HEAVEN THAN THOSE WHO WILL
REJECT HIM AND GO INTO THE LAKE OF FIRE
Mat
7:13Enter ye in at the
strait gate: for wide is the
gate, and broad is the way, that
leadeth to destruction, and many there
be which go in thereat: Mat
7:14Because strait is the
gate, and narrow is the
way, which leadeth unto life, and few there
be that find it.
Some interpret Mt 7:13-14 TO MEAN IN
ERROR that Jesus teaches that most people will go into the lake of fire and not
be saved. However, the scriptures make it clear that a false doctrine has been
made out of these few verses.
Jesus was addressing unbelieving Jews of
the flesh, who boasted of being righteous based merely on human genetics, along
with those who claimed to be righteous on the basis of said faith with no
evidence of love and obedience towards God. See Mat
8.
it's not uncommon for the ignorant to
mistakenly misinterpret scripture, likely due to poor or no teaching. however,
the righteous will receive correction, but the wicked never will.
It is blasphemous to willfully teach that
Lord Jesus came to die on the cross, to leave most people lost and condemned to
the lake of fire. The children of the devil sneak in amongst the saints in vain
to pervert God’s word and turn the good news into toxic bad news that salvation
is unachievable for most persons so most will die in the lake of fire: Luk
6:45.
The everlasting absolute truth, is found
in the whole of scripture, therefore, the correct interpretation is that there
will be too many people to count that will believe and enter into heaven. See
and believe the truth of the inerrant absolute authority of scripture in the
verses below, and many more than I can put here.
Mat
8:11And I say unto
you, That many shall come from the
east and west, and shall sit
down with Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob, in the
kingdom of heaven.
Rev
7:9
After this I
beheld, and, lo, a GREAT MULTITUDE, WHICH NO
MAN COULD NUMBER; of ALL nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues, stood before the
throne, and before the Lamb, clothed with
white robes, and palms in their hands;
Those who bypass the scriptures
wholistically tend to make doctrines in error, that would not have occurred had
they looked at the whole of scripture rather than bits or pieces of it. We
know, holy people, that the scriptures are more than merely words on a page. It
is the sole spiritual food for you, me, us the whole church and each member in
particular.
Jesus still speaks today, still
fellowships today, seeks intimacy today, still comforts, heals, guides,
protects, teaches, corrects, disciplines, nourishes His church today through
His word, and lives in His people with God our Father and God the Holy Ghost.
I implore you brethren continually eat
and drink into Christ the King who will fill you to the full, establish you,
make your heart glad, and fill you with His love, truth and strength.
Brothers and sisters, we know that we all
initially arrive saved, coming in with our hang-ups, habits, thoughts,
feelings, ways of living and acting some of which are unacceptable to God
because they are out of sync with scriptures. God commands us to understand
that He does not negotiate, compromise, cut a deal, bargain, or change His word
to please men, again God never does that-although men may wrongly change His
word to please men-again God never does.
Thanks to God, that as we learn that we
can trust that He loves us and wants the very best for us, we turn over to Him
those things that He commands that we freely relinquish/yield up to Him,
turning to obey Him out of love to please Him not ourselves. Raise your hand,
brethren, if you struggled with some carnal thing, you thought you couldn’t
give up and/or couldn’t master nor change, but perhaps after many attempts and
false starts you submitted in love and trust to Jesus and overcame that
thing(s). I raised mine a few times and it likely won’t be the last time.
For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even
to the dividing
asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a
discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.
The New Covenant of Jesus Christ we know,
dearly beloveds, isn’t about merely knowing stuff about Him, but personally
knowing Him who has given all of Himself to us. Knowing that He saved us is of
the utmost importance, but He also wants us to know/understand Him in a
personal relationship borne out of the intimacy of His actually living deep
inside of our spirits and is with us every moment. Jesus loves us so much He
cannot ever bear to be apart from us in any way. Nothing of us is hidden from.
Him He sees and knows more about us than we do of ourselves. How can we deny
giving all of ourselves to one who has given all of Himself and His life to us?
