Responsibility for our actions In a world where people no longer pay the consequences for their actions, scripture warns us to be responsible for our conduct. Not only because it is the right thing to do, but because you never know who is watching or listening, and your daily activities are closely monitored by those that don't know Christ. And remember, He is always watching as well. Galatians 6:4-5 Be sure to do what you should, for then you will enjoy the personal satisfaction of having done your work well, and you won't need to compare yourself to anyone else. For we are each responsible for our own conduct.

Words can hurt. . .
Building Bridges My mother says to build bridges with the people around us, don't burn them. Truth is, what we say to others, even as jokes, can be hurtful. The Lord agrees. Proverbs 12:18 says: Some people make cutting remarks, but the words of the wise bring healing.

Philippians 4:8 NKJV With the world situation as it is, and the frustration of where the world is headed, life is a difficult journey. However, when it all gets me down, I refer back to this verse: "...If there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy -- meditate on these things."

John 14:6 Jesus told him, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one can come to the Father except through me."

The foundation laid by Christ I Corinthians 3:11 For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ is the only foundation our lives can be built upon if we desire our lives to stand the test. Christ is a firm, abiding, and immovable Rock of ages, every way able to bear all the weight that God himself, or the sinner, can lay upon him. We can find salvation in no other. The doctrine of his atonement is the foundation for our hopes. We will face real fire in our lives, with the flames rising fiercer as we walk with Christ, but only He can get us through the sorrows. In our most difficult times it is then that we are Carried By Christ.

Been away awhile, but I am back in full force!
John 6:35 NLT Jesus replied, "I am the bread of life. Whoever comes to me will never be hungry again. Whoever believes in me will never be thirsty." Notice He did not say that your life would become a smooth ride - only that He would ensure that you will not be spiritually hungry or thirsty again. Place it in His hands, and He will carry you.
