    Gods house clean up time

Today was clean up day at the church. God is building a new and exciting building for us because we have just outgrown our old building. Although I have only been a member of the church for 2 months, I feel like I have been a member forever. All of the church family are special. The name of the church is The Gathering in Sevierville Tennessee. The Pastor is not afraid to preach and sometimes it hits you where it hurts. Remember when I told you earlier about being away from Gods house for such a long time and not really getting the purpose of being in the church. It was great to see everybody coming together and get the jobs at hand done. I feel obligated to do whatever I need to do for the church. I mean Jesus suffered so much pain and agony on the cross. He was beaten and whipped to where His skin was literally hanging off His body. Evan after all of this He was asked to carry His own cross that He was going to be hung on. The least I can do is push a broom and pick up trash. Maybe you feel like I’m over reacting, but the way I see it, God is looking down on me and He will bless me for my service. Again I feel like this is another lesson He is teaching me for His service. I see a church that is being built from ground level. I see what it takes to maintain it. Not to mention I feel closer to it because of the amount of time I have been helping. Get involved. It will give you a greater feeling inside. God bless……

    Ecclesiastes 4:9,10

Two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their hard work. 10 For if one of them should fall, the other one can raise his partner up. But how will it be with just the one who falls when there is not another to raise him up?

    Dying Flesh

I have been reading the Bible now for a while and I find myself looking at the world and my surroundings differently. I have asked several pastor friends of mine about this and I have come to the conclusion that it is God growing me closer to him. Example I find myself not listening to top 40 radio as much. Now I find myself listening to religious stations. My TV is now on more religious channels listening to evangelist and the like. I feel a change inside of me that I have never felt. Does this mean I need to not watch or listen to any other forms of media? Absolutely  not. I am just a better judge of what my surroundings are. I see people through a set of different eyes. I find myself evaluating everything. Bottom line is this. God is changing my spiritual self. I believe this happens to people differently. He is changing me at a very rapid pace. Sometime I feel like I can’t keep up, but I know it is for something he needs in his service and I stand ready to absorb as much as he will let me.

Romans 7:24-25 O wretched man that I am! Who will deliver me from this body of death? I think God- through Jesus Christ our Lord! So then, with the mind I myself serve the law of God, but with the flesh the law of sin.

    Clean slate with my son

Have you ever really taked with your kids? I mean really not hideing anything, a raw emotional clean your heart out talk? I did tonight. We have a clean slate and understand each other better then ever. I think God that he laid it on my heart to do so. You see time goes by so fast and befor you know it they are gone off into the real world. If you just let them proceed and you do not talk, you will regret it later. When they have children of their own, if you did not forge a relationship with them, it will carry over. I believe this is another chapter in my walk to God. He will repair your relationships if you put it in His hands. I really look forward to the comming years with my son and helping him walk with Christ. I also look forward to our relationship together. God Bless.......

Proverbs 22:6 Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it.

    In Church this morning

Hi all and to God be the glory!,
I was in church this morning probably just like all other Christians, but I listened with my thoughts open to God. You see a lot of Christians just go to church. What I mean by that is they do the same thing every Sunday. They have their certain spot that they sit in church. They have the same people that they sit with. The same way they sing or pray. You know the routine. A certain way the service goes. Let me just say that there is nothing wrong with that, but I believe we are called to serve in the church. We are not going for social hour. I intimately listened to our Pastor pour his heart out to get people to understand that as a church member you are called to use your talents for the gory of our Lord. If I sound like I'm beating you up, I do not mean to. It is just because I finally get it. How many of you are willing to step out of the comfort zone and really live for Christ? I really feel like this is why so many churches are dyeing out in America. We want everyone else to do the work while we as members just try and reap the rewards later. I guess God wanted me to get it....He wants me to not be a pew warmer. (Wow that was harsh). You see for a long time I have been away from the church, and was doing my own thing. God allowed me to return and was patient with me. Now I feel the least I can do is be an example for Him and try to lead others to Him so they may see his glory someday. This is just one of many steps I have to take to renew my relationship with Him. May God bless you until next time....

John 12:26 If anyone serves Me, let him follow Me; and where I am, there My servant will be also. If anyone serves Me, him My Father will honor.

    My walk back

Today I begin to let you in on my walk to and with God. It is my hope than in some way I may touch a lost or hurting person and show them the way to eternal life and out of their situation, because there is a better life if you believe in the Word and God. I am not a Pastor of a church, I am just a person who is being changed and led by Christ to do his will. For those of you who are ready this should be a interesting journey that we begin together…..God bless …. I will always try to end with a bible verse……Here is the first one.

John 3:16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.