2Ti
2:15
Study to
shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth
not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
Holy brethren, as we go back in time
through the scriptures we see:
The Pharisees were essentially one of the
cults that we first hear about in the New Testament. We know that under the Law
only a descendent of the tribe of Levi could operate as a priest. Anyone not of
the Levitical priesthood attempting to operate as priests God commanded to be
put to death: Num
3:10.
By the time of Christ’s earthly ministry,
the Levitical priesthood was thoroughly corrupted. Anybody who could pay could
play, and we find this cult in the temple with their man -made doctrines paying
tithes and stealing widows’ houses, acting as priests unchallenged, except by
Lord Jesus: Mat
23:14. Jesus condemned them because they
corrupted the people and actually hindered people from getting into
heaven: Mat
23:13; Mat
23:15.
Some of the pharisees believed in Jesus,
and Paul having met the resurrected Christ. Jesus warns us about wolves in
sheep’s clothing it is not much different now. This is one of many reasons we
must study and live God’s word so that we will not be deceived.
Jhn
3:1
There was a man of the
Pharisees, named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews:
Jhn
3:2
The
same came to Jesus by night, and said unto
him, Rabbi, we know that thou art a
teacher come from God: for no
man can do these miracles that thou doest, except God be with him.
Brothers and sisters, Nicodemus was a
careful man, a fearful man obviously coming to Jesus by night to avoid
detection by his cult the Pharisees, who were throwing out any members caught
following Christ. Nicodemus’s wealth, and power was gained through his
membership as a Pharisee, and they had the power to take it all away: Jhn
12:42
Nicodemus acknowledges initially that
only the invisible God could give a man power to do the great miracles that
Jesus did. Jesus made no response to Nicodemus’ recognition of Him as a teacher
for Jesus is far more than any mere teacher, He is the Son of God, the Christ.
Most certainly, holy brethren, Nicodemus
initially clearly has an obvious, although unspoken agenda, in case Jesus is
the real Christ to secretly become a follower to gain eternal life in the world
to come and avoid persecution and the loss of his money and power as a member
of the pharisees in this present evil world.
Lord Jesus immediately tests out
Nicodemus’s claims of or acknowledgement of God being behind the miracles he
saw Jesus do.
Jhn
3:3
Jesus answered and said unto
him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a
man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of
God.
Jesus makes it clear that no man can know
God or enter into heaven through man made doctrines, rules, or ideologies which
are set up to further the goals of man- made institutions and/or organizations,
etc in this present evil world that God has set a termination day to utterly
destroy. There is only one way into eternal life, and it is through faith in
God alone, who opens the eyes of the believers, and grants them the power and
will to consciously follow Him out of obedience and love to please Him above all.
Jhn
3:4
Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a
man be born when he is old? can he enter the
second time into his mother's womb, and be born?
Nicodemus doesn’t get it. Yet Jesus
handles him with kid gloves and gives further teachings to help him understand
the spiritual nature of salvation.
Jhn
3:5
Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I
say unto thee, Except a man be
born of water and of the Spirit, he
cannot enter into the kingdom of God. Water here means the
word of God sent down with the Holy Ghost the Spirit of truth whom the believer
receives the moment he or she believes: Eph
5:26
that He might sanctify and cleanse her
with the washing of water by the word,
Verily, verily means: Amen absolutely
firm. Jesus declares this twice. There are absolutely no exceptions, no
alternatives, plan b’s, multiple choices, man- made doctrines, ideologies,
programs, men or creatures, etc through which people can be saved other than
through faith in God the Son Jesus Christ.
Water here has nothing to do with water
baptism an ordinance of the church done after salvation by the believers to
show their public identification as followers of Christ.
Jhn
3:6
That which is born of the
flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the
Spirit is spirit.
Saints (G40 hagios), no matter how that
dead adamic natural flesh is dressed up, painted, celebrated, lauded as having
the means through fleshly ceremonies, rules, regulations, doctrines, etc to be
able to make people holy and allow them to enter heaven it is never going to
happen, and all who die unrepentant shall be cast into hell.
Again, everyone claiming to be born
through the works of mere men have been born dead. Only those taking God at His
word are born through the Spirit - alive forevermore and have the right to
enter the kingdom of God.
