Which Way?
While traveling on an interstate highway and you came to where you
thought you were supposed to turn and there were several ways leading in
the direction you thought you were supposed to go? Did you get
frustrated? wondering which way do I turn? The same goes as we travel
down life’s highway. There may be many different ways to turn. But the
only way we can get to our real destination is to follow the map Jesus
laid out for us.
Matthew 7:14 Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it. [KJV]

Do You Believe?
Many say they believe in God, or a higher power. But they don't know so much about this Jesus. Jesus said If we do not believe in Him we cannot be saved. From these three verses from John 3 we find out who Jesus is, where He came from, and why He came. This is pretty plain to me. John3:16-17-18 For
God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that
whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. 17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. 18 He
that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is
condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only
begotten Son of God.

True Measure
I’m sure you have noticed how everything you go to purchase has
gone down in size and up in price. A pound of coffee is now 11.9 ounces.
And it has gone up in price. Company’s are packaging everything in
smaller quantities and charging more for the items. Fair quantities for
fair prices? I don’t think so. Why is this taking place? One word greed.
Profits have to be up for their stocks be of value on the stock market.
So as usual we as the consumer pays the price. When will it stop? When
people can’t buy anymore or not buy as much. And this may happen soon.
Our hope is in Jesus Christ He always gives a true measure..
Matthew 6:19-20 “Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth,
where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal; 20 but
lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust
destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal. 21 For where your
treasure is, there your heart will be also.

Don’t Be Afraid
Ever had something happen unexpectedly that really gave you a
scare? I remember several times I had close calls. Just driving to work
or other places when right out of no where comes a car or truck and
nearly smacks you, or being afraid in the night. Or maybe when a Doctor
gives us or a loved one a bad diagnosis. We all have had close
encounters with something that really frightened us. Psalm 53:3 says,
What time I am afraid, I will trust in thee. What a comfort. We don’t
have to be afraid. God is our confidence our trust is in Him. We can
lean on Him. We can depend on Him… For the Lord shall be thy confidence,
and shall keep thy foot from being taken. Proverbs 3:26

Really Necessary?
What do we really think is necessary? What do we think we need? It
must be pointed out that not everything we consider to be necessary is
really necessary. Most Americans consider a TV, a micro-wave oven, a
computer, and a cell-phone to be necessities. Many Americans think that
two cars, a boat, a camper, and a trip to Disney World is necessary.
Workaholics think that 16 hour work days are necessary. But none of
these things are really necessary. What is necessary is following Jesus.
John 14:6 Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.

Well Spent Time
After a year of marriage a newlywed couple was heading for divorce.
While talking to their pastor the wife cried that her husband rarely
spent time with her anymore. The husband, exhausted from the work
schedule he had adopted, was shocked. He had worked so hard to provide
“things” for his new wife when all she wanted was to be with him. We
consider a roof over our heads a necessity of life. Therefore, God must
also need a roof over head. Christians sometimes can be accused of
spending more time on Gods physical house, their church building, when
what He desires of us is relationship. We may find ourselves doing the
things of God that we forget what it means to sit at His feet and enjoy
the relationship He offers.
1Kings 8:27 But will God in very deed dwell on the earth? behold,
heaven and the heaven of heavens cannot contain thee; how much less this
house that I have builded! [KJV]
