"Follow Me, and I will make you fishers of men"
          Matthew 4:19

Too many churchgoers are singing "Standing on the Promises" when all they are doing is sitting on the premises.

That ye be not slothful, but followers of them who through faith and patience inherit the promises. Hebrews 6:12

    Good Morning & God bless....

Mel, you are probably right. That's what I kept in mind. - Thanks, Amanda

A person's true character is revealed by what he does when no one is watching.

"Obey them not only to win their favor when their eye is on you, but like slaves of Christ, doing the will of God from your heart." Ephesians 6:6 NIV

It's been awhile...I hope everyone is doing good. We had to go back to my home town this weekend, and found our other home broken in to. I was so upset. Just to replace one window was 150.00, and my husband did the labor. I couldn't believe it. We were blessed though because they did not touch anything inside. Thank God! Well, you guys have a good night sleep & I'll see you again soon.....In Christ Love- Amanda

It is better to be silent and be considered a fool, than tp speak and remove all doubt.

"Yea also, when he that is a fool walketh by the way, his wisdom faileth him, and he saith to every one that he is a fool." Eccl. 10:3

Good Morning.....How true this is. If you read the NIV version it says "Even as he walks along the road, the fool lacks sense and shows everyone how stupid he is."

Remember the banana-When it left the bunch, it got skinned.

"Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another; and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching. Hebrews 10:25

Good Morning to all.....Well, it's Monday, what can be said about Monday? Hey, It's another day God has given us. I have 2 finals coming up on Wed. & Thurs. and I can't think I'm soooooooooooo sick. Pray for me. The weather is so nasty here, but we needed the rain. We got about 2 inches yesterday. In Christ Love, Amanda

He who is waiting for something to turn up might start with his own shirt sleeves......

"All hard work brings a profit, but mere talk leads only to poverty. Proverbs 14:23 NIV

Good afternoon...We are finally getting rain!! Thank you God! It has been so dry here. We need it to pour....lol.... I hope everyone has had a good weekend. My husband had family that came down from Oklahoma yesterday. We spent the day with them, it was nice. My son has baseball tryouts soon. It seems like you go from one activity to the next. I will soon let my daughter start some after school activity, I'm just not sure exactly what. Well, I'll talk to you later.  In Christ Love-Amanda

Patience is the ability to keep your motor idling when you feel like stripping your gears....

He that is slow to anger is better than the mighty; and he that ruleth his spirit than he that taketh a city. Proverbs 16:32

The grass may look greener on the other side, but it still has to be mowed.

.....And be content with such things as ye have.....Hebrews 13:5

Good Morning, or should I say afternoon....lol

The funeral was nice. Everything turned out wonderfully. I thank you for all the prayers.

"Therefore thou shalt keep the commandments of the Lord thy God, to walk in His ways, and tofear Him" (Deuteronomy 8:6)

When you obey God's commands and walk in His ways, you show your faithfulness. Your faithfulness, in turn, pleases God, and He will reward you for it. God Bless- Amanda

Good afternoon to all....I am leaving tomorrow to go to Orange Texas for a funeral, pray for me. Today has been good....Did my everyday house work, met my husband for lunch(good old Subway):-), and then went to buy an outfit for the funeral. I'm a country girl, not too many dresses in my closet....HA! HA! And guess what...I still didn't buy one. I bought a nice pants suite instead. That's me. Anyhow, you're probably not interested on my clothing, but thought I would throw that in there. The Lord has been so good to me... I can't imagen my life without him. Sometimes I think about my past...Man,I don't want to go down that path again. It almost seems scarey. Well, until next time- In Christ Love- Amanda

"O send out thy light and thy truth; let them lead me; let them bring me unto thy Holy hill, and to thy tabernacles" (Psalm 43:3)

When the spirit of God speaks to you, His word is like a lantern that lights your path and a compass that directs your footsteps. Follow the Holy Spirit as he leads you into the presence of God!

    Amen!! Have a great day.

