    Mark 6:26; Job 15:25-27

Mark 6:26 King James Version (KJV) 26 And the king was exceeding sorry; yet for his oath's sake, and for their sakes which sat with him, he would not reject her. Mark 6:26 Contemporary English Version (CEV) 26 The king was very sorry for what he had said. But he did not want to break the promise he had made in front of his guests. Contemporary English Version (CEV) Copyright © 1995 by American Bible Society These are my thoughts. We may have regrets but we need to live a honest life for the Lord. Job 15:25-27 King James Version (KJV) 25 For he stretcheth out his hand against God, and strengtheneth himself against the Almighty. 26 He runneth upon him, even on his neck, upon the thick bosses of his bucklers: 27 Because he covereth his face with his fatness, and maketh collops of fat on his flanks. Job 15:25-27 Good News Translation (GNT) 25 That is the fate of those who shake their fists at God and defy the Almighty. 26-27 They are proud and rebellious; they stubbornly hold up their shields and rush to fight against God. Good News Translation (GNT) Copyright © 1992 by American Bible Society These are my thoughts, please share yours. 25 The fate of those who shake their fists at God is to be judged and sent to hell by God, we instead need to see how much of a sinner we are and how holy a Lord He is and come to the grace of Jesus and receive His love and fellowship with Him. 26-27 We are to be humble instead of proud. We are to be devoted followers instead of being rebellious. We should love God and not fight Him.

    Phil 1:10; Heb 1:8-9

Philippians 1:10 King James Version (KJV)

10 That ye may approve things that are excellent; that ye may be sincere and without offence till the day of Christ.

    These are my thoughts.

We need to let His way guide us to right choices that way we can live pure as He wills us to.

Hebrews 1:8-9 King James Version (KJV)

But unto the Son he saith, Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever: a sceptre of righteousness is the sceptre of thy kingdom.

Thou hast loved righteousness, and hated iniquity; therefore God, even thy God, hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness above thy fellows.

Hebrews 1:8-9 New Matthew Bible (NMB)

But to the Son he says: O God, your seat shall be for ever and ever. The sceptre of your kingdom is a right sceptre. You have loved righteousness and hated iniquity; therefore God, who is your God, has anointed you with the oil of gladness above your fellows.

8 Jesus is the reigning King and will never loose His throne and one day He will bring His reign here to earth and be both King in heaven and on earth, we as the church know Him as our King now but many reject Him.

9 God is all righteous, we know right by knowing Him. We are anointed by the Holy Spirit when we come to faith. Jesus died so we can be right before God because without His death we couldn’t.

Mark 6:25 King James Version (KJV)

25 And she came in straightway with haste unto the king, and asked, saying, I will that thou give me by and by in a charger the head of John the Baptist.

Mark 6:25 Contemporary English Version (CEV)

25 The girl hurried back and told Herod, “Right now on a platter I want the head of John the Baptist!”

This was John’s fate. We don’t need to be some impulsive because sin often is but we always need to take time seeking God and His will as believers.

    Job 15:23-24

KJV 23 He wandereth abroad for bread, saying, Where is it? he knoweth that the day of darkness is ready at his hand. 24 Trouble and anguish shall make him afraid; they shall prevail against him, as a king ready to the battle.

    MKJV 23 He wanders for bread, saying, Where is it? He knows that the day of darkness is ready at hand. 24 Trouble and pain shall terrify him; they shall overpower him, as a king ready for the battle;

23 This meant this man was seeking food but it is interesting because latter times Jesus refers to bread as God’s word, which are we more filled with? Which was this man seeking more? Which do we seek more? The world is dark without the word of God. Food doesn’t bring light but the Word brings out light.

24 Trouble and pain are a normal part of life, it is by leaning on God and His Word that we can be brought thru these troubles of life. We have a King that conqueror any struggle life could bring, on the cross.
