STUDIES
IN HEBREWS
CHAPTER
13 VS 2- 4
Brothers
and sisters, let us praise, bless, thank and pour out fervent love offerings to
our Great God for His love and mercy endures forever.
Much
love and peace to you, holy brethren. I thank God for you, and for your
fellowship and patience with me in this study on the Book of Hebrews. Let us go
to the Lord’s table to eat and drink heartily into Him in the presence of God
our Father, the Holy Ghost standing by to help our understanding and lead us
into all truth. Let us dine fully on the Word, remembering that take outs to
share with others are highly approved by God.
Paul’s last letter to these Hebrew believers is a posttest for all believers
both Jew and gentile. Paul in few words addresses our responsibilities as the
body of Christ. However, we have the whole of scripture to fully expand it as he Reminds us that you, me, us are brothers and sisters, a holy
family of priests, under our Saviour and High Priest Lord Jesus; through whom
God our Father has ordained us all to be His ministers/messengers of the New
Covenant and ambassadors of Christ.
As
the body of Christ, we are to, without partiality, lovingly care for all of our brothers and
sisters generally, and specifically to reach out and help any of our family in
times of adversity, bonds, or persecutions by prayer and practical help. Paul,
amongst others noted the care he received from the church at various times.
We
know from God's Word what the church- the body of Christ is, how it is to walk,
talk, and function in all of its parts as a whole, as well as how God forbids
the ways that it must never function in.
Dearly beloveds, we know from the whole of scripture that the concept of the New
Covenant church as a bunch of strangers that meet on a Sunday in a building to
sit in pews sing a song hear a sermon, and afterwards go on their way
separately with no further thought/care for one another until the next Sunday, does not compute in any manner as the New
Testament family of God the body of Christ within the Standard of the New
Covenant.
Let
none of us mistakenly think that we are just reading stuff here in print by
someone. We have Christ's spiritual DNA; therefore, God has connected us in one
another in Him spiritually, because we are living spirits-spiritual people, in physical
bodies on earth.
We
are always in God’s presence, with our Holy Ghost guarding and guiding us with
Jesus feeding us from within in our minds, hearts, spirits, teaching,
encouraging, strengthening us in His love and truth, through His word. We are to live God's word patiently, consciously by practicing it consistently over time until it becomes as natural as breathing, a way of life out of love and trust in Him.
God
teaches/empowers you, me, us that the guiding/guarding officers of the church
with the whole body of Christ, without partiality, are not to neglect, but to keep in remembrance that we are to fervently love and care for one
another within and beyond the local church:
1Ti 5:21. See
Jas 2.
Above all things we keep in remembrance how greatly Jesus loves us how deeply He feels compassion for us all, in that He left us this commandment: John 13:34 A new commandment I give unto you, that ye love one another, as I have loved you, that ye also love one another. 35 By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.
1 John 3:10 In this the children of God are manifest, and the children of the devil: whosoever doeth not righteousness is not of God, neither he that loveth not his brother.
Love for God and love for His people and all men proves that we are of God not only to ourselves but to the whole world. The eternal truth is indestructible. Love never fails. Now we know that faith, hope and charity are eternal, the greatest of these is charity: 1 Cor. 13 : 1-13.
Heb 13:4 - Marriage is honourable in all, and the
bed undefiled: but whoremongers and adulterers God will
judge.
Eph 5:5; 1Co 6:9-11.
As
it was in days of old, holy people, we know that even now in modern times and
culture Marriage is no less highly corrupted, and perverted, where anything
goes supposedly only among consenting adults.
However,
God commands us without exception to see and do things from His eternal world
view- to live holy in all our ways of living: 1Pe 1:15 - But as he
which hath called you is
holy, so be ye holy in all manner of
conversation;
1Pe 1:16 - Because it
is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy.
Holy:
hagios, sacred (physically, pure, morally blameless or ceremonially, consecrated):—(most) holy (one,
thing), saint.
Sexual
relationships are forbidden outside of marriage.
