    Matthew 11:28-30

28: Come unto me,all ye that labour and our heavy laden, and I will give you rest.

29:Take my yoke upon you,and learn of me,for I am meek and lowly in heart, and ye shall find rest unto your souls.

    Time for a new begining...

Now is the time for a new beginning, Ridding ourselves of all doubts and fears. Time to move on with faith and courage. Time to let go of all grieving and tears.

We seek new paths with great joy and daring. Talents and gifts we are sure to find. We will help others who need compassion. Negative thoughts are now all left behind.

God is our refuge. the Spirit will lead us, And every stress will now disappear. All is replaced with love and believing. God's holy word does make everything clear.

Now is the time for a new beginning. Knowing through faith all things we can do. No longer burdened with pain and sorrow. Jesus, our Savior, has made all things new.

I will say of the Lord, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in Him will I trust. Psalm 91;2

    Just Something to Share

This is an e-mail I got from my baby sister after sending her pictures of my wreck. It touched me deeply, and I thought it had a mesage for all.

Hey, Looks like a pretty rough ride! Sorry I didn't reply sooner, I hardly ever check mail. If you ever write me and don't get an answer and need one, you should call me. I would like to sit down and talk. I've really been praying hard for you. I know that you know there is nothing too big for God, but I also know that sometimes it is hard to remember that. He is so good to us, amazingly sometimes it seems He is the best to us when we don't deserve it at all, of course we never deserve it, that's why it's called Grace! Another cool thing I have really been trying to pay attention too lately is how many times the very thing the Devil intends for our hurt God uses for our good, if we allow Him to. Sometimes it is easy to blame God for the situations in life, but we have to stop and remember, He created everything perfect, it was us that messed it up, and we are still paying for it today. Sin always looks pretty and is also usually fun........ for a season, but then there is the consiquence. Nothing takes God by surprise though, and that is where we have to put our trust. God is too good to be unkind, and God is too big to be mistaken. Just remember, He never moves away from us, we are the ones doing the running. And when we finally decide we were wrong, He's still waiting right there where we left Him and always with open arms! It's never too late, or too wrong to ask God to forgive us. Just speak the word and it is done! Done----- as in FORGOTTEN, to never be brought back up again, never to be used against us when it's convenient for Him, but cast as far as the east is from the west. What an awesome God!!!! Just a mini sermon God thought you could use I guess. I love you!

Please call me if you need me. Love, Missy

Today's Word from Joel and Victoria The key to living a happy, fulfilling, satisfied life, is really very simple. Just be the person God made you to be, and have the courage to do what God called you to do. He has a unique and individual plan for your life, and the way to becoming a champion for God is to discover that plan and follow it wherever it may lead. But because you are human, it's easy for you to get distracted—many times, because you're trying too hard to please other people. Of course, there are legitimate demands on your time that must be met. The good news is that these things don't have to thwart God's plans for you. Just make it your desire to follow and please Him, and you won't be thrown off the path by life's demands and distractions. A Prayer for Today Lord, please help me today to use the abilities and gifts You have given me to honor You. Thank You for not expecting me to try and be someone other than the person You made me to be. In Jesus' name. Amen.

    Treasures in Heaven

Matthew 6:19-34 (New International Version) New International Version (NIV) Copyright © 1973, 1978, 1984 by International Bible Society Treasures in Heaven 19"Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. 20But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moth and rust do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal. 21For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also. 22"The eye is the lamp of the body. If your eyes are good, your whole body will be full of light. 23But if your eyes are bad, your whole body will be full of darkness. If then the light within you is darkness, how great is that darkness! 24"No one can serve two masters. Either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and Money. Do Not Worry 25"Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more important than food, and the body more important than clothes? 26Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? 27Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life[a]? 28"And why do you worry about clothes? See how the lilies of the field grow. They do not labor or spin. 29Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these. 30If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, will he not much more clothe you, O you of little faith? 31So do not worry, saying, 'What shall we eat?' or 'What shall we drink?' or 'What shall we wear?' 32For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. 33But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. 34Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.

