Well, I've decided to put my poetry here as well. It is for a very broad audience, so hopefully you will understand. The book of Job is often quite dark and Solomon's Song of Songs is at times quite racey for those who understand what is being said. Hopefully, I will not exceed the Bible in either context, but I am willing to accept that some of my work may be taken down as inappropriate for this forum. For those of you who wish to have non-Christians read my stuff and maybe pique their curiousity, just be sure to tell them that this is a Christian Community, and they shouldn't consider your gesture to be misleading.

    Cupcake Dreams

Crissy, Crissy, cupcake kid; bouncing bows and laughing curls,
Shimmering eyes, seen round the world; brighter than the other girls.

    Where have you been; where will you go;
What have you seen; I'd like to know.

Through the panes, of your looking glass world,
The tapestry of life, is slowly unfurled.

The dark moon has said, that his brother did view,
An angel that was made, from the beauty found in you.

Beguiling yet innocent, your guileless ways do call,
Wonderously colorful, mere words can't say it all.

Why does it so oft happen, a reason there must be,
This fool can say but one thing, I dread to see you leave.

May Love now sing without you, a song that can't be sung?
I'd'ave sang of all your beauty, but fear did still my tongue.

The seperation does grieve me, it truly breaks my heart,
Yet whenever I am dreaming, we shall never be apart.

The sage, the poet, the fool, am I,
Yours was the heart, for which I did cry,
Yours was the reason, I couldn't let die,
    The Love in my soul,
    That Heavenly Goal,
The Dreams that let me fly.

    The Call

In the high hinterland of the Midnight Sun,
     and the Never Ending Night
-- there waits the monument of my soul.

A monolithic presence beyond flesh, blood and bone,
it is all of this and more.

An ebon blade in a sparkling ivory sea,
it awaits the call, the moment that has not yet come.

Stoic, shrouded pride, the accomplishments never seen,
      the failures never heard,
the wonders and dreams never shared,
falling like shadows of a spectral existance,
at the foot of it all,
during a vigil that lasts through time.

What are these things for which I was made?
I know not, but trudge drearily on.
       And again I wait.

    With whom do I speak?
The cutting winds?  The biting cold?

It comes from beyond time, greater than life and death.

    Another Soul.

    Love.  I speak with Her.

Fate.  Her sister turns a deaf ear.

Strife.  Bellows "To Arms!  To Battle!"

    Peace.  Soothes My ragged wounds.

And the Blind Balance weighs all that I am,
Finding me neither wanting nor gaining.

    A terrible and endless lot,
      I touch no-one and no-one touches me.

    The Call!  The Call!
     When comes The Call?
      When will I be complete?

    And the vain monument stands.

Who is worthy to test my mettle?
Who can spark my courage and fear?
Who can make me cry for joy and pain?
Who will bring me from the still reaches?

    Who will save my soul?

    A Small Request

    My Lady is hurt,
    For reasons I am unsure,
    Lord, remove her pain.

    Its Called Heaven

It softly sings to me, a sweet serenade of Love
As our hearts beat out its whispering flow through time,
Singing tenderly a gentle laugh rings with glittering peals of joy,
I have reached yet another rapture on the road to my soul's long desire.
Come, here beside me, for it is together we follow our Master,
     And he is called Love.

Wonderously great, the majestic slendor of all creation,
Shows us just how deep it is,
That timeless riddle, extended from beyond:

What then, is the dimension of Love?

And serenely, the beauty of it all, calls to us,
If we will only be still enough,
        To Listen.