God
commands marriage to be exclusively between one man and one woman for life,
although the Bible clearly teaches that there is just cause for divorce,
reconciliation after divorce, and remarriage under certain circumstances.
God
gives the illustration of the model for marriage: Eph 5:25 - Husbands, love your wives, even
as Christ also loved the
church, and gave himself for it; See this whole
chapter.
Submission
does not mean that the husband dominates the wife, for there is equity in
marriage: 1Co
7:4 - The wife hath not power of her
own body, but the
husband: and likewise also the
husband hath not power of his own body, but the
wife.
SINGLE
MEN AND WOMEN CAN CHOOSE NOT TO MARRY TO DEDICATE THEMSELVES TO SERVE THE LORD
No
Christian can be compelled to marry or not marry, this is voluntary- left up to
the individual and accepted with God and must be accepted with His church as
well: 1Ti 4:1-3
1Co 7:32 - But I
would have you without carefulness. He that is unmarried careth for the
things that belong to the Lord, how he may please the Lord:
1Co 7:33 - But he
that is married careth for the things that are of the
world, how he may please his wife.
1Co 7:34 - There is difference also between a
wife and a virgin. The
unmarried woman careth for the things of the Lord, that she may
be holy both in body and in spirit: but she
that is married careth for the things of the
world, how she may please her husband. Mt. 5:28; Ro. 13:9; Gal. 5:19.
The
Bible gives us marriage as an illustration that Christ’s atonement freed us
from being married or bound to the Law, in that the believer is baptized into
His death, and raised an entirely new spiritual creature. By being raised from
death a new creature the believer is free and totally disconnected forever from
the law to be legally joined forever to Christ in the newness
of eternal life. Be wary of apostates who lie and slyly pervert scripture to overthrow the faith of the gullible by changing the definition of the words eternal, forever, everlasting to mean they are temporary instead of what God has decreed these words to truthfully mean which is permanent and unchanging forever.
Christ
is not a bigamist. God forbids bigamy. Therefore; there is only going to be one bride in heaven, His wife-the mother of us all, New Jerusalem: Gal 4:26; Rev 21:9.
Again, marriage
between human beings is given in scripture and on earth by God as an
illustration to help finite human beings understand that the reality and nature of
our relationship with Christ is so profound in His undying love that the believers become one with Him, inseparable from Him.
The Bible illustrates with many examples throughout both the Old Testament and the New Testament spiritual faithlessness to God being like the commission of adultery within the marital dyad, which is absolutely forbidden: James 4: 4; Eze 16:28; Jer. 5:7.
Christ teaches us: Mat 22:30 - For in the
resurrection they
neither marry, nor are given in
marriage, but are as the angels of
God in heaven. (Mar 12:25).
Lord
Jesus is our Elder Brother, as well as our Saviour, our God the Son, High
Priest, Mediator. Through faith in Him we are accepted and become the children
of God: Jhn
20:17; Rom
8:29 - For whom he did
foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to
the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.
Nowhere
in scripture is the body of Christ referred to as the bride of Christ. The
bride of Christ, again, refers to His one and only Bride referenced clearly in the book
of Revelation. Here again scriptures always interprets scriptures within the whole context of scriptures without error: Mt 9:15 And Jesus said unto them, Can the children of the bridechamber mourn, as long as the bridegroom is with them? but the days will come when the bridegroom shall be taken from them, and then they shall fast in those days. He clearly references His people as the children, never the bride.
Let's look at this verse Luke 20:35 But they which shall be accounted worthy to obtain that world, and the resurrection from the dead, neither marry nor are given in marriage. Jesus loves His people so much that He will not marry until He brings ALL of His people home to attend and celebrate His marriage in heaven. We will have an active part in dressing His bride: Rev 19:8.
Love and truth always,

13 VS 2
WARNINGS ABOUT FALSE PROPHETS
ETERNAL SALVATION AND ETERNAL LIFE ARE
PERMANENT, ANYONE WHO DELIBERATELY/WILLFULLY TEACHES THAT ETERNAL SALVATION AND
ETERNAL LIFE ARE CONDITIONAL AND CAN BE LOST IS A FALSE PROPHET/TEACHER.
