Blood Pressue and God's Providence
First, thank you to those who have expressed concern over my high blood pressure. Your words are very appreciated. I've been diligently taking my pill a day and have worked at being more consistent in exercising.
Bro. Larry asked why I happened to take it when I did... since I don't believe in "fate" it had to be God's providence. I almost didn't have the nurse check it and now I'm thankful that I did. God is always working and sometimes we actually see it!!!! OK, maybe the rest of you see it all the time, and I'm the only one that's SLOW.
Hope you all had a blessed Thanksgiving.

Time Flies!
Whether you're having fun or not! So it seems... had some interesting things take place in the past few days, the "biggy" being coming to terms with the fact I'm not as young as I use to be. And believe it or not I'm not invincible... A couple of weeks ago we had our "Benefits Fair" at work (Azusa Pacific University) and there was a nurse there taking blood pressures... well, I decided to have mine check and was shocked to find out it was 155/110. Not so good... I had it check the next day hoping and praying it was a mistake, but alas, it was still 143/100. Thankfully, the doctor's office got me in right away and we're dealing with it and thank God, I feel better than I have in a long time...
Anyway, my rantings of late have dealt with what does worship look like. A couple of Sundays ago, I opened the service with an interesting medley. The contemporary chorus "Let the Walls Fall Down" then we went right into the old hymn, "The Church's One Foundation" and ended the medley with the chorus of "Let the Walls Fall Down" I was a little surprised how few knew the hymn... but my guitar player who tends to be the most critical (but not in a bad way) really liked the medley. I believe there is a place for hymns and chorus a place where they can live in harmony (pun oh so intended).
And now it's time to plan the set for next Sunday...