Lord Jesus is not done; He really wants
Nicodemus to understand where he needs to be to make his salvation certain.
Jhn
3:7
Marvel not that I
said unto thee, Ye must be born again.
After this Jesus still cautions- actually
warns Nicodemus that he has no reason to be puzzled at this point-new birth is
only attained freely through faith not by any works.
Jhn
14:24
He
that loveth me not keepeth not my sayings: and the
word which ye hear is not mine, but the
Father's which sent me.
Brothers and sisters, thanks be to God
that He left us His word that: Jer
31:34
And they shall teach no more every
man his neighbour, and every man his
brother, saying, Know the LORD: for they shall all know me, from the
least of them unto the greatest of them, saith the
LORD: for I will forgive their iniquity, and I will
remember their sin no more.
We know, holy brothers and sisters, that herein
is the absolute eternal truth and the heart of the gospel of the New Covenant, God
forgives the believers of all
sins forever and
remembers them no more,
because Jesus God the Son of God paid in His atonement for all of our sins past, present, and future forever.
Some in error/misinterpret teach John 1:9
that we have to keep confessing our sins
to stay saved, but John was referencing Rom 10:7-11. John
stood firmly on the New Covenant for he declared absolutely in:
1Jo 5:18
We
know that whosoever is
born of God sinneth not; but he that is
begotten of God keepeth himself, and that wicked
one toucheth him not.
We are forever forgiven in Jesus who washes us in His
sinless blood and baptizes us with the Holy Ghost and makes us new creations in
Him with new spirits, hearts, and a mind likened to His: Mar 1:8; 1Co 2:16.
Upon salvation, Jesus, God the Father,
and the Holy Ghost indwells the believers forever: Jde 1:24; 1Pe 1:5; Rom 8:35-39.
There is not one verse in scripture that
challenges the words eternal, forever, everlasting life granted to all
believers as being of a temporary nature. In every verse these words are
presented as absolute, unchanging, permanent.
The question we must ask, dearly
beloveds, is why did God send Jesus at this time? Some might have thought the
time to send Jesus should have been long before this, before the flood, before the
nation was worshipping devils and sacrificing their children to their molten
idols.
Nevertheless, dearly beloveds, whether
the people were ready or not the fullness of time had come: Gal 4:1-7.
Looking at this from God’s perspective
within the panorama of the scriptures we see, comprehend His utter necessity to
close out the Levitical priesthood at this time, which had thoroughly broken
the Mosaic covenant, corrupted itself, defiled the temple, perverted the Law to
take advantage of the people, no longer keeping/defending the Law:
Deu 27:26
Cursed be he
that confirmeth not all the words of this
law to do them. And all the people shall say, Amen.
They represented solely the interests and
the kingdom of men, no longer that of God. The Levites had become cursed heretics,
and the nation had broken the Mosaic Covenant for the last time, and there was
no more fixing of it. God was done with it-out with the Old in with the New.
The Pharisees, Sadducees etc. had done a
good job of convincing, the mostly uneducated common people, that they alone
were experts/spiritual elites through their humanistic knowledge attained in
their schools.
They each held themselves superior to all
other teachers and claimed that they alone were the only acceptable teachers
regarding the Covenants, Abrahamic/Messianic prophecies, when actually they
along with the Levitical priesthood were all cursed covenant breaking heretics
who cherry picked and perverted God’s word.
The people in Jesus’ hometown rejected His
teachings because He was not endorsed by these so-called experts/spiritual
elites, and merely the son of the carpenter. How could He be the Christ? Mar 6:2-6.
Under the
Levitical priesthood we see for the first time the rise of ecumenism, for they
had not defended the Law. Instead, they endorsed and allowed various diverse sects
or cults to fully operate within the temple defiling it with their blasphemous/corrupt
brand of religion which perverted the Law, and allowed them to teach and make
disciples as long as they paid tithes:
Num 3:10
And
thou shalt appoint Aaron and his sons, and they shall wait
on their priest's office: and the stranger that cometh nigh shall
be put to death.
Monstrous
hypocrites, the Levites allowed buying and selling in the temple on the sabbath
which is a death penalty under the Law but wanted to put Jesus to death for
lawfully healing a man on the sabbath.