Brothers
and sisters, this is never addressing the ignorant or those who have a faulty
understanding of salvation, because we know the ignorant and those with a
faulty understanding of salvation will gladly receive the truth/correction, but
the wicked never will.
https://www.youtube.com/@All2JC2275 for read along with audio Bible KJV various topics, worship music from various countries.
Lord Jesus warns: Mat 7:15 - Beware of false
prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but
inwardly they
are ravening wolves.
Mat 7:16 - Ye shall
know them by their fruits. Do men
gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles?
Mat 7:17 - Even
so every good tree bringeth
forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth
forth evil fruit.
Mat 7:18 - A
good tree cannot bring
forth evil fruit, neither can a
corrupt tree bring forth good fruit.
Mat 7:19 - Every tree that
bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn
down, and cast into the fire.
Mat 7:20 - Wherefore by their fruits ye
shall know them.
The false prophet/teacher was never a
true Christian for the word of God also teaches us: 2Pe 2:22 - But it
is happened unto them according to the
true proverb, The dog is turned to his
own vomit again; and the sow that was
washed to her wallowing in
the mire.
Act 20:29 - For I know this, that after my departing shall
grievous wolves enter
in among you, not sparing the flock. 30 Also of your own selves shall men arise, speaking perverse
things, to draw away disciples after themselves
THE APOSTATES DELIBERATELY KILL THEIR
OWN CONSCIENCE
The
Bible further describes the false prophets:
1Ti 4:1Now the Spirit speaketh
expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving
heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils;
1Ti 4:2 speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared
with a hot iron;
Seared:
an intentional self-cauterization, deadening/killing specifically the
conscience to render it unsensitive, numb, removing
all moral restraints thusly freeing it entirely from any feelings of guilt,
remorse, or shame in rabidly perverting the scriptures in violation of God’s
will. There is never anymore so much as a twinge of repentance as they take
evil delight in blaspheming God and His people.
Holy
people, God is not being unkind when He calls impenitent apostates brute
beasts, ravening wolves, dogs, for he wants us to know what we are dealing with;
for such persons having willfully destroyed their own natural moral conscience no
longer conform to any standard of morality, no
longer have any boundaries, and have no level of evil too low for them to sink to in word or deed: Eph 5:11 - And have no fellowship with
the unfruitful works of
darkness, but rather reprove them.
2Pe 2:1 - But there
were false prophets also among the people, even as there
shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring
in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that
bought them, and bring upon
themselves swift destruction.
Privily:
to introduce or bring in secretly or craftily to lead aside or astray.
1Jo 4:1 - Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the
spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are
gone out into the world.
God
commands, dearly beloveds, that we are not to be gullible, but to study and
know the word of God by which we can test every teaching by the word of God. We
know that scriptures interpret scriptures without error within the whole
context of scriptures. We know from God’s word that:
2Jo 1:9 Whosoever
abideth not in the doctrine of
Christ, hath not God. He that abideth in the
doctrine of Christ, he hath both the
Father and the Son.10 If there
come any unto you, and bring not this doctrine, receive him not into your house, neither bid him God
speed: 11 For he that
biddeth him God speed is partaker of
his evil deeds.
The
false teacher is a liar who willfully/unrepentantly twists/perverts scriptures,
and/or some of all the warning verses of scriptures such as Mat 24:12; Rev 3:5; Rev 3:11 to
blasphemously apply it to Christians to mean that Eternal Salvation and Eternal
Life are conditional and can be lost. They lie in vain seeking to overturn the
faith of many in the once for all eternal atonement of Jesus Christ whose power
saves and keeps forever all who believe in Him.
God
teaches us throughout the Bible and even in the world that His words eternal,
forever, everlasting, means absolute as without end, unchanging, permanent never
as conditional or temporary. Hereby anyone willfully claiming that God’s words
eternal, forever, everlasting are temporary or conditional is a liar whom God
commands us to avoid.
