    Samson

Okay let's start with everyone creating a picture in your mind of what Samson looks like. Have you got it?

Okay so be honest now, how many have a picture of Arnold or some behemoth of a man tearing apart the Philistines with the jaw of an ass or toppling a building in one power filled push?

Do you really think so? would that be in sync with what the Bible teaches would he need the power of God if he was a muscular giant of a man? I mean in Judges 16 we read that Delilah asked him what is the secret of your strength, how can you be constrained? So answer this would it not be obvious, the source of his strength, if he were a huge muscle bound figure? I may just be blowing smoke here but might I suggest that Samson could possibly looked more like Don Knotts than Arnold Schwartzenegger? Maybe this mighty man of Biblical lore was not a tower of raging hormones but a slight man only capable of his accomplishments with the help of God?

That said where do you stand in your accomplishments for the Lord? Where does He stand in your life?

God desires that we do things to glorify Him. After all that is why we were created. If He asked of us only that which we could accomplish of our own doing, how then we would we be of service to Him?

Stand up for Jesus, maybe you can conquer a stronghold of Hell, with the help of Jesus of course.

    Praise Him

I once was blind, but now I see

9:24 Then they summoned72 the man who used to be blind73 a second time and said to him, “Promise before God to tell the truth.74 We know that this man75 is a sinner.” 9:25 He replied,76 “I do not know whether he is a sinner. I do know one thing – that although I was blind, now I can see.” 9:26 Then they said to him, “What did he do to you? How did he cause you to see?”77 9:27 He answered,78 “I told you already and you didn’t listen.79 Why do you want to hear it80 again? You people81 don’t want to become his disciples too, do you?” John 9:24-27 NET

Does this not speak to us all? I know that I was blind and by the grace of God, I see. Is there any of you out there who could not testify to the truth of that? Yet we don't share our story with the conviction of someone who has had a miracle performed in their life. is the blind seeing anything short of that? Might a generation looking for a miracle, not be swayed by such? Is your story anything short of that miracle? Speak of Christ to a world in need.

I need what he did, because of what I've done

I need what he is, because of what I am

and he did what he did, because of who I am

Who are you and who do you have to thank for that?

    Be blessed

    confused states

It amazes me , seems everyday now I look at the news and another state is in the process of banning inteligent design. I have to wonder why in a science class is it ok to tell kids that an improbable theory like evolution is science but the fact that the universe was created by a great and glorious God is not something children should even be made aware of. I would not mind so much if the theory of evolution had some scientific fact to back it up, but then we would call it the law of evolution would'nt we? You know when science finally catches up and verifies the truth of the Bible there is going to be a lot of embarrassed school teachers. Maybe not though they will more than likely stick to the flawed theory after all if you say something enough it eventually becomes true, doesn't it?

    superbowl40

I know this has nothing to do with my usual postings but I just have to throw in my 2 cents worth. Just have to voice my opinion on one of the worst officiated games I have ever watched. Final score Seattle 10 Pittsburgh 7 officials 14 so the steelers win it what will go down as one of the worst games the officials showed their allegiance to a team.

1 Corinthians 15, at least part of it

15:13 But if there is no resurrection of the dead, then not even Christ has been raised. 15:14 And if Christ has not been raised, then our preaching is futile and your faith is empty. 15:15 Also, we are found to be false witnesses about God, because we have testified against God that he raised Christ from the dead, when in reality he did not raise him, if indeed the dead are not raised. 15:16 For if the dead are not raised, then not even Christ has been raised. 15:17 And if Christ has not been raised, your faith is useless; you are still in your sins. 15:18 Furthermore, those who have fallen asleep10 in Christ have also perished. 15:19 For if only in this life we have hope in Christ, we should be pitied more than anyone.

15:20 But now Christ has been raised from the dead, the firstfruits of those who have fallen asleep. 15:21 For since death came through a man,11 the resurrection of the dead also came through a man.12 15:22 For just as in Adam all die, so also in Christ all will be made alive. 15:23 But each in his own order: Christ, the firstfruits; then when Christ comes, those who belong to him.13 15:24 Then14 comes the end,15 when he hands over the kingdom to God the Father, when he has brought to an end all rule and all authority and power. 15:25 For he must reign until he has put all his enemies under his feet. 15:26 The last enemy to be eliminated is death. 15:27 For he has put everything in subjection under his feet.16 But when it says “everything” has been put in subjection, it is clear that this does not include the one who put everything in subjection to him. 15:28 And when all things are subjected to him, then the Son himself will be subjected to the one who subjected everything to him, so that God may be all in all.

15:29 Otherwise, what will those do who are baptized for the dead?17 If the dead are not raised at all, then why are they baptized for them? 15 (NET Bible)

It all sounds fairly clear to me here. Why then are there still those who believe that the risen Christ was merely a spirit or even some form of halucination? I think that Paul is certain that Christ was risen, seems to me that Thomas touched him, he ate with them. Is it really that difficult to understand or is it just some would be chuches choose to mislead those that accept their misinformed and hellbent doctrines?

Be blessed, and believe. Your eternal soul depends on it
