yet do not have Him. Sinners will face judgment and without Christ will face hell.

19 We even though we may suffer should trust Him not so we may avoid hell; this will happen but because serving Him is what He deserves. We should see that there is nothing better to follow after than Him; He alone is just, we can only be just by Him. We should trust the Lord with our souls, He would do better with mine than I could myself because by myself I would go to hell and displease the one who created me but thru Jesus I can please my Lord.

    Keep our eyes on Jesus.

    Mark 1:39; 1 Peter 4:14-16

    Mark 1:39

KJV(i) 39 And he preached in their synagogues throughout all Galilee, and cast out devils.
CAB(i) 39 And He was preaching in their synagogues throughout all Galilee, and casting out demons.

    These are my thoughts.

Jesus came to spread the word and defeat the Satan and his demons by making a Way t the Father.

    1 Peter 4:14-16

    King James Version (KJV)

14 If ye be reproached for the name of Christ, happy are ye; for the spirit of glory and of God resteth upon you: on their part he is evil spoken of, but on your part he is glorified.

15 But let none of you suffer as a murderer, or as a thief, or as an evildoer, or as a busybody in other men's matters.

16 Yet if any man suffer as a Christian, let him not be ashamed; but let him glorify God on this behalf.

    1 Peter 4:14-16

21st Century King James Version (KJ21)

14 If ye be reproached for the name of Christ, happy are ye, for the Spirit of glory and of God resteth upon you. On their part evil is spoken of Him, but on your part He is glorified.

15 But let none of you suffer as a murderer, or as a thief, or as an evildoer, or as a busybody in other men’s matters.

16 Yet if any man suffer as a Christian, let him not be ashamed, but let him glorify God on this account.

14 We will be hated for following the truth and this hatred may manifest physically. Christ was hated by people and no one could be equal with Him. We should count our persecutions as a blessing because we will be blessed by Him for them. God will strength us during these time so we may show Him more while those of the world will be judged later for their actions if they o not come to Jesus. The worst thing people could do to us is send us home early, where our Lord will be.

15 We should not live as the world and even though Christianity could become illegal we should not act as if it is wrong or change our ways for changing laws. If Christianity were illegal, I would being broken the law of man but keep living up to God’s law and where I fall short grace will lift back up.

16 Our sufferings as Christians are a part of our story of where Christ has brought us and how He can bring us though things, it shows He is more powerful than the world. We should let this story glorify Him and not glorify ourselves. We will one day receive glory but not here.

    Keep our eyes on Jesus.
