STORMS We sit in our homes so cozy and warm While outside rages a winter storm The winds are whipping the snow To stray outside we will not go And yet inside us a storm rages too We just don’t know it, we don’t persue Why we feel so empty at times We continue on, no reasons or rhymes The storm that rages without Will soon pass, blow itself out But the storms that rage within Are the result of our sin We may not know the why Sometimes we just don’t try We keep going on our own way What it really is we downplay Sin has tightened its grip As deeper into it we slip On our own there is no protection To our heavenly Father we must listen He sent to us His own dear Son If we reject Him we are undone We must look deep within And turn away from our sin Look to Jesus He will lead us thru To escape the grip of sin it is what we must do Come beneath the crimson flow Peace and forgiveness you soon will know Soon the storms of winter and sin will pass And with forgiveness we’ll cross sin’s crevasse For Jesus will calm the storms within and without He will show us the true way out Jeannine Faith We recently had a snowstorm that dropped nearly 14" of snow, our first of the winter season. It got me thinking. Hope you enjoy it. God bless you all.