We
know the absolute truth, holy brethren, that God our Father clearly gives us
His absolute warnings never that we will be lost, but to teach us and give us
the unchanging understanding that His word is absolute, there are no
alternatives, plan bs, nor any exceptions to His divine will, that we should obey
Him and teach others to do so as well. We well know that God has established
the Standard and the boundaries within the New Covenant of Jesus Christ God the
Son of God that all believers shall live by, and through Him in steadfast faith
out of love for God, the brethren and all men.
We
have the doctrine of Christ who teaches us: Jhn 10:28 - And
I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out
of my hand.
JESUS IS EQUAL WITH GOD
We
know that when Jesus finished His earthly ministry, He returned to heaven in
full victory and power as
the God Man equal in power with God the Father and God the Holy Ghost as He had
been prior to His earthly ministry on earth.
However, in His
omniscience, omnipotence, and omnipresence, He indwells all believers with God
the Father, and God the Holy Ghost. God created time through His Son Jesus
Christ. God therefore is neither subject to time nor bound by time. At the
beginning of time, God caused it to move forward. After the atonement time is running
out for the time shall come when the Lion of Judah shall roar
upon the earth and time shall be no more, then God will deal with the devil and
the wicked, and in the end establish a new heaven and earth wherein only the
righteous shall dwell with Him in His Kingdom.
The
false teacher will lie and twist the scripture to blaspheme Lord Jesus as not equal
with God His Father. But we know the everlasting truth in His word that in His
earthly ministry when Jesus said His Father is greater than He, it was in the truth
that: Phl 2:6 - Who, being in the
form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God:
Phl 2:7 - But made himself of no
reputation, and took upon him the form of a
servant, and was made in the likeness of men:
Phl 2:8 - And being
found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the
death of the cross.
Phl 2:9 - Wherefore God also hath
highly exalted him, and given him a name which is
above every name:
Phl 2:10 - That at the name of Jesus every knee should
bow, of things in heaven, and things in
earth, and things under the earth;
Phl 2:11 - And that every tongue should
confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the
glory of God the Father.
God
our Father commands that Jesus Christ His Son receive equal worship with Himself and the Holy
Ghost, so much so
He
declares: Heb
1:8 - But unto the Son he saith, Thy throne, O God, is for ever and
ever: a sceptre of righteousness is the
sceptre of thy kingdom.
In
the book of Revelation, dearly beloveds, we find the Lamb being worshipped
equally in the presence of God our Father: Rev 5:13.
Brothers
and sisters, we know that the word of God interprets, proves, and confirms His word
by His word within the whole context of His word without error: 1Jo 3:9 Whosoever is
born of God doth not commit
sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he
cannot sin, because he is born of God.
TIMELINES
Job 7:1 - Is
there not an appointed time to man upon earth? are
not his days also like the days of an hireling?
We must constantly/consciously keep in
mind that God has given every human being their appointed time continuum on
earth. At the moment of faith, the believers sin nature is destroyed, and they all
are given a new holy nature; then Lord Jesus Christ goes through the believers appointed
time frame of life- of their past, present, and future, totally destroying
every sin leaving absolutely no record of them: Heb 8:12 - For I
will be merciful to
their unrighteousness, and their sins and their iniquities will
I remember no more.
The
Christian is a new creature inseparable from and made one in Christ and in whom
Jesus lives with God the Father, and God the Holy Ghost. The Christian is
forgiven because their SIN
NATURE the source of all sins itself has been destroyed through faith in
Christ, hence they all receive a new redeemed nature. For this cause God
declares: Heb 8:12 - For I will
be merciful to
their unrighteousness, and their sins and their iniquities will
I remember no more.
Gal
2:20 I am crucified with
Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life
which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved
me, and gave himself for me.
The
Christian does not choose to practice sin as a way of life, but over time
through the indwelling Spirit repents of wrong doing, choosing to be self-disciplined and to receive the loving
corrective discipline of God and the church when it is warranted, gaining self-
mastery over time out of love and trust that God’s way is the only right way
and the only right way is God’s way, within the Standard of Jesus Christ in the
boundaries of the New Covenant correctly interpreted.
