    Tears of the Father

" ... And being found in fashion as a man, He humbled Himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.  Wherefore God also hath highly exalted Him, and given Him a name which is above every name:  That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and in earth, and things under the earth; And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father ... "  Phil 2:8-11 KJV

What if the tree that was used for the cross of Jesus was watered with the tears of God?  I don't believe it was watered with rain like all the other trees.... but that so many tears fell from the heart of God it was enough to water Jesus' tree.  He knew that His beloved son would one day be tortured, abused and crucified upon it.

Would you water a tree that you knew one day would be used to torture and kill your son?  Of course not!  This kind of unconditional unselfish and amazing love can only come from our Heavenly Father.  How His heart must have been broken, day after day as He watched His beloved creation fall to sin.  How He must have cried.  How gracious He is to come to earth to be rejected and ignored.

There is no other name that thrills my soul like the precious name of Jesus!  The name above every name!  Oh how respected, honored, cherished and adored He is in my life!  I have said this countless times and will say it as long as I have a breath - there is no friend like Jesus!  Blessed Redeemer!  Living Word!  It is a privilege just to think about His amazing love.

Do you love Jesus?  What are you willing to do to prove it?

How many tears have you shed for Him?

Do We Think of Them Enough?

As we watch that movie in our secure homes, as we drive on roads not destroyed by bombs, as our children play safely and attend schools not shattered by war ... do we think of them?

When we freely walk into our church and our eyes are closed in prayer, do we think of them?

When our families need medical care and our hospitals are completely operational, do we think of them?

We see them in uniform and pause for a moment, realizing the significance of just who they are ... the 6 o'clock news shows us their images, until we change channels to "something less depressing".

    We think of them....

     Sometimes ....

But the United States Military and our brave and loyal Allies are not "sometime" ... They are CONSTANT.  CONSTANTLY ALERT!  CONSTANTLY READY! AND CONSTANTLY AWARE THAT WAR COSTS LIVES!!

As we reap what they sow, do we think of them?

As we relish in our "sweet land of liberty" and enjoy "home sweet home", do we think of them?

As of January 1, 2007, 3000 American lives have been sacrificed.

    Think of them

    PHISHING

In response to an "anonymous" comment left here regarding my website:  This is the meaning of PHISHING:

Online phishing (pronounced fishing) is a way to trick computer users into revealing personal or financial information through an e-mail message or website.  A common online phishing scam starts with  an e-mail that looks like an official notice from a trusted source such as a bank, credit card company, or reputable online merchant.  In the e-mail message, recipients are directed to a fraudulent website where they are asked to provide personal information such as an accoun number or password.  This information is then used for identity theft.

My site is certainly nowhere near a 'phishing' site and I laugh out loud at whoever accused me of phishing because they obviously don't know what they're talking about!  Anyone wishing to check me out is invited to visit my website.

Called "Talkers Chatter"; my ministry has been going strong now for 14 months:  http://geocities.com/talkercatbiscuits/Talkers_Chatter  and I plan to continue to growing it as long as the Lord leads me.

Some village must be missing an idiot.

    Blessings ~

PS: Thank you "ANONYMOUS", for the publicity!  I couldn't have done better myself.  What a blessing you've been.  Keep up the good work!

    New Year's Day, 2007

    Hello Friends,

It is with mixed feelings that I greet the coming new year.  2006 brought so much richness to my life - with both pain and glory.

However, I look forward with joy and anticipation to all of the wonderful things God is going to do in the new year.  What a privilege and honor it is to be able to serve my best friend, Jesus!  There is no one like Him!  There is nobody who loves us like He loves!  Hallelelujah to the King of Kings and Lord of Lords!  One day I will see Him face-to-face!  Pure joy floods my heart at the IDEA that I will be able to put my arms around Him and hug Him and try to tell Him how much I appreciate Him.

One of the things that God has impressed on my heart this year is that my time schedule is not His time schedule.  I was very sleepy an hour or so ago and was turning down lights and shutting down the computer when I thought "check your email".  Sure enough there was a message from a friend that was hurting.  She needed a phone call, to be held up in prayer.  I want to encourage and challenge all of you in this coming year to open your heart's door a little wider and make time for friends.  Most of us have very busy and demanding schedules but Jesus has commanded us to encourage one another.  All of us need a person with whom we can share what is in our hearts, knowing that we won't be judged, criticized or ridiculed.  We need to be available because God might want to use us to water someone's heart with His unconditional love.

Tell your friends that you love and appreciate them today!  We may not have tomorrow.  The Bible says, "Greater love hath no man than this; that a man lay down his life for his friends".  We'll probably never be called upon to literally die for someone but we do need to be an encouraging and supportive line for them.

I feel honored that anyone would read the message I post here  I've grown fond of and look forward to your comments.  If anyone has a prayer request, or just needs a confidante to talk to, please email me or post a comment and I'll write back.  I pray that all of you have a most joyous and blessed new year.  The greatest thing we can do for our family, loved ones and friends is to not only tell them about the love of Jesus, but to show them through our own actions how much Jesus loves them.

May God richly bless all of you.  Remember always that you are loved by the Savior of the World!

Because He lived, we can face tomorrow!

    In His Service,

    TalkerCat
