    Mark 6:2; Job 13:14-16

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vBIAwdy6iDI

Mark 6:2 King James Version (KJV) 2 And when the sabbath day was come, he began to teach in the synagogue: and many hearing him were astonished, saying, From whence hath this man these things? and what wisdom is this which is given unto him, that even such mighty works are wrought by his hands? Mark 6:2 Contemporary English Version (CEV) 2 The next Sabbath he taught in the Jewish meeting place. Many of the people who heard him were amazed and asked, “How can he do all this? Where did he get such wisdom and the power to work these miracles? Contemporary English Version (CEV) Copyright © 1995 by American Bible Society These are my thoughts. The works of God causes amazement. Job 13:14-16 King James Version (KJV) 14 Wherefore do I take my flesh in my teeth, and put my life in mine hand? 15 Though he slay me, yet will I trust in him: but I will maintain mine own ways before him. 16 He also shall be my salvation: for an hypocrite shall not come before him. Job 13:14-16 Good News Translation (GNT) 14 I am ready to risk my life. 15 I've lost all hope, so what if God kills me? I am going to state my case to him. 16 It may even be that my boldness will save me, since no wicked person would dare to face God. Good News Translation (GNT) Copyright © 1992 by American Bible Society These are my thoughts, please share yours. 14 We as Christians need to be ready to risk our lives for the faith, we could die any moment as people while life is precious it also is short and could end any moment, we should not fear death if we have the Lord, to die is to see Him face to face. 15 Our hope is Jesus. Hope should have still had hope because he knew the Lord. If God wanted to kill Job then why didn’t Job accept that, it is hard sometimes to accept what God wants, God didn’t want Job dead if He did Job wouldn’t be alive. Job just as us cant stand before the Lord pleading our case but we as Christians have Jesus who can and does for us. 16 Boldness can be a good, it depends on what we are bold for, we should be bold in the Lord but being bold in something else is often times pride. We are saved by faith in Jesus, in the Lord. Job being a sinner couldn’t truly face God, apart from Jesus none of us can face Him.

    Jude 17; Titus 3:8-9

Jude 17 King James Version (KJV)
    17 But, beloved, remember ye the words which were spoken before of the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ;

Jude 17 Lexham English Bible (LEB)
Persevere in the Love of God

17 But you, dear friends, remember the words proclaimed beforehand by the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ,

    These are my thoughts.
We are to keep the word on our hearts and in our minds.

Titus 3:8-9 King James Version (KJV)
8 This is a faithful saying, and these things I will that thou affirm constantly, that they which have believed in God might be careful to maintain good works. These things are good and profitable unto men.
9 But avoid foolish questions, and genealogies, and contentions, and strivings about the law; for they are unprofitable and vain.

    Titus 3:8-9
JuliaSmith 8 Faithful the word, and I wish for thee to be assured of these things, that they having believed God might turn their thoughts to excel in good works. These things are good and profitable to men. 9 And foolish questions, and genealogies, and strifes, and conflicts pertaining to the law, avoid; for they are unprofitable and vain.

These are my thoughts, please share yours.

8 It profits us to believe the word and stand strong in the word by doing good works, these good works truly show that the word is in us, us being faithful shows we truly have Jesus. We need to keep our thoughts on God and by Him we will excel and by Him we can do good.

9 This world is full of vanity, without having the Lord it is meaningless. The world keeps seeking answers but He is the answer they need. It doesn’t matter where we come from as much as it matters whose we are. The world conflicts with each other and with God, we are to as Christians try to first have peace with the Lord then man, peace with man is never to come before our right standing with the Lord.

6 And he went out from thence, and came into his own country; and his disciples follow him.

    These are my thoughts.
Sometimes we have to go back where we were but we should never go back to sin and who we were.

Job 13:12-13 King James Version (KJV)
12 Your remembrances are like unto ashes, your bodies to bodies of clay.
13 Hold your peace, let me alone, that I may speak, and let come on me what will.

Job 13:12-13 Good News Translation (GNT)

    12 Your proverbs are as useless as ashes;
your arguments are as weak as clay.
13 Be quiet and give me a chance to speak,
and let the results be what they will.

12 Job’s friends were saying untruths, words may sound good but if they are lies then they are not just weak or useless but can be harmful, Job was being attacked by His friends, God would later defend his friends because of this.

13 Job now wanted to defend himself, he would not truly be able to, we as Christians cant defend ourselves and that is good because Christ died in defense for us. Job was tried of hearing them.

    Mark 5:43; Job 13:9-11

Mark 5:43 King James Version (KJV)

43 And he charged them straitly that no man should know it; and commanded that something should be given her to eat.

Mark 5:43 Contemporary English Version (CEV)

43 But Jesus ordered them not to tell anyone what had happened. Then he said, “Give her something to eat.”

    These are my thoughts.

We cant keep quite about Jesus, our life is different with Him in it, it shouldn’t ever be normal again.

Job 13:9-11 King James Version (KJV)

9 Is it good that he should search you out? or as one man mocketh another, do ye so mock him?

10 He will surely reprove you, if ye do secretly accept persons.

11 Shall not his excellency make you afraid? and his dread fall upon you?

Job 13:9-11 Good News Translation (GNT)

9 If God looks at you closely, will he find anything good?

Do you think you can fool God the way you fool others?

10 Even though your prejudice is hidden,

        he will reprimand you,

11     and his power will fill you with terror.

9 Apart from God none of us are good enough, we are sinful but thru Jesus are sin is forgiven. There is no fooling God, He knows the truth even when no one else sees it.

10 Job wasn’t perfect but because of His faith he had a right standing with God.

11 God’s power should fill us with many emotions including fear but also joy.

Jude 16 King James Version (KJV)
16 These are murmurers, complainers, walking after their own lusts; and their mouth speaketh great swelling words, having men's persons in admiration because of advantage.

Jude 16 Lexham English Bible (LEB)

16 These people are grumblers, discontented, proceeding according to their desires, and their mouths speaking pompous words, showing partiality to gain an advantage.

    These are my thoughts.
We are not to be like that because we have gained Christ, that is the flesh and we have to fight against the flesh daily, our desire needs to be for Jesus.

Titus 3:6-7 King James Version (KJV)

    Which he shed on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Saviour;

That being justified by his grace, we should be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life.

    Titus 3:6-7

JuliaSmith 6 Which he poured out upon us richly by Jesus Christ our Saviour; 7 That justified by his grace, we might be heirs according to the hope of eternal life.

These are my thoughts, please share yours.

6 He pours out grace onto us when we receive Jesus as Lord. Thru Jesus we are made rich.

7 Thru faith in Jesus and by grace we are justified and have gained eternal life once our time on earth ends we will spend eternity with Him.