Through
faith in Christ the believer receives power and everything necessary to be and
live holy lives pleasing to God. The Christian is backed up by the keeping
power of Almighty God who declares in His word: Jde 1:24 - Now unto
him that is able to keep you from falling, and to
present you faultless before the presence of
his glory with exceeding joy,
Every
believer is an overcomer: 1Jo 5:4 - For whatsoever is
born of God overcometh the
world: and this is the
victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.
1Jo 5:5 - Who is he
that overcometh the world, but he that
believeth that Jesus is the Son of God?
2Ti 4:8 - Henceforth there
is laid up for me a crown of
righteousness, which the Lord, the
righteous judge, shall
give me at that day: and not to
me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.
1Pe 1:5 - Who are kept by the power of
God through faith unto salvation ready to be
revealed in the last time.
Brothers
and sisters, thanks be to God our loving Father has given us Jesus Christ, God
the Son of God with power and has established Him forever as our Saviour, High
Priest, Mediator, Head of the church, and Author of the Everlasting New
Covenant, wherein we stand by faith in Him:
Jesus
humbled Himself, went to the cross and paid a high price to save us-His own life.
Out of His love and mercy He alone has given us salvation as an absolutely
entirely free gift, un -buyable, un-repayable, un-earnable, un-returnable, and
imperishable.
Much
love and peace to you saints (G40hagios) as we sit in the presence of God our
Father at the Lord’s table. The Holy Ghost is ever standing by to aid us in our
understanding as we patiently eat and drink to the full into Lord Jesus Christ
our spiritual food, who strengthens and grows us to maturity in Him.
Paul,
our beloved apostle, has vigorously relentlessly hammered and drilled the
comprehensive understanding of the New Covenant of Jesus Christ into the hearts
and minds of these Hebrew believers who at one time had let it slip, but turned
to gladly receive and keep it once Paul retaught it to them, and us too.
Let
us with patience
and the same relentless vigor in which we are taught, study, live it and share
it, not letting it slip but instead
allowing it to become as natural as breathing over time, by living in obedience
to God out of love and trust in Him- this is the essence and the very heart of faith.
This
last chapter written in short commands and encouragements shows that Paul is clearly
seeing these Hebrew believers as mature now and having a comprehensive
understanding of the fuller meaning of them within the whole of both the New
and the Old Testaments.
We
can see this as a post test for us too in whether or not or to what extent we have
gained a comprehensive understanding of the New Covenant within the framework of
the whole of scripture.
We
know, dearly beloveds, that not all learn at the same pace, but every believer
that receives sound teaching along with patient study and practice of the word
faithfully out of love and trust in God, over time will receive a comprehensive
understanding of it written in their hearts and minds through faith In Jesus
and the power of the Holy Ghost, directly and through other faithful teachers, and
brothers and sisters, this is one of the great promises of the New Covenant of
Jesus Christ: Heb
8:10- 11.
Heb 13:2 - Be not forgetful to
entertain strangers: for thereby some have
entertained angels unawares.
Forgetful:
neglecting, no longer caring for.
Entertain
strangers: love of strangers, hospitality.
Unawares:
to be hidden, to be hidden from one, secretly, unawares, without knowing.
I
think that Paul’s intent here also applies as a warning that we should not
become insular only desiring to be with our own little group or local body and
avoiding those outside of it who are brothers and sisters too.
We
know Paul is not saying that these Hebrew believers should put on a show or
throw a party for strangers in hopes of getting into contact with angels; but to
be ready to help the apostles, disciples traveling to preach the word, those
Christians scattered by persecution, and strangers in general that might need
their help. We know that some unknowingly helping strangers entertained angels
unawares in the Old Testament and some helping strangers in the New Testament may
have as well.
Brothers
and sisters, the Bible is clear, God commands that we leave the angels alone, don’t
set out an extra plate, buy angel pins, worship, pray to, seek after, or command
them to do some kind of work in our behalf or someone else’s. The angels are
under God’s control and used for His purposes alone: Heb 1:5 – 6.
