    Phil 1:23; Heb 3:5-6

    Philippians 1:23 King James Version (KJV)
    23 For I am in a strait betwixt two, having a desire to depart, and to be with Christ; which is far better:

    Philippians 1:23 Contemporary English Version (CEV)

    23 It is a hard choice to make. I want to die and be with Christ, because that would be much better.

    These are my thoughts.
    We have a greater desire to be with Christ than to be in this world but while we are here we should desire to bring Him glory thru serving Him.

    Hebrews 3:5-6 King James Version (KJV)
    5 And Moses verily was faithful in all his house, as a servant, for a testimony of those things which were to be spoken after;

    6 But Christ as a son over his own house; whose house are we, if we hold fast the confidence and the rejoicing of the hope firm unto the end.

    Hebrews 3:5-6 Good News Translation (GNT)

    5 Moses was faithful in God's house as a servant, and he spoke of the things that God would say in the future. 6 But Christ is faithful as the Son in charge of God's house. We are his house if we keep up our courage and our confidence in what we hope for.

    5 Moses was who God gave the law thru but God also gave him words about Jesus and what He would later do, even though Moses may have not fully understood this.

    6 Jesus is higher then Moses because Jesus is Lord. We have our hope because  of Jesus and we should not fear because He is with us.

    Mark 6:42; Job 17:13-14

    Mark 6:42 King James Version (KJV)

    42 And they did all eat, and were filled.

    Mark 6:42 Contemporary English Version (CEV)

    42 After everyone had eaten all they wanted,

    These are my thoughts.

    We are filled with all we need thru Jesus.

    Job 17:13-14 King James Version (KJV)

    13 If I wait, the grave is mine house: I have made my bed in the darkness.

    14 I have said to corruption, Thou art my father: to the worm, Thou art my mother, and my sister.

    Job 17:13-14 Good News Translation (GNT)

    13 My only hope is the world of the dead,
     where I will lie down to sleep in the dark.
    14 I will call the grave my father,
     and the worms that eat me
     I will call my mother and my sisters.

    13 Job thought the Lord having him die was the only answer. It is likely Job may have stopped eating at this point because he wouldnt want to do anything that would further his life. Job wouldnt have been wanting to kill himself but just wished God would let him die.

    14 Job sickness may have been him having worms or things eat him while his skin and flesh were dying and rotting off.

    Mark 6:41; Job 17:11-12

    Mark 6:41 King James Version (KJV)

    41 And when he had taken the five loaves and the two fishes, he looked up to heaven, and blessed, and brake the loaves, and gave them to his disciples to set before them; and the two fishes divided he among them all.

    Mark 6:41 Contemporary English Version (CEV)

    41 Jesus took the five loaves and the two fish. He looked up toward heaven and blessed the food. Then he broke the bread and handed it to his disciples to give to the people. He also divided the two fish, so that everyone could have some.

    These are my thoughts.
    Jesus plans for us today to spread the word as the disciples shared the bread here.

    Job 17:11-12 King James Version (KJV)

    11 My days are past, my purposes are broken off, even the thoughts of my heart.

    12 They change the night into day: the light is short because of darkness.

    Job 17:11-12 Good News Translation (GNT)

    11 My days have passed; my plans have failed;

     my hope is gone.
    12 But my friends say night is daylight;
     they say that light is near,
     but I know I remain in darkness.

    11 Our plans often do fail but God's plans never do, while we not be in the perfect will of God, His perfect will is always done. It is better for us to come into His plans.

    12 Job felt hopeless and like that God had left him and that He may have even turned against him. These are the lies satan wants all believers to be moved by instead of faith in Jesus.
