These are my thoughts.
We need to obey His commands and He will have us move in
faith, not have us stand still. 2 Peter 2:4-7King James Version (KJV) 4 For if God spared not the angels that sinned, but cast them down to hell, and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved unto judgment; 5 And spared not the old world, but saved Noah the eighth person, a preacher of righteousness, bringing in the flood upon the world of the ungodly; 6 And turning the cities of Sodom and Gomorrha into ashes condemned them with an overthrow, making them an ensample unto those that after should live ungodly; 7 And delivered just Lot, vexed with the filthy conversation of the wicked:
2 Peter 2:4-721st Century King James Version (KJ21) 4 For if God spared not the angels who sinned, but cast them down to hell and delivered them into chains of darkness to be reserved unto judgment; 5 and spared not the old world, but saved Noah, the eighth person, a preacher of righteousness, bringing in the Flood upon the world of the ungodly; 6 and, turning the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah into ashes, condemned them to be overthrown, making them an example unto those who thereafter should live ungodly; 7 and if He delivered righteous Lot, vexed with the filthy conduct of the wicked 21st Century King James Version (KJ21) Copyright © 1994 by Deuel Enterprises, Inc. These are my thoughts, please share yours. 4 God has spared them for judgment, those who reject Christ
as Lord will also be spared until judgment but when judgment comes they are
doomed to the lake of fire. The idea of being bound in darkness is scary enough
but to only God as a judge who condemns us is scary. 5 Noah was 8 descendents from Adam, Peter is referring to
this. We learn here something Genesis did not cover and that was that Noah
preached. He very well might of preached about the coming flood, the need to
turn to God by faith, how God will protect him because he had faith and
devotion to God. Noah may have very well known about the idea of grace. 6 There may have been very cities as corrupt as the cities
of Sodom and Gomorrah. They did what ever they wanted and
had no sense of morality. There are some people like this today but not even
ten were unlike this in the city of Sodom.
If we do not turn to God our fate is worst than the fate of the city of Sodom and Gomorrah.
7 He did not allow the righteous to perish with the just. He
will not allow us to have the same fate as those who do not have righteousness,
we gain our by receiving Jesus. Lot was
disgusted by the actions of the city yet remained there. God may have destroyed
the city at that time to bring Lot out of Sodom.
We need to be brought out this world by Christ, out of our sins and be brought
to something better, His grace. Keep our eyes on Jesus.

Jesus has the power. 2 Peter 2:1-3King James Version (KJV) 2 But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction. 2 And many shall follow their pernicious ways; by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of. 3 And through covetousness shall they with feigned words make merchandise of you: whose judgment now of a long time lingereth not, and their damnation slumbereth not.

These are my thoughts, please share yours. 1 There will always remain false teachers. They teach out of
self gain and not gain of God. They preach their message and not God’s message
for them. They lead others away from God because there message is not of God so
it does not draw us close to God. 2 Reason is often something that lead us away from the truth
because often times these false teachers will reason the scriptures. We need to
stay strong in the scriptures and only listen to teachers who teach the truth
of the word, there is a difference between it being a different doctrine and
being heresy. The best doctrines are supported by scripture; heresies bend or
even break scripture. 3 They often times are lead by the money or fame because
giving another message then God’s means they are not lead by Him. They will
suffer judgment for their false teachings and for those they had lead away from
the Lord. This also the danger of being a teacher, we become responsible what
they hear when we teach but if we teach God’s word this should never be a
problem. Keep our eyes on Jesus.

Mark 2:9; 2 Peter 1:19-21
KJV 9 Whether is it easier to say to the sick of the palsy, Thy sins be forgiven thee; or to say, Arise, and take up thy bed, and walk? Mark 2:9GOD’S WORD Translation (GW)9 Is it easier to say to this paralyzed man, ‘Your sins are forgiven,’ or to say, ‘Get up, pick up your cot, and walk’? Jesus has the power. 2 Peter 1:19-21King James Version (KJV) 19 We have also a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts: 20 Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation. 21 For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost. 2 Peter 1:19-2121st Century King James Version (KJ21) 19 We have also a more sure word of prophecy, unto which ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn and the day star arise in your hearts, 20 knowing this first: that no prophecy of the Scripture is of any private interpretation. 21 For the prophecy came not in olden times by the will of man, but holy men of God spoke as they were moved by the Holy Ghost. 21st Century King James Version (KJ21) Copyright © 1994 by Deuel Enterprises, Inc. These are my thoughts, please share yours. 19 The word of God is something we as believers accept even
if it does not get fulfilled in our life time. We should keep the word of God
the scripture close to our hearts this way we know what God wants from us so we
can serve Him to the ability He has given us. The word of God gives us what we
need; this does not mean it gives us what we want. 20 There are no scripture that just applies to one a group
of people it applies to all. This does not mean we may get something out of
scripture, personally conviction to do something that someone else may not, it
means that all scripture is given for everyone to live by those who have faith
will be the only ones that do though. 21 This is why scripture is still relevant today and still
moves us today. Scripture is living because it was breathed by the only true
Living God. Keep our eyes on Jesus.