By the grace of Lord Jesus, let us quickly turn to God our Father in prayer knowing He is always there, will always hear, help, and grant our petitions according to His Sovereign will. We can freely tell Him everything. Let us pour out our hearts to Him, knowing the Holy Ghost is with us to help us pray and Lord Jesus is our Advocate before the throne of God in heaven making intercession for us, calling us by name. We, therefore have no need to pray to any angel which God absolutely forbids.
We
know there are good angels, however, the Bible warns us of evil angels. God
forbids the occultic practice of seeking, consulting, or trafficking with any
angel whether good or evil: 2Co 11:14 - And no marvel; for Satan himself is
transformed into an angel of light. 1Co 10:20 -21;
1Ti 4:1.
The devil, (Rev 20:10), is a
defeated foe whom no Christian need fear but should be wary of him and his
tactics. We know that God empowers and instructs us on how to deal with him: 1Pe 5:8 -11: 1Pe 5:9 - Whom resist stedfast in
the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are
accomplished in your brethren that are in the world. See Eph 6:11. Brothers and sisters, it’s clear why God
commands us to be equipped in every way through learning and living the Bible.
Gal 1:8 - But though we, or an
angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto
you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed.
Love and truth forever, serola

WARNINGS ABOUT FALSE PROPHETS
Brothers and sisters, let us, the children of
God, His holy family of priests under our High Priest/Saviour/Mediator Jesus

thanks, praises and blessings continually, where Jesus is in the presence of
God our Father and God the Holy Ghost.

The
false teacher is a liar who willfully/unrepentantly twists/perverts scriptures,
and/or some of all the warning verses of scriptures such as Mat

to blasphemously apply it to Christians to mean that Eternal Salvation and

Him and teach others to do so as well. We well know that God has established
the Standard and the boundaries within the New Covenant of Jesus Christ God the
Son of God that all believers shall live by, and through Him in steadfast faith
out of love for God, the brethren and all men.
We
have the doctrine of Christ who teaches us: Jhn
10:28 - And I give unto them eternal life; and they
shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out
of my hand.
We
know that when Jesus finished His earthly ministry, He returned bodily to heaven in
full victory and power as the God Man equal in power with God the Father and
God the Holy Ghost as He had been prior to His earthly ministry on earth. However, in His omniscience, omnipotence, and omnipresence, He indwells all believers with God the Father, and God the Holy Ghost. God created time through His Son Jesus Christ. God therefore is neither subject to time nor bound by time. At the beginning of time, God caused it to move forward. After the atonement time is running out for the time shall come when the Lion of Judah shall roar upon the earth and time shall be no more, then God will deal with the devil and the wicked, and in the end establish a new heaven and earth wherein only the righteous shall dwell with Him in the Kingdom of God.
We
know that in His earthly ministry when Jesus said His Father is greater than He,
it was in the truth that: Phl
2:6 - Who, being in the
form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God:
Phl
2:7 - But made himself of no
reputation, and took upon him the form of a
servant, and was made in the likeness of men:
Phl
2:8 - And being
found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the
death of the cross.
Phl
2:9 - Wherefore God also hath
highly exalted him, and given him a name which is
above every name:
Phl
2:10 - That at the name of Jesus every knee should
bow, of things in heaven, and things in
earth, and things under the earth;
Phl
2:11 - And that every tongue should
confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the
glory of God the Father.
God
our Father commands that Jesus Christ His Son receive equal worship with Himself and the Holy
Ghost, so much so He declares: Heb
1:8 - But unto the Son he
saith, Thy throne, O God, is for ever and
ever: a sceptre of righteousness is the
sceptre of thy kingdom.
In
the book of Revelation, dearly beloveds, we find the Lamb being worshipped
equally in the presence of God our Father: Rev
5:13.
Brothers
and sisters, we know that the word of God interprets, proves, and confirms His word
by His word within the whole context of His word without error: 1Jo
3:9 Whosoever is
born of God doth not commit
sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he
cannot sin, because he is born of God.
