Don't Be Deceived
What can I believe? Who can I believe? people want to know what is real and what is true. The tangled threads of secular ideologies invading our society provide deceptive answers to lifes most significant questions. Contrary to popular opinion, absolute truth does exsist, firmly rooted in Gods authoritative Word... And I sent messengars unto them, saying, I am doing a great work, so that I cannot come down: why should the work cease, while I leave it, and come down to you? Nehemiah 6:3.. Nehemiah was not decieved by the enemy who sought to draw him away from the work God had given him. How susceptible are we to the lies of those who would lead us away from Gods purposes? A virtue often ignored in todays culture is integrity a quality that embraces ethical values actions and thoughts. Someone once wrote , we have grasped the mystry of the atom but we have rejected the Sermon on the Mount. We have achieved brilliance without wisdom and power without conscience. Our Lord wants to help us discern truth from error.

Distinct From The World
Why shouldn't I after all, everyone else is. Such is the common reasoning for most age groups. Peter provided advice for that question. As Christians we are not to be like everyone else. We are to be Holy, which means set apart. We are to rid our minds of anything that would cause our conversations or lifestyles to suggest we are following the ways of the world. We are to distinct, holy , and set apart from the world. Why are we to be holy? because God is holy, and we should strive to be like Him... Because it is written,.....BE YE HOLY; FOR I AM HOLY.1 Peter 1:16

He Is Love
God is the source of love. Love is the main characteristic of Christians. We are to channel Gods love to others. Not everyone is receptive to Gods love, but how precious it is when another person responds to Gods love because he or she has seen Gods love in us... He that loveth not knoweth not God: for God is love. 1 John 4:8

Just As God Is Generous
As a child you probably repeated this mealtime prayer; God is great, God is good. Let us thank him for our food. By His hand we are fed. He gives to us our daily bread. With these simple words children learned about the generosity of our Heavenly Father and that God suplies our needs. We may have asked God for something and never recieved it. Maybe we continued to pray and beg, perhaps asking others to join in petitioning God to provide an answer---- the answer we wanted? Perhaps later we find ourselves thanking God that our prayer was not answered. We must understand that God knows our needs. He sees the big picture while we only see the present. And God is indeed generous in providing our needs... That thou givest them they gather; thou openest thine hand, they are filled with good. Psalm 104:28

PROBLEMS
We all have problems whether it be at church or at work or at home. saten tries to destroy every thing that is good and holy. He trys to destroy the church through the congregation, who lets him take over their hearts., and then they speak harm of one and another, and cause trouble for the whole church. At work when your boss or fellow workers give you a much harder time than usual, at home when our children or our spouses just seem to do all they can to get on our nerves. But we need to always remember there is always someone to turn to. Our saviour Jesus Christ. Hebrews 10:23-24-25 Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; for he is faithful as promised. 24-And let us consider one another to provoke into love and to good works.-25 Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another; and so much the more as we see the day approaching. Amen

PRAY FOR THE SICK
And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he hath commited sins, they shall be forgiven him. James 5:15... As members of Gods family, we have the privilege and responsibility of praying for one another during sickness. Some recent research shows that patients who are prayed for fare much better than those not prayed for.. Yet we know God does not heal every person we pray for, at least not here on earth. When we pray in faith, we believe God can do anything we ask. But the prayer of faith does not stop there; it also involves surrender. We must move past twisting Gods arm to trusting Him to do whatever will bring Him the most glory. At times God may give us the assurance He plans to heal as we desire.. When He does not give this assurance, His Spirit will intercede for us according to the will of God. [Romans 8:27]

Awsome God
While I was sick and laid up in the hospital. I did a lot of thinking. I wonder if sometimes we take our Lord for granted. We just call on Him when we need Him. Otherwise we never think of our Lord. God is an awsome God He is the center of life. The creator of all things We should be in awe of Gods great power Worship Him above all things and keep God first in our hearts and minds. God is not something you pull out of your pocket when you need Him. He is there all the time in charge of all beings and all things, an awsome and powerful true and living God. We should fall on our face and worship Him, for what He truly is, The one and only true and living God... O praise the LORD all ye nations : praise him all ye people.2-For his merciful kindness is great toward us: and the truth of the LORD endureth forever. Praise ye the Lord. Psalm 117:1-2