Mark 2:8King James Version (KJV)8 And immediately when Jesus perceived in his spirit that they so reasoned within themselves, he said unto them, Why reason ye these things in your hearts? Mark 2:8GOD’S WORD Translation (GW) 8 At once, Jesus knew inwardly what they were thinking. He asked them, “Why do you have these thoughts? GOD’S WORD Translation (GW) Copyright © 1995 by God's Word to the Nations. Used by permission of Baker Publishing Group These are my thoughts. Jesus knows when we think evil love thoughts but He loves us
still, we need to accept Him as Lord so He can change our thoughts. 2 Peter 1:16-18King James Version (KJV) 16 For we have not followed cunningly devised fables, when we made known unto you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but were eyewitnesses of his majesty. 17 For he received from God the Father honour and glory, when there came such a voice to him from the excellent glory, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased. 18 And this voice which came from heaven we heard, when we were with him in the holy mount.

tales about a man they had never seen or someone of myth but they wrote first
hand what they had happen and by the Spirit were given the words to write the scripture.
We need to stand of the Truth because if we do not stand for something we will
fall for anything. 17 Peter here is speaking of Jesus. Peter is referring to
Matt 3:17. We are given honor and glory by the Father as well but we need to go
to Christ so we can be given it. We can thru Christ become sons of the Father. 18 Peter here is referring to Matt 17:5. This is when they
saw Moses and Elijah speaking to Jesus. God had confirmed who Jesus was to them
and by Him working in us and thru us He will confirm to us too by faith. If do
not have faith we will not see what He is doing. Keep our eyes on Jesus.

Mark 2:7King James Version (KJV)7 Why doth this man thus speak blasphemies? who can forgive sins but God only?
Mark 2:7GOD’S WORD Translation (GW) 7 “Why does he talk this way? He’s dishonoring God. Who besides God can forgive sins?” GOD’S WORD Translation (GW) Copyright © 1995 by God's Word to the Nations. Used by permission of Baker Publishing Group These are my thoughts.
Only God can forgive sins but Jesus is God manifested as a
man. 2 Peter 1:12-15King James Version (KJV) 12 Wherefore I will not be negligent to put you always in remembrance of these things, though ye know them, and be established in the present truth. 13 Yea, I think it meet, as long as I am in this tabernacle, to stir you up by putting you in remembrance; 14 Knowing that shortly I must put off this my tabernacle, even as our Lord Jesus Christ hath shewed me. 15 Moreover I will endeavour that ye may be able after my decease to have these things always in remembrance. 2 Peter 1:12-1521st Century King James Version (KJ21) 12 Therefore I will not be negligent to put you always in remembrance of these things, though ye know them and are strengthened in the present truth. 13 Yea, I think it meet, as long as I am in this tabernacle, to stir you up by putting you in remembrance, 14 knowing that shortly I must put off this my tabernacle, even as our Lord Jesus Christ hath shown me. 15 Moreover I will endeavor that you may be able after my decease to have these things always in remembrance. 21st Century King James Version (KJ21) Copyright © 1994 by Deuel Enterprises, Inc. These are my thoughts, please share yours. 12 It is important for us to remember that we are His and
who He is. The world and Satan wants us to doubt our faith so we do not grow in
faith or do works by faith because of our doubt. Truth is established and is
the Word of God and scripture. 13 There are things we would like to o before we die but we
have to understand we can only do these things if the lord wills us. Paul
understood this when he wants to visit the church at Rome. Peter here understands that not all
things he wants to do are the things the Lord wills him to do. There are some
of us who are called to keep the church in line by sharing the word, Peter was
called to do this and knew it was his calling until the Lord called him home.
Our callings may change as God leads us to other areas or they may not but we
never retire on earth from serving God. 14 We as believers need to be aware that we will die but not
miss what the Lord has for us now because we are focused solely on getting to
heaven. To many times we can focus too much on where we will end up and lose
focus on where He wants us. 15 We should leave what the Lord calls us to do with having
someone take it up not have a church fall apart because of leaving if we have
followed Him in service the church will be good as long as they have learned
from us to follow God. We should train up the next generation on how to be
leaders. Keep our eyes on Jesus.