    Giving Thanks

Giving Thanks Psalm 100 A Psalm of praise. Make a joyful noise unto the Lord, all ye lands. Serve the Lord with gladness: come before his presence with singing. Know ye that the Lord he is God: it is he that hath made us, and not we ourselves; we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture. Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name. For the Lord is good; his mercy is everlasting; and his truth endureth to all generations. God Bless Steven Wilson

    Knowing and Worshiping

Knowing and Worshiping We saw His star when it rose and have come to worship Him. Matthew 2:2 There is a difference between knowing the right answers and being a Christian. This is clearly illustrated in the difference between the Jewish religious leaders and the Wise Men. The chief priests and scribes were the ones who knew the right answers. When asked where the Christ was to be born, they could quote chapter and verse. But that’s where it ended. Their knowledge didn’t lead them anywhere. They remained without Christ. But notice what makes the Wise Men truly wise. They hear the Word of God, they see the external sign of the star, and they are led by them to worship Jesus. Their knowledge guides them to the place where Jesus is present for them in the flesh. They fall down before Him in adoration. Their gifts reveal the joy these Gentiles have in being included in His salvation. God is still leading us to His Son today. He causes His Christ-centered Scriptures to be heard and preached. He gives us the external sign of the Sacrament of the Altar, that we may know where Jesus is bodily present for us. Through faith in Him, God makes us truly wise so that our knowledge leads us to kneel before Him in worship, receiving His gifts of life and salvation. Heavenly Father, thank You for guiding us to Christ, our Savior. In Jesus’ name. Amen. God Bless Steven Wilson

    For my friends here!

Yesterday -- Today -- Tomorrow Yesterday I met a stranger... Today this stranger is my friend. Had I not taken the time to say hello, or return a smile, or shake a hand, or listen, I would not have known this person. Yesterday would have turned into today and our chance meeting would be gone. Yesterday I hugged someone very dear to me. Today they are gone... and tomorrow will not bring them back. Wouldn't it be nice if we all knew tomorrow would be here? But this is not to be, so take the time TODAY to give a hug, a smile, an "I love you"... JUST FOR TODAY, ...smile at a stranger ...listen to someone's heart ...drop a coin where a child can find it ...learn something new, then teach it to someone ...tell someone you're thinking of them ...hug a loved one ...don't hold a grudge ...don't be afraid to say "I'm sorry" ...look a child in the eye and tell them how great they are ...don't kill that spider in your house, he's just lost so show him the way out ...look beyond the face of a person into their heart ...make a promise, and keep it ...call someone, for no other reason than to just say "hi" ...show kindness to an animal ...stand up for what you believe in ...smell the rain, feel the breeze, listen to the wind ...use all your senses to their fullest ...cherish all your TODAYS Today you were thought about by me.... Send this to a friend and let them know they were thought about TODAY!

