Wake up
WAKE UP
It is my opinion that many Christians today, have fallen asleep. Or perhaps are not really clear about just what it is to be alive in Christ.
Are you a Christian? Are you living out your life serving Christ and others? Or are you simply claiming the gift God gave you and living life as a secularist? Do you truly want to experience how glorious the Lord is? Our gracious God is completely capable of raining down blessings on your life, but if your not truly living for him, he is not willing to do it for you.
To many Christians today go to church 3-4 times a month, run out the door as soon as the service ends and claim to be living a life, which glorifies God. Can you truly justify that an hour and a half a week is all of your time the God of all creation deserves? If you live out your life as a six-day a week secularist hiding your faith behind a silent shroud of secrecy, that is wrong. Maybe you believe God doesn’t have enough love to go around. That is wrong. Maybe you believe that heaven would be a much more joyous place with a one on one relationship with God. That is wrong.
Matt. 28:18-20- Then Jesus came to them and said. "All authority in heaven and earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age."
So I guess we can be assured, if you claim faith in him as your savior, he is with you. Are you truly with him? How is your walk going? When you approach the gates of heaven, will Jesus say welcome, or will he say I never knew you?
Do you run out the doors of church at the end of service, then not think about Jesus till the next week?
Do you fall asleep during the service? Are you content to claim Jesus, but not claim souls for him? If any of these questions describes you, then I pity you and I pray for you, because you surely are not walking with the Lord. Wake up church. Now more than ever we must be effective disciples. We must be willing to share Jesus, to glorify and praise him.
John 8:26 "I have much to say in judgment of you, but he who sent me is reliable, and what I have heard from him I tell the world."
Jesus sent me, and if you claim salvation by the blood of Christ, he sent you also. Wake up church. Tell
The world what you have heard. Tell the world what you believe. Faith without action is empty. If your faith
doesn’t call you to action, then you are still blind, still lost and still searching for Jesus. My advice would be to stop where you are. He is not lost, you are. Being the Good Shepherd that he is, he will find you.
John 10:23 The man who enters by the gate is the shepherd of his sheep. The watchman opens the gate for him, and the sheep listen to his voice. He calls his own sheep by name and leads them out.
Has Jesus called your name? Then listen and follow him. Reach out and share your faith in the world. Don’t sleep through the service of life.
Wake up church. Jesus is calling.
In Christ, with Christ and for Christ

1 Peter3:15 But in your hearts set apart Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to anyone who asks you to give reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect. (NIV)
Be prepared to answer questions. Be prepared to share your faith. Be prepared to lead others in the direction of the Lord Jesus Christ, whom should always be in our hearts and on our minds
May the Lord be your guide on this journey through life
