Why?
I woke up this morning and wondered why Lord? am I feeling so
low. Why am I so frustrated with life? Things are not going well here in
this old world. We have turned good into evil, and evil into good. We
have forsaken morality for a good time. Marriage is no longer a sacred
vow. We are greedy. We love the things of this world more than God and
Godly values. Have we lost all means of direction? As hard as it may
seem we must continue to fight the good fight of faith trusting in God
for He is still in control of all things and all things to come. When I
have these times when I am frustrated and feeling low I try to remember
what I call a pick me up Bible verse This verse from 1 Timothy 6:12
happens to be my pick me up for today.
Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, to which you
were also called and have confessed the good confession in the presence
of many witnesses.

Worship in Spirit
We need to keep in mind the purpose of worship. The place is not
the most important thing, nor is the worship style. Jesus freed worship
from the limitations of place. God is a Spirit and is not confined to
boxes in which we tend to place Him. Worship is Spiritual and must be
done in a way that brings honor to our Holy God. Worship designed to
stir our excitement and make us feel good seems to miss the point.
Instead worship should fill us with awe that God permits us to come into
His presence.
John 4:24 God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth. KJV

Try It For Yourself
In today’s world, Jesus’ person, teachings and mission are often
questioned. His claim to be “the way truth, and life” [John 14:6] is
rejected by many as dogmatic, intolerant, and politically incorrect.
Such a response of rejection will prohibit a saving relationship with
Jesus. But persons serious about exploring the claims of Jesus and
experiencing life in Him will find the truth of Jesus’ identity. All who
do so will experience the power of firsthand faith.
John 7:17 If anyone wills to do His will, he shall know concerning
the doctrine, whether it is from God or whether I speak on My own
authority. [NKJV]

Authority of Jesus
Many people possess great authority over others because of who
they are and what they are. This is true of devoted parents. It is
certainly true of the authority of Jesus. He has never led an army and
never held a political office, yet no one dead or living has exercised
so much influence over so many lives. The authority of Jesus rests on
the fact that He is the Son of God. All authority or power has been
given to Him in heaven and on earth. His authority over Christians is
also based on the fact that He is the Savior of and Lord of our lives.
Matthew 28:18 And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth.[ NKJV]

Time and Eternity
In order to prevent us from becoming cynical or pessimistic about
time and life’s events. In Ecclesiastes 3 Solomon urged us to recognize
that we need a different perspective because God has put eternity in
our hearts. We are reminded that God has set a time and place for
everything. The challenge for God’s people is to trust God’s purposes,
even when we don’t understand them.
Ecclesiastes 3:1 To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven: (KJV)

Best Gift of All
What is most important in our lives? For some its an expensive
home for others a career that ensures financial success, others good
health for them and their loved ones. None of these are wrong if used to
serve God. To often we stress to much emphasis on the temporary things
of this life on earth, and do not stress the importance of wholeness and
eternal life through Jesus Christ. Peter did not offer the lame man
money, although he could have, instead he offered the man the best gift-
wholeness in the name of Jesus Christ. Gods grace is free and given to
those that except Him. This generous gift is the best gift of all.
Then Peter said, Silver and gold have I none; but such as I have give
I thee: in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk. Acts
3:6.

Sing Praises
When we consider the limitless array of flowers and plant life,
with the vast spectrum of colors they display. The enormous variety of
animal, and plant life should incite us to praise God for this wondrous
beauty. Even our solar system has been hand-made with great care. The
moon keeps us rotating at the right speed and stops us from teetering
toward Jupiter. We are situated at a perfect distance from the sun so
that its million degree heat doesn’t scorch us. More astonishing still,
our solar system is only one of at least 200, billion in the Milky Way
Galaxy. Whether viewed through a microscope or a telescope, all of
creation is a masterpiece. Isn’t God amazing?
Psalm 104:33 I will sing unto the Lord as long as I live: I will sing praise to my God while I have my being.

Following Jesus
When we become a true disciple of Jesus, everything changes. Our
hopes, plans, and dreams are replaced by His. We look forward to serving
Him and His kingdom. We abandon now and forever our possessions and
friends, and even family if necessary. We
are tempted to soften and rationalize these hard sayings. We must
resist doing so at all cost. The Christian life is a radical life. But,
then Jesus was, after all, a radical Messiah calling us to follow His
radical way of living. Following Jesus calls for a total and exclusive
devotion that abandons all security, comforts, and relationships.
Luke 9:62 But Jesus said to him, “No one, after putting his hand to
the plow and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God.”(NASB)