    No Jacket Required

I shook my head in disbelief. This couldn't be the right place. After all, I couldn't possibly be welcome here. I had been given an invitation several times, by several different people, and I had finally decided to see what this place was all about. But, this just couldn't be the right place. Quickly, I glanced down at the invitation that I clutched in my hand. I scanned past the words, "Come as you are. No jacket required" and found the location. Yes, I was at the right place. I peered through the window again and saw a room of people whose faces seemed to glow with joy. All were neatly dressed, adorned in fine garments and appeared strangely clean as they dined at this exquisite restaurant. Ashamed, I looked down at my own tattered and torn clothing, covered in stains. I was dirty, in fact, filthy. A foul smell seemed to consume me and I couldn't shake the grime that clung to my body. As I turned around to leave, the words from the invitation seemed to leap out at me... "Come as you are. No jacket required." I decided to give it a shot. Mustering up every bit of courage I could find, I opened the door to this restaurant and walked up to a man standing behind a podium. "Your name, sir?" he asked me with a smile. "Jimmy D. Brown," I mumbled without looking up. I thrust my hands deep into my pockets, hoping to conceal their stains. He didn't seem to notice the filth that I was covered inand he continued, "Very good, sir. A table is reserved in your name. Would you like to be seated?" I couldn't believe what I heard! A grin broke out on my face and I said, "Yes, of course!" He led me to a table, and sure enough, there was a place-card with my name written on it in a deep, dark red. As I browsed over a menu, I saw many delightful items listed. There were things like, "peace," "joy," "blessings," "confidence," "assurance," "hope," "love," "faith," and "mercy." I realized that this was no ordinary restaurant! I flipped the menu back to the front in order to see where I was at... "God's Grace," was the name of this place. The man returned and said, " recommend the 'Special of the Day'. With it you are entitled to heaping portions of everything on this menu. You've got to be kidding! I thought to myself. You mean, I can have ALL of this?! "What is the 'Special of the Day'?" I asked with excitement ringing in my voice. "Salvation," was his reply. "I'll take it," I practically cried out. Then, as quickly as I made that statement, the joy left my body. A sick painful ache jerked through my stomach and tears filled my eyes. Between my sobs I said... "Mister, look at me. I'm dirty and nasty. I am unclean and unworthy of such things. I'd love to have all of this, but, but, I just can't afford it." Undaunted, the man smiled again. "Sir, your check has already been taken care of by that Gentleman over there," he said as he pointed to the front of the room. "His name is Jesus." Turning, I saw a man whose very presence seemed to light the room. He was almost too much to look at. I found myself walking towards Him and in a shaking voice I whispered, "Sir, I'll wash the dishes or sweep the floors or take out the trash. I'll do anything I can do to repay You for all this." He opened His arms and said with a smile, "Son, all of this is yours if you just come unto me. Ask me to clean you up and I will. Ask me to allow you to feast at my table and you will eat. Remember, the table is reserved in your name. All you must do is accept this gift that I offer you." Astonished, I fell at his feet and said, "Please, Jesus. Please clean up my life. Please change me and sit me at your table and give me this new life." Immediately, I heard the words, "It is finished." I looked down and white robes adorned my body. Something strange and wonderful had happened. I felt new, like a weight had been lifted and I found myself seated at His table. "The 'Special of the Day' has been served," The Lord said to me. "Salvation is yours." We sat and talked for a great while and I so enjoyed the time that I spent with Him. He told me, me of all people, that He would like for me to come back as often as I liked for another helping from God's Grace. He made it clear that He wanted me to spend as much time with Him as possible. As it drew near time for me to go back outside into the "real world," He whispered to me softly, "And Lo, I am with you always." And then, He said something to me that I will never forget. He said... "My child, do you see these empty tables?" "Yes, Lord. I see them. What do they mean?" I replied. "These are reserved tables...but the individuals whose names are on each place-card have not accepted their invitation yet. Would you be so kind as to hand out these invitations to those who have not joined us as yet?" Jesus asked. "Of course," I said with excitement as I picked up the invitations. "Go ye therefore into all nations." He said as I turned to leave. I walked into God's Grace dirty and hungry. Stained in sin. My righteousness as filthy rags. And Jesus cleaned me up. I walked out a brand new man...robed in white, His righteousness. And so, I'll keep my promise to my Lord. I'll go. I'll spread the Word. I'll share the Gospel... I'll hand out the invitations. And I'll start with you. Have you been to God's Grace? There's a table reserved in your name, and here's your invitation... "Come as you are. No jacket required." ~Author Unknown~ "For by grace are you saved through faith: and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:" Ephesians 2: 8

    Unfolding The Rosebud

UNFOLDING THE ROSEBUD It is only a tiny rosebud, A flower of God's design; But I cannot unfold the petals With these clumsy hands of mine. The secret of unfolding flowers Is not known to such as I. GOD opens this flower so sweetly, When in my hands they fade and die. If I cannot unfold a rosebud, This flower of God's design, Then how can I think I have wisdom To unfold this life of mine? So I'll trust in Him for His leading Each moment of every day. I will look to Him for His guidance Each step of the pilgrim way. The pathway that lies before me, Only my Heavenly Father knows. I'll trust Him to unfold the moments, Just as He unfolds the rose. {author unknown} God Bless Steven Wilson

    Don't Settle for a Burger

Don't settle for a burger! Jeremiah 33:3 Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and shew thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not. In today's society fast food is making billions. It's slogans are "have it your way" and "have it hot and and have it now". How easy it is for us to fall into this "fast food mentality". It has almost become who we are. But in God's kingdom there's no fast food. We can't always have it our way and now. When we are caught up in this fast food mentality, we lose the true meaning of patience. True patience is the ability to wait on the Lord through trials without complaining and worrying; it is to be tested and persevere through trial. We need to be patiently waiting on the Lord to answer us in a new way! We cannot shortcut the things of God. If we want a deeper anointing of the Spirit in our lives, we need to avoid this fast food mentality. We cannot have a deeper walk with the Lord without spending time in his Word, without spending time in intimate prayer, without walking in repentance and humility, and practicing a life of holiness. Is this a tall order? Yes, but when we are focused on God and patiently waiting on Him to answer -- He will preparing a blessing beyond our imagination! Let's not settle for a hamburger, fries and coke -- when the Lord has a delicious, heavenly feast prepared for us!
