    Carried By Christ Too
O Lord, You have searched me and known me. You know my sitting down and my rising up; You understand my thought afar off. You comprehend my path and my lying down, And are acquainted with all my ways. For there is not a word on my tongue, But behold, O Lord, You know it altogether. Psalm 139:1-4

    Psalm 27:1

1The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the LORD is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?

When one has faith, we realize that the Lord is our Light, our strength, and it is through our lives which He moves. All God's children desire to dwell in their Father's house. When His presence is within us, whom shall we fear?

Sing To The Lord A New Song!

    Psalm 98:1

Oh, sing to the LORD a new song! For He has done marvelous things; His right hand and His holy arm have gained Him the victory.

When a person repents and converts to a relationship with Christ, the person becomes new and sings a new song, very different from what they had sung before. God changes their heart, and places a new song into their mouths. Sinful human nature is replaced by God's nature.

Let us praise Him for each that is redeemed through His salvation and His righteousness, which fulfilled the prophecies and promises of the Old Testament, and has found victory over the power of Satan, unbelief, and sin. Because of this victory in Jesus, we sing a new song. We sing songs of joy and thanksgiving; our lives will celebrate the Redeemer's praise.

    Walk after His Commandments

    2 John 1:6

And this is love, that we walk after his commandments. This is the commandment, That, as ye have heard from the beginning, ye should walk in it.

Some of us learn to love others as a child in Sunday School. It is important for a strong foundation to be built in our children. They, then, as adults, become more likely in their turn to support the gospel. Our walk is true, our converse right, when according to the Word of God.

    Job's Faithfulness

    Job 8:1-19

Job's friends accused him of evil doings. That must be the explanation for his plite. But Job recognized that not to be the case. He spoke about purpose.

Bildad disagrees, disputing Job angrily, asking Job how he could speak these evil things. And like us in our daily lives, Bildad was quick to treat a man recognizing God's plan with sharpness and contempt. As Bildad toward Job, we carry unfavorable opinions to people that speak the truth, but enables us to look into our own lives and see that we don't wish to recognize God's purpose when things are going wrong. We expect our walk with Christ to be without storms. Without trial.
God's judgement does not necessarily always utilize extraordinary afflictions for the punishment of extraordinary sins. In fact, more often than not, extreme afflictions are nothing more than trials of extraordinary graces, instruments in acheiving God's Will. So rather than judging our friends who face hardship, we ought to take the favorable side.

Bildad states to Job that if he were indeed upright, he would eventually see a good end of his present troubles. This is God's way of enriching the souls of his people with graces and comforts. The beginning is miniature, but the progress builds to perfection. Dawning light grows to noon-day brightness.

    The Good News

    Acts 13:46-47

Then Paul and Barnabas spoke out boldly and declared, "It was necessary that this Good News from God be given first to you Jews.  But since you have rejected it and judged yourselves unworthy of eternal life--well, we will offer it to Gentiles.  For this is as the Lord commanded us when He said, "I have made you a light to the Gentiles, to bring salvation to the farthest corners of the earth."

    He is all around us!

    Isaiah 55:6

Seek ye the LORD while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near.

People spend so much time searching for God in today's society. They seek for Him in all the wrong places. Unfortunately, people search for God in places they believe God ought to be, not where God truly is. The simplicity of salvation is too much for folks to grasp, so they search for Him in the complex world of mysticism, or science. God is nothing more than the Creator who is our Father and Savior. He needs not hide in places that must be searched out beyond His Holy Scripture. He is before us, calling us to Him. All we need to do is answer and ask for the gift He provided for us on a cross on Calvary two thousand years ago. Simply put, He is all around us, in front of us, carrying us, loving us, asking us to Worship Him. He simply asks that we recognize our home, and step through the doorway into His loving care.

    Running a Good Race

    Hebrews 12:1

Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us

Persevering obedience of faith in Christ is the race set before us. We will either win the crown of glory, or have everlasting misery. Sin is against us, and we are prone to sin because of our human nature. And it is our sin that hinders us while
running the Christian race. Sin take away every motive for running, giving power to discouragement. When we grow weary and faint in their minds, we must remember what Jesus suffered. By looking to Jesus, we strengthen our faith.

There is a proneness in believers to grow weary, and to faint under trials and afflictions of life. Christians should not stumble under their trials. Their enemies and persecutors are nothing more than instruments to inflict sufferings, our Heavenly Father has his hand in everything. However, Christians ought not make light of afflictions, either, and be without feeling under them. The storms of life
are the hand and rod of God, and may be His rebukes for sin.

Bear up with faith and patience. God may let others alone in their sins, but he will correct sin in his own children. In this He acts as a father. It is always for our profit.

Our whole life here on Earth is likened to a state of childhood. We are imperfect to spiritual things. When we come to a perfect state, we shall be fully reconciled to all God's chastisement of us now. God's correction is not condemnation.

Let us learn to consider the afflictions brought on us by the malice of men as corrections sent by our wise and gracious Father, for our spiritual good.

And let us run the race to the end.

All Transpires for His Greater Good

    Philippians 4:11

I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content.

Paul wrote this while in a dungeon. How minor our obstacles seem when compared to the trials of Paul as he suffered the persecution for his faith. When we belong to God, no matter what may be going on around us, we must remember that those that come against us are merely instruments in God's plans. We shall be in every state content, for our lives follow His will, desirous to do whatever He commands, because all transpires for His greater good. His will be done.

Wherefore, sirs, be of good cheer: for I believe God, that it shall be even as it was told me. Acts 27:25

There are degrees to faith. At one stage we have difficulty believing unless we have some sign or some great manifestation of feeling. Though it may be true faith, it is imperfect. This kind of faith searches for some token beside the Word of God. This kind of faith believes when there are favorable emotions.

A later form of faith, as we grow in Him, believes God and His Word when circumstances, emotions, appearances, people, and human reason all urge to the contrary.

My wife and I, years ago, faced unfavorable circumstances, and how quickly we forgot that although it seemed like God had abandoned us, He was there all along. Our faith needed to grow so that we may recognize His presence, even though it was the darkest of times. And as we stood in court, tossing venom at each other, the Lord touched my wife, and she proclaimed to the judge: "All I know is that I want my husband back."

She had recognized that she was fallable, able to fall away without even noticing it, and we both recognized that only God could reconcile us.

"Just Love Her," my dad told me.

    And I did.

I had faith that God had everything under control. We had faith that He was the reason we were together. We had faith that God knew what He was doing when He brought us together, and after many difficult years of prayer and "trial and error" we came together, and are now united and as strong as ever, with God's scripture guiding us.

May God give us faith to fully trust His Word though everything else witnesses the other way.
