    Mark 5:37; Job 12:18-20

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D3v2CjMm4Y4&t=10s

Mark 5:37 King James Version (KJV)

37 And he suffered no man to follow him, save Peter, and James, and John the brother of James.

Mark 5:37 Contemporary English Version (CEV)

37 Jesus did not let anyone go with him except Peter and the two brothers, James and John.

    These are my thoughts.

Sometime we just get away from the crowd and spend time with only close friends.

Job 12:18-20 King James Version (KJV)

18 He looseth the bond of kings, and girdeth their loins with a girdle.

19 He leadeth princes away spoiled, and overthroweth the mighty.

20 He removeth away the speech of the trusty, and taketh away the understanding of the aged.

Job 12:18-20 Good News Translation (GNT)

    18 He dethrones kings and makes them prisoners;
19  he humbles priests and men of power.
20 He silences those who are trusted,
and takes the wisdom of old people away.

These are my thoughts, please share yours.

18 Kings overthrown and had the men took over have them jailed and even killed. No king or ruler is more powerful then God. Even though they may not follow God He allows what happens and can stop it anytime He chooses.

19 Priests weren’t chosen at this time but they were servants of the Lord. We as Christians are all priest before God, saying we all can go before Him. Priests need to humble just as everyone should be humble, We should be humbled when we serve Jesus and trust Him to give us power.

20 God can take away people trust so they don’t talk, we should value being trusted but value our relationship with the Lord more. Wisdom often comes with age but it can fade with age to as one looses the mind due to age.

    Mark 5:36; Job 12:16-17

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k_b1LRsdRGI

    Mark 5:36
KJV 36 As soon as Jesus heard the word that was spoken, he saith unto the ruler of the synagogue, Be not afraid, only believe.

Mark 5:36 Contemporary English Version (CEV)

36 Jesus heard what they said, and he said to Jairus, “Don’t worry. Just have faith!”

Contemporary English Version (CEV) Copyright © 1995 by American Bible Society

    These are my thoughts.
We need to have faith also.

    Job 12:16-17
KJV 16 With him is strength and wisdom: the deceived and the deceiver are his. 17 He leadeth counsellors away spoiled, and maketh the judges fools.

Job 12:16-17 Good News Translation (GNT)

    16 God is strong and always victorious;
both deceived and deceiver are in his power.
17 He takes away the wisdom of rulers
and makes leaders act like fools.

Good News Translation (GNT) Copyright © 1992 by American Bible Society

These are my thoughts, please share yours.

16 God is always strong, when we are weak we go to Him for strength and when we are strong it needs to His strength in us. God always wins and when we are in Him we are winners even though we may not always see it. Everyone and everything is in His control even if we don’t see it or they don’t accept it.

17 Following Him is what makes us wise, the world’s wisdom changes because the world changes but God never changes. Leaders come and go but God is still Lord and still reigns and always will.

    Jude 9; Titus 2:3-5

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fSZCvsGl-R8&t=3s

    Jude 1:9
KJV 9 Yet Michael the archangel, when contending with the devil he disputed about the body of Moses, durst not bring against him a railing accusation, but said, The Lord rebuke thee.

Jude 9 Contemporary English Version (CEV)

9 Even Michael, the chief angel, didn’t dare to insult the devil, when the two of them were arguing about the body of Moses. All Michael said was, “The Lord will punish you!”

Contemporary English Version (CEV) Copyright © 1995 by American Bible Society

    These are my thoughts.
Michael the strongest of the angels knew that he didn’t need to fight Satan because Jesus already would defeat him,

    Titus 2:3-5

KJV 3 The aged women likewise, that they be in behaviour as becometh holiness, not false accusers, not given to much wine, teachers of good things; 4 That they may teach the young women to be sober, to love their husbands, to love their children, 5 To be discreet, chaste, keepers at home, good, obedient to their own husbands, that the word of God be not blasphemed.

Titus 2:3-5 Good News Translation (GNT)

In the same way instruct the older women to behave as women should who live a holy life. They must not be slanderers or slaves to wine. They must teach what is good, in order to train the younger women to love their husbands and children, to be self-controlled and pure, and to be good housewives who submit themselves to their husbands, so that no one will speak evil of the message that comes from God.

These are my thoughts, please share yours.

3 This not saying that all women shouldn’t be like this because they should but its setting the standard for wives of those who serve in the church.

4 They are to be a positive influence to younger women of the faith which requires them seeking the Lord and living a life for Him.

5 These are all good things all women should strive thru Christ for, sometimes it would only be by His strength they can.

    Mark 5:35Job 12:12-15

    Mark 5:35

KJV 35 While he yet spake, there came from the ruler of the synagogue's house certain which said, Thy daughter is dead: why troublest thou the Master any further?

Mark 5:35 Contemporary English Version (CEV)

35 While Jesus was still speaking, some men came from Jairus' home and said, “Your daughter has died! Why bother the teacher anymore?”

Contemporary English Version (CEV) Copyright © 1995 by American Bible Society

    These are my thoughts.

When we have family that die there is no one better to go to than Jesus.

    Job 12:12-15

KJV 12 With the ancient is wisdom; and in length of days understanding. 13 With him is wisdom and strength, he hath counsel and understanding. 14 Behold, he breaketh down, and it cannot be built again: he shutteth up a man, and there can be no opening. 15 Behold, he withholdeth the waters, and they dry up: also he sendeth them out, and they overturn the earth.

Job 12:12-15 Good News Translation (GNT)

    12-13 Old people have wisdom,

but God has wisdom and power.

    Old people have insight;

God has insight and power to act.

14 When God tears down, who can rebuild,

and who can free those God imprisons?

    15 Drought comes when God withholds rain;

floods come when he turns water loose.

Good News Translation (GNT) Copyright © 1992 by American Bible Society

12-13 Wisdom can come with age but God has all wisdom and has the power to use the wisdom. The best advice is rooted in God’s word.

14 Things God destroyed can only be rebuilt if He allows it, natural disaster destroy and things can be rebuild but it takes times and if God don’t want things to rebuilt He wont allow it to be. No body has power over God.

15 God allows drought it just doesn’t happen by chance. God often times allowed if so His people would turn to Him.
