    REWARDS OF TRUTH

    PROVERBS 2:1-9

    We know God’s principles are the truths with which we build a righteous and joyful life. To develop a Scriptural foundation for living, we learn the Lord’s ways. When we get to know Him it is the greatest blessing, and the more we experience Him, the more we long to be in His presence.

    The building of truth is like digging for gold: when we find a tiny nugget, we keep looking for another one. That little bit keeps us searching until we find a greater size. We get so excited about our nuggets of God-experience we can’t stop digging for more. Our intimacy with the Lord grows stronger. When we walk in His truth it give us confidence and the assurance that He is always guarding and guiding His children.

    Another benefit of learning and applying truth is spiritual discernment. The Christians with a foundation of scriptural reality have the capacity to distinguish a lie, even when it is presented as supportable fact. A wrong offer that was presented in an appealing way might have fooled us before, but it now prompts a check in our spirit.

    So growing in discernment and wisdom equips us for greater service in God’s kingdom. We know the more we experience Him the better we become at discipling other believers.

    Our Lord allows no righteous act to go unrewarded. When we build a scriptural truth foundation for our lives, we receive godly wisdom and new opportunities to serve Him. How great is our reward!

    With God’s Love,

    Lois J.

    JESUS CHRIST THE ONLY FOUNDATION

    1 CORINTHIANS 3:11-23

    11. For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ. 12. Now if any man build upon this foundation gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, stubbles(straw); 13. Every man’s work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man’s work of what sort it is. 14. If any man’s work abide which he hath built there upon, he shall receive a reward. 15. If any man’s work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by(through)fire. 16. Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you? 17. If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are. 18. Let no man deceive himself. If any man among you seemeth to be wise in this world, let him become a fool, that he may be wise. 19. For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God, For it is written, HE TAKETH THE WISE IN THEIR OWN CRAFTINESS. 20. And again, THE LORD KNOWETH THE THOUGHTS OF THE WISE, THAT THEY ARE VAIN. 21. Therefore let no man glory in men. For all things are yours; 22. Whether Paul, or Apollos, or Cephas, or the world, or life, or death, or things present, or things to come; all are yours; 23. And ye are Christ’s; and Christ is God’s. KJV

    TALKING THE TALK AND WALKING THE WALK

    JAMES 1:22
    Be ye doers of the Word, and not hearers only, deceiving your ownself.

    One of the many exortations that were given to us in the Bible concerning hypocrascy; we can find in the book of James.
    So many christians get into the word, but they do not allow the word to get into them. The word of God is alive and active, and sharper than any two edged sword. God's word will not come back to Him void. He watches over His word to perform it. The word of God is forever settled and established in Heaven. We cannot pick and choose certain scriptures and ignore the rest. We must obey the Truth; the Whloe Truth; and nothing but the Truth; And God's Word is True!
    God says if your going to talk the talk; you better walk the walk. Faith without works is dead; and faith worketh by Love; and God is LOVE!
    The Lord said we are to be a light to the world. He said, let your light shine, so that the world may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in Heaven.Let us not be decieved; God will not be mocked! Whatsoever a man soweth; that shall he also reap. When the trumpet of Gabriel sounds; there will be no more second chances. We have too many people playing church. God says they are christians in name only. They honor me with their lips; but their hearts are far, far away! God cannot, nor will not tolerate hypocracy. This is also known as a lying tongue. It is time for us to take our eyes off of ourselves and listen to what the SPIRIT of the LORD is saying. Come Back Unto Your First Love God Says! Jesus said that if we want to be first in His kingdom; we must be last of all; and servant of all. He tells us to bear one anothers burdens, and to think of others as being more important than ourselves. Jesus talked the talk, and walked the walk. Christ is the perfect example, to an imperfect world. Jesus said that these three things remain: Faith; Hope; and LOVE; and the greatest of all is LOVE. Unless we are walking in the true LOVE of Jesus Christ; we are nothing but a noisy clang.
    We either serve God His way; or we don't.( see 1 Kings18:21)

    Col. 2:6- As ye have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, so WALK ye in HIM!
    Jesus said : The Harvast is large but the laborers are few. Let us stand up out of a pure servants heart and say: Here I am Lord; Send Me!
    Remember that Jesus commisioned, and commanded us to GO into the world and preach the Gospel to EVERY creature.

    REVELATION 22:14
    Blessed are they THAT DO His commandments, that they may have right to the tree of LIFE, and may enter in through the gates into the city.