Exo 31:15
Six days may
work be done; but in the seventh is the
sabbath of rest, holy to the LORD: whosoever doeth any work in
the sabbath day, he shall surely be put to death.
Under the Levites we find for the first time:
THE
RISE OF ATHEISM IN ISRAEL
Act 23:8
For the Sadducees say that
there
is no resurrection, neither angel, nor spirit...
This
sect basically denied the existence of God who is Spirit and that there is no
life after death, nor any spirit realm, holding that men live and die and there
is nothing after death. Interestingly their sect or cult was bound together
based on genetics and their atheistic doctrines.
Another
nail in the Levitical coffin is that they were not feeding the sheep, but feeding off of
them, beating them and burdening the sheep with the harsh letter of the Law and
not the spirit.
Brothers
and sisters, we envision two men, one of them the Son of God Jesus Christ,
talking late in the quiet peace of the night, nothing about this might appear
unusual or of any particular significance. However, those with spiritual eyes
would see worlds colliding- the outbreak of spiritual warfare the combined world
of the devil and the kingdom of men against the kingdom of God, united to stop
the Christ and His kingdom from ever coming into existence.
When men
turn their backs on God there is no level of evil that they will not sink to. We
find the end of the Levitical Priesthood certified when they conspired with
others to justify the murder of the very Christ so that they could retain their earthly rule.
However,
these enemies had not reckoned on the power of Lord Jesus Christ who would
fight all the enemies of God, even death itself and take the battle to defeat
the devil and his demonic hosts in hell, set the captives free, and return to
life forever with all power and authority in heaven and on earth to bring salvation
to all who believe and obey Him.
Brothers
and sisters, let us patiently sit together at our Lord’s table with the
understanding of the fullness of the time, and the cataclysmic event that would
take place in the atonement of Christ that would change time itself and set in
motion the last days, and set the clock for the end of time itself, the
judgment, and God’s eternal new heaven and earth to come.
God has not gone radio silent; He forever
speaks from His word. Nor has He hired anyone to replace God the Son Jesus
Christ as His mouthpiece. We are commanded to stay on message, the same as our
Lord Jesus did as our supreme example in everything.
Jesus had handled Nicodemus with kid
gloves, now He takes His kid gloves off.
Jhn
3:10
Jesus answered and said unto
him, Art thou a master of
Israel, and knowest not these things?
Jesus knew the cult of the Pharisees took
pride in giving themselves titles like master, and doctor of the Law, promoting the lie that they were superior above all men in their knowledge of the Old Testament,
the Law of Moses, the Abrahamic Covenant/Messianic prophecies, and the
resurrection: In fact, Jesus knew the
Pharisees went to question John the Baptist to see if he was the Christ: Jhn
1:24
And they which were
sent were of the Pharisees.
Jesus knew Nicodemus was lying in his
claims not to understand the absolute spiritual realities of the Messiah, and
in what manner entrance can be gained into His kingdom. Lord Jesus the Son of
God, from whom no one and nothing can be hidden searches the reigns of the
heart, and the true intents and purposes of the mind has met Nicodemus where he
is and found cowardly liar, but that I not all he is.
We know we can always sit at the Lord’s
table to eat and drink into Him, our spiritual food for the whole church often,
His door is never closed at any time of the day or night. He kept it open for
Nicodemus, and we know He most assuredly will always keep it open for us too.
We recall
that Nicodemus falsely claims not to understand Jesus’ teachings on spiritual
matters, and now Jesus responds:
Jhn
3:11
Verily, verily, I say unto
thee, We speak that we do
know, and testify that we have seen; and ye
receive not our witness.
Jhn
3:12
If I have told you earthly
things, and ye believe not, how shall ye
believe, if I tell you of heavenly things?
Jesus tells Nicodemus that as the Son of
God, God the Father is His witness and in His omniscience with the Father the
whole of all matters of time are seen with absolute certainty, without error
from the beginning to the end.
Jesus had taken His kid gloves off and
frankly tells Nicodemus that he will not
receive the truth although it comes directly from God, because he chose not to
believe the truth.
