A man was out walking along a shallow stream, deep within a wooded area, simply enjoying the peaceful and beautiful surroundings. He looked down and noticed something sparkling in the water close to the edge. The man reached down and picked up the rather large rock, admiring what looked to him like gold. He left immediately to show it to another that he was aquatinted with. This man made jewelry from stones and such. The second man looked it over and enthusiastically offered the other 300 dollars for his prize. The offer was accepted and the man left that fast. The man that purchased the rock began to clean it; he chipped away parts of it and finally fired up a furnace and placed the rock inside. The finished product once refined was a little over 3 ounces of pure gold.
The original man decided he was going to celebrate and treat himself to a good time, after all he deserved it. First he picked up a hooker and the two of them went to a bar, so they could set the mood. After several drinks our hero decides to do things up right so he chooses to find them some cocaine, to assist in making this wonderful day that much better.
Let me take a moment to explain something, just as I is the central part of sin, sin is the driving force behind this world’s desires, pushing like a high powered engine on a downhill cruise at very rapid pace.
After our lovely couple got their cocaine, they were involved in an accident, which left 3 people dead. A young couple they hit, head on and the hooker all perished that night, I’m sorry to say. The man found himself in front of the judge with no excuse for his behavior, but he begged for mercy, which was not given.
So tell me might you one day find yourself before the judge, begging for ungiven mercy, or might you be like that gold? Cleaned up, refined and prepared for you’re true purpose?