    ISAIAH 1:19
    If ye be WILLING and OBEDIENT,
    ye shall eat the good of the land.

    With God's Love,

    Lois J.

    I CAME ON BUSINESS FOR THE KING

    Someone here needs help and I can't do much;
    But, if we keep on praising, He'll send His touch.
    Healing for body and soul He will bring.
    I came on business for the King.

    Chorus:
    I came on business for the King.
    He told me to pray and He told me to sing.
    I can't just stand here and do my own thing.
    I came on business for the King.

    So, let's not hurry through and close up our hearts,
    With programs so well planned we leave out His part.
    Let's pause for a moment to His Spirit cling,
    I came on business for the King.

    Chorus:
    I came on business for the King.
    He told me to pray and He told me to sing.
    I can't just stand here and do my own thing.
    I came on business for the King.
    I came on business for the King.

    PSALMS CHAPTER 23

    1     ¶ A Psalm of David. The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want.
    2
        He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters.
    3
        He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake.
    4
        Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.
    5
        Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.
    6
        Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever.

    AMAZING GRACE

    Midi: Amazing Grace

    Amazing Grace How Sweet The Sound
    That Saved A Wretch Like Me
    I Once Was Lost But Now I'm Found
    Was Blind But Now I See

    'twas Grace That Taught My Heart To Fear
    And Grace My Fears Relieved
    How Precious Did That Grace Appear
    The Hour I First Believed

    When We've Been There Ten Thousand Years
    Bright Shining As The Sun
    We've No Less Days To Sing God's Praise
    Then When We First Begun

    With God's Love,

    THE OLD PATH

     I liked the old paths, when
    Moms were at home.
    Dads were at work.
    Brothers went into the army.
    And sisters got married BEFORE having children!

    Crime did not pay;
    Hard work did;
    And people knew the difference.

    Moms could cook;
    Dads would work;
    Children would behave.

    Husbands were loving;
    Wives were supportive;
    And children were polite.

    Women wore the jewelry;
    And Men wore the pants.
    Women looked like ladies;
    Men looked like gentlemen;
    And children looked decent.

    People loved the truth,
    And hated a lie;
    They came to church to get IN,
    Not to get OUT!

    Hymns sounded Godly;
    Sermons sounded helpful;
    Rejoicing sounded normal;
    And crying sounded sincere.

    Cursing was wicked;
    Drugs were for illness;
    And divorce was unthinkable.

    The flag was honored;
    America was beautiful;
    And God was welcome!

    We read the Bible in public;
    Prayed in school;
    And preached from house to house
    To be called an American was worth dying for;
    To be called a Christian was worth living for;
    To be called a traitor was a shame!

    Preachers preached because they had a message;
    And Christians rejoiced because they had the VICTORY!
    Preachers preached from the Bible;
    Singers sang from the heart;
    And sinners turned to the Lord to be SAVED!

    A new birth meant a new life;
    Salvation meant a changed life;
    Following Christ led to eternal life.

    Being a preacher meant you proclaimed the word of God;
    Being a deacon meant you would serve the Lord;
    Being a Christian meant you would live for Jesus;
    And being a sinner meant someone was praying for you!

    Laws were based on the Bible;
    Homes read the Bible;
    And churches taught the Bible.

    God was worshiped;
    Christ was exalted;
    And the Holy Spirit was respected..

    Church was where you found Christians
    on the Lord's day, rather than in the garden,
    on the creek bank, on the golf course,
    Or being entertained somewhere else.
    I still like the old paths the best!

    'The Old Paths' was written by a retired Minister who lives in Tennessee.......

    YOU MAY HAVE SEEN THIS BEFORE, BUT I'LL POST IT AGAIN...

    I'M REDEEMED

    We have complete forgiveness for all our sins--past, present, and future--through the shed blood of Jesus Christ. It is vital to our Christian growth though, that we see ourselves not only as forgiven, but also as redeemed.

    Until we grasp the message of the Cross, we will never understand who God is and what He is like. Before the Cross, there seemed to be a conflict between God’s love and His justice. His love longed to provide unconditional salvation for all sinners, and yet His justice demanded that a penalty be paid for sin. Although He lovingly yearned to embrace mankind, His righteousness would not allow Him to look upon our sin. At the Cross justice and love became one, as God remained holy and yet provided a way for sinful men and women to join Him forever.