The
Christian is a new creature inseparable from and made one in Christ and in whom
Jesus lives with God the Father, and God the Holy Ghost. The Christian is
forgiven because their SIN
NATURE the source of all sins itself has been destroyed through faith in
Christ, hence they all receive a new redeemed nature. For this cause God
declares: Heb 8:12 - For I will
be merciful to
their unrighteousness, and their sins and their iniquities will
I remember no more.
Gal
2:20
I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth
in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the
Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.
The Christian does not
choose to practice sin as a way of life, but over time through the indwelling
Spirit repents of wrong doing, choosing to
be self-disciplined, and to receive the loving corrective discipline of
God and the church when it is warranted, gains self- mastery over time out of
love and trust that God’s way is the only right way and the only right way is
God’s way, within the Standard of Jesus Christ in the boundaries of the New
Covenant correctly interpreted.
Through faith in Christ the
believer receives power and everything necessary to be and live holy lives
pleasing to God. The Christian is backed up by the keeping power of Almighty
God who declares in His word: Jde
1:24 - Now unto
him that is able to keep you from falling, and to
present you faultless before the presence of
his glory with exceeding joy,
Every
believer is an overcomer: 1Jo
5:4 - For whatsoever is
born of God overcometh the
world: and this is the
victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.
1Jo
5:5 - Who is he
that overcometh the world, but he that
believeth that Jesus is the Son of God?
2Ti
4:8 - Henceforth there
is laid up for me a crown of
righteousness, which the Lord, the
righteous judge, shall
give me at that day: and not to
me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.
1Pe
1:5 - Who are kept by the power of
God through faith unto salvation ready to be
revealed in the last time.
Brothers and sisters,
much love blessings and peace to you. As we enter the final chapter of this
study, we know we can come back to study it many times as well as the whole of
scripture. I thank God for you and your fellowship with me in the word of God
our Father, who has taken us into the very depths of His love, truth, heart,
mind, Spirit to reveal through Paul the apostle the greatest treasure in the
universe, and the greatest expression of God’s love in giving us His only
begotten Son Jesus Christ God the Son of God with power. Jesus belongs to us
and we belong to Him, by faith we are a part of His flesh, His body, His bones and indwelt in Him and God
our Father and God our Holy Spirit: Eph 5:30 - For we
are members of his body, of his flesh, and of his bones.
Let us keep in remembrance,
brothers and sisters, it can’t be said often enough that the Bible is not known
automatically it is not. God commands that all new believers be taught it. There
are some who have been saved a very long time, maybe in the pulpit for many
years too, who are ignorant because they have never heard of the New Covenant
or have a faulty understanding of it altogether.
We know, we do not have
to go around looking for Christians who might be ignorant or have a faulty
understanding of the Scriptures, we can easily tell by what comes out of their
mouths on a consistent basis and by how they live. We know the New Covenant of Jesus Christ is by
the will of God the Father the ABSOLUTE ETERNAL AND UNCHANGING FOUNDATION of His
entire gospel. In fact, there could
be no gospel possible
without His New Covenant through Jesus Christ God the Son of God with power.
Therefore, when we hear
someone saying or teaching Christians can lose their salvation it behooves us not
to be angry with them but to lovingly share and show such ignorant persons the
eternal truth and permanent declaration of God in His New Covenant, as well as
to correct those who have a faulty understanding of it with the everlasting
truth: Heb
8:12 - For I
will be merciful to
their unrighteousness, and their sins and their iniquities will
I remember no more.
In rebuttal, some initially
in shock might pull out 1John 1:9 to say in error misinterpreting that he
teaches that we must go to God to get forgiven by confessing every time we sin,
so we don’t lose our salvation and/or fellowship with God. This is a very
common misinterpretation of this verse, among others such as: Proverbs 28:13 KJV: He
that covereth his sins shall not prosper: but whoso confesseth and forsaketh
them shall have mercy.
However, we know that scripture
easily defends scripture, backs up, confirms and proves scripture within the whole
context of scripture in both the Old and New Testaments without error. We then share
with them the truth that John believed and taught the New Covanant by
declaring: 1Jo
3:9 - Whosoever is
born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he
is born of God.