A friend of mine, Joe Delk just lost his grandfather. What do you say? I find myself thinking about my grandmother. She passed on Aug.1st, 2005. I was giving her a bath, she held my hand, looked at me, and then she was called home. For the longest I had nightmares of her passing....I had to hold on to the Lord, firm grasp. It's still hard sometimes, though. Please keep Joe Delk in your prayers...He needs the Lord. We all need the Lord.  In Christ Love- Amanda

Good morning..... "The Lord is good, a strong hold in the day of trouble; and he knoweth them that trust in Him" (Nahum 1:7)

Whenever you're in trouble, God is there to help you. Run to Him and take refuge in His arms.

We, as sinful humans, try to fix everything ourselves. We need to learn to depend on the Lord, and not ourselves.

Today started out good...My husband woke up & decided he would go to church with me. I was shocked! He says he will go next week also, pray for him. I don't want him to go, because I want him to. I want him to go, to serve the Lord. Now don't get me wrong, church is not for everybody, but it's for me. I enjoy going & worshiping the Lord. We then went down to the bottom, which is Clay Texas. My father in-law owns 100 or so acres and we go down there to skeet shoot. It's fun! Anyhow, the Lord has been good to me & I love Him dearly for it. Have a blessed day- Amanda

This morning has started off rather strange. As I'm drinking my 2nd cup of coffee, my dogs decided to start running a muck. I thought, "Who is here at this time of the morning". I looked out side to see police, state troopers, ambulances, & fire trucks. Lights everywhere! Now you have to picture my property, it is a hay pasture. And the road ahead is a Farm Road. Next thing I see is a helicopter circleing my home. There were 6 men laying out BIG cones to guide the helicopter. I couldn't believe my eyes when I seen it land in my pasture. There were cameras every where. Reporters too. It seemed that there was an accident and a man was dieing. I am still in shock! I watched them as they took him from one ambulance to another. Machines not functioning right, & things were a mess. We get in our cars and we go.....Most turn their radios up so loud they can't hear themselves think. I ask you to please consider others. Everytime you get behind the wheel of a car you are becoming resposible for others. And others are responsible for you. Please, if you have to leave an extra 5 or 10 minutes earlier so you don't have to speed, do so. Remember, there are children in these cars. My husband lost his brother back in 1996 due to a drunk driver. His brother was only 18 years old. It was 2 weeks before graduation. My husband accepted his diploma, and spoke on his behalf. It was a sad day for us all.

Prayer: Lord God, I thank you for another day, to serve you. Lord God, I ask that you heal this mans body. For I do not know him, but I know you. I know that your will, will be done. I also ask Lord, that you will be with his family. Dear Father, I love you, I need you, & I ask all these things in Jesus holy name. AMEN.

Good Morning to all.... As I sit down to my 3rd cup of coffee, I am brought to this place of quietness. It's so nice, sometimes. :-) My mother called me yesterday to inform me that a member of my church, back home, had passed. He suffered with cancer for years & God decided to call him home. He reminded me of my grandfather. My grandfather died of cancer back in 1996. You would never hear him complain. He knew that the Lord would see him through it. That strength that the Lord blessed him with was amazing. Well, I'm gonna go. Got clothes to wash, & dishes to do.

    Prayer for the day:

Thank you, Jesus, that your Spirit brings such comfort to my heart. I pray that everyone can experience that comfort. Amen.

Well, I'm waiting to go pick up my son from basketball practice. For some reason the coach decided to have practice @ 7 tonight. His team won last Sat. 40 to 15. I was so proud of them. This maybe to personal, but if anyone has a opinion, please feel free to add. I'm having problems getting my husband to attend church with me. I know that I can not make him do something he does not want to. But as a mother I think it's important to keep your child in church. I enjoy it myself, plus I feel that it's the only thing that keeps me grounded in His word. It's hard being yoke with someone who is not a christian, but when I married my husband I myself was not. I became saved during our marriage. I guess all I can do is continue to pray for him, give it to the Lord. I just wish we were on the same page with this.- In Christ Love- Me