    The story of God’s redemptive plan spans all of Scripture. In the first two chapters of Genesis, the creation of an earthly paradise and the first man points toward the fact that God planned our redemption. The next several chapters of Genesis (3-11) describe the fall of man and reveal that redemption was not optional; rather, it was required in order for us to have a relationship with God.

    The remainder of the Old Testament, which establishes the history of Israel and points toward the coming Redeemer, demonstrates that God prepared us for His redemption plan. Then in the gospels, Jesus’ life on earth reveals that God’s redemption of man is real and alive. In the book of Acts, when the disciples go into the world to spread the Good News, we see the fulfillment of God’s plan to share His work of redemption with all people. The epistles have been included in the Bible to explain what redemption is, and finally, the Revelation brings the story to an close as God’s redemptive plans preparations, and works come to completion.

    While the books of the Bible aren’t compiled in chronological order, they all fit together like puzzle pieces in time to tell one story--our heavenly Father’s redemptive love for every person who has lived or will ever live.

    With God’s Love,

    Lois J.

    THANKSGIVING FOR GOD'S MERCY

    PSALM 69:34

    Let the heaven and earth praise him, the seas, and every thing that moveth therein.

    So there may be times when we feel that there is nothing to praise God for. After all life can be difficult at times. So when we are feeling that way, why not read Psalm 103:1-22 …

    1.Bless the Lord, O my soul: and all that is within me, bless his holy name. 2. Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits: 3. Who forgiveth all thine iniquities: who healeth all thy diseases: 4. Who redeemed thy life from destruction: who crowneth thee with loving-kindness and tender mercies; 5. Who satisfieth thy mouth with good things; so that thy youth is renewed like the eagle’s. 6. The Lord executeth righteousness and judgment for all that are oppressed. 7. He made known his ways unto Moses, his acts unto the children of Israel. 8. The Lord is merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and plenteous in mercy. 9. He will not always chide: neither will he keep his anger for ever. 10. He hath not dealt with us after our sins; nor rewarded us according to our iniquities. 11. For as the heaven is high above the earth, so great is his mercy toward them that fear him. 12. As far as the east is from the west, so far hath he removed our transgressions from us. 13. Like as a father pitieth his children, so the Lord pitieth them that fear him. 14. For he knoweth our frame; he remembered that we are dust. 15. As for man, his days are as grass: as a flower of the field, so he flourisheth. 16. For the wind passeth over it, and it is gone; and the place thereof shall know it no more. 17. But the mercy of the Lord is from everlasting to everlasting upon them that fear him, and his righteousness unto children’s children; 18. To such as keep his covenant, and to those that remember his commandments to do them. 19.The Lord hath prepared his throne in the heavens; and his kingdom ruleth over all. 20. Bless the Lord , ye his angels, that excel in strength, that do his commandments, hearkening unto the voice of his word. 21. Bless ye the Lord, all ye his hosts; ye ministers of his, that do his pleasure. 22. Bless the Lord, all his works in all places of his domination: bless the Lord, O my soul

    When you think about it, the list is really endless! So come let us praise the Lord. Psalm 95: 6-7 -- O Come, let us worship and bow down: let us kneel before the Lord our maker. 7. For he is our God; and we are the people of his pasture, and the sheep of his hand. kjv

    May the Love of Christ fill your heart and mind now and always.

    With God’s Love,

    Lois J.

    LIFE IS A MIRACLE

    Life Is A Miracle

    Life is a miracle
    Don't let it slip away,
    Open your heart to others
    Give of yourself each day.

    See the beauty in everyone
    Regardless of where they've been,
    Some have a difficult journey
    And really need a friend.

    Share your gifts and talents
    Listen with your heart.
    Do the things you dream about
    But don't have time to start.

    Pick a bouquet of flowers
    Show someone that you care,
    Be gracious and forgiving
    Life is never fair.

    Hold on to your courage
    You may need it down the road,
    We all have a cross to bear
    It could be a heavy load.

    If you practice all these things
    No matter where you roam,
    You may find both sun and rain
    But you'll never feel alone!

    JOY TO MY HEART

    Halleluiah to the king
    Joy to my heart He brings
    I felt much pain
    But again He came
    To bring joy to my heart
    ******
    He shows great mercy
    His love never ends
    He reaches out to touch me
    Helps me on my feet again
    He guides me on so tenderly
    So my heart rejoices again