Christ settles this in
that He teaches us: Mat 7:18 - A good tree cannot bring
forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring
forth good fruit.
It’s necessary, due to
their ignorance, or faulty understanding to share with them WHO the seed is,
His atoning work, power in salvation, new creature, power over sin, repentance,
etc. The Bible is finished entirely in the New Covenant it is the foundation of
eternal salvation in Jesus Christ and the spiritual food for all believers. We
are commanded by God to study on-going, learn, live, apply and obey God by the
Standard of Christ and His eternal truth set forever within the boundary of the
New Covenant.
And we see Lord Jesus, we
drink and eat to the full of Him, His undying, everlasting love and truth.
Therefore, we are fully convicted, convinced, and fully persuaded that we have
the only currency He accepts to enter His kingdom, where He alone has paid for
everything therein. Jesus is our first love, because He first loved us when we
were His enemies, dead in sin and worthy of death.
Praise His name for He
not only saved us but made us new creatures in every way with new spirits,
minds, and hearts like His so we can gratefully joyfully return His love and
love one another. We are made spiritually whole satisfied and complete in
Christ, needing nothing as He has given us everything we need to love and live
His life in this present evil world, and for all eternity: Col 2:10 - And ye
are complete in him, which is the
head of all principality and power:
Heb 13:1 - Let brotherly love continue.
Here, we grasp, holy brethren, what Paul means when he wrote towards the end of
this chapter: Heb 13: 22 And I beseech you, brethren,
suffer the word of exhortation: for I have written a letter unto you in few
words.
These 4 few words of Paul
“let brotherly love continue” written in the sense of shorthand, have a world
of meaning far beyond them to these mature Hebrew believers and us too. We know,
dearly beloveds, God is love, and He empowers and commands us to love one another
and all men. God gives us the understanding, dearly beloveds, that His love is
forever, continuously incendiary never waxing, waning, or growing cold.
We know that God is
absolutely AND only pleased by those who have complete unwavering belief in Him
and that all we do for Him is not out of selfish ambition but done out of love
and trust in Him- giving evidence that we rightly hold that God’s way is the
only right way and the only right way is God’s way-that is what faith is and
will always be.
Therefore, Paul inexorably
hammers into our minds and hearts that he is not giving us merely a to do list
to check off and move on from, but to
understand that God absolutely commands that we retain, bear nonstop the truth that love based upon
and rooted in Jesus Christ is the absolute only way of life, (life style), that
we must obey and operate in following Jesus, choosing/empowered to live holily
in all that we do to carry
out God’s will in everything, in our time, talent, treasure, in our good works, in our character, conduct, conversation, thinking, believing and how we treat/interact consistently with our brothers and sisters and all
men. Jesus gave us all of Himself, dearly beloveds, and we can trust that through faith in Him and the aid of the Holy Ghost He will ensure our transformation and desire over time to give all of ourselves to Him in return out of love and trust in Him in God.
1Pe 4:8 - And above all
things have fervent charity among yourselves: for charity shall
cover the multitude of sins.
This verse 1Pe 4:8 does
not mean that we are to overlook or tolerate sinful behavior, but what it means,
saints (G40 hagios), is supported by too many verses of scripture to put here:
but we can start confidently with this one: Rom 13:10 - Love worketh no ill to
his neighbour: therefore love is the
fulfilling of the law.
Love is God’s absolute litmus
test for who is the authentic child of God and who is not but is a child of the
devil:
1Jo 3:10 - In this the
children of God are manifest, and the children of
the devil: whosoever doeth not righteousness is not of God, neither he
that loveth not his brother.
1Jo 4:20 - If a
man say, I
love God, and hateth his brother, he is a
liar: for he that loveth not his brother whom he
hath seen, how can he love God whom he hath not seen?
We have many teachings
directly from Christ and throughout the whole scripture on God’s love, feel
free to study this further on your own. We know that as we practice/apply
living a life of love rooted in the eternal truth of the everlasting New
Covenant and the scriptures as a whole it becomes as natural to us as
breathing.
Love and truth forever,
serola
