    Hebrews

My apologies to all i am kind of lost in Hebrews at the moment and it has caused me a good deal of strife. with any luck I will get through this intact thought i would take a moment to share though

8:7 For if that first covenant had been faultless, no one would have looked for a second one.13 8:8 But14 showing its fault,15 God16 says to them,17

Look, the days are coming, says the Lord, when I will complete a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah.

8:9It will not be like the covenant18 that I made with their fathers, on the day when I took them by the hand to lead them out of Egypt, because they did not continue in my covenant and I had no regard for them, says the Lord.

8:10For this is the covenant that I will establish with the house of Israel after those days, says the Lord. I will put19 my laws in their minds20 and I will inscribe them on their hearts. And I will be their God and they will be my people.21

8:11And there will be no need at all22 for each one to teach his countryman or each one to teach his brother saying, Know the Lord, since they will all know me, from the least to the greatest.23

8:12For I will be merciful toward their evil deeds, and their sins I will remember no longer.24

8:13 When he speaks of a new covenant,25 he makes the first obsolete. Now what is growing obsolete and aging is about to disappear.26(NET)

3:1 Therefore, holy brothers and sisters,1 partners in a heavenly calling, take note of Jesus, the apostle and high priest whom we confess,2 3:2 who is faithful to the one who appointed him, as Moses was also in God’s3 house.4 3:3 For he has come to deserve greater glory than Moses, just as the builder of a house deserves greater honor than the house itself! 3:4 For every house is built by someone, but the builder of all things is God. 3:5 Now Moses was faithful in all God’s5 house6 as a servant, to testify to the things that would be spoken. 3:6 But Christ7 is faithful as a son over God’s8 house. We are of his house,9 if in fact we hold firmly10 to our confidence and the hope we take pride in.11 Hebrews 3:1-6 (NET Bible)

Jesus the apostle and high priest, what is an apostle? One who has been sent. The book of John mentions some 60 times being sent Christ was sent to pay the price for our sin and as those who share in that gift He in turn has sent us to witness to others.Share your story, share His glory, that is our job

    Eternal or timeless

how is everyone doing? Hope the new year finds all healthy, happy and seeking the will of God.

So I got a new book, systematic theology by Wayne Grudem. I am finding it to be a pretty good book which has caused me to spend more time in the scriptures and neglect alot of the other things in my life. A question has arose while I was reading an assesment of this book. I don't remember who wrote it but they were criticising Grudems approach to God being timeless at least the way I read it they were claiming God was eternal and not timeless, because in order to be timeless He would have to view today tommorrow and yesterday simultaneously. maybe I just read incorrectly the criticism , It was very long and rambling but it caused me to wonder is there such a great difference between God being timeless and God being eternal because the way I see it before God created time He was timeless. I mean you can't really put a timeline on something when time does not exist. So I understand that God is eternal but did He stop being timeless when He created time? It just seems to me that maybe this guy had to much time on his hands and resorted to splitting hairs. Got a different opinion or maybe an explanation about where I went wrong in the process, let me know
