    Mark 2:27; 2 Peter 3:17-18

    Mark 2:27King James Version (KJV)

27 And he said unto them, The sabbath was made for man, and not man for the sabbath:

    Mark 2:27New Life Version (NLV)

27 Jesus said to them, “The Day of Rest was made for the good of man. Man was not made for the Day of Rest.

    These are my thoughts.

Rest is not to be a burden but a time of reflection and worship.

2 Peter 3:17-18King James Version (KJV)

17 Ye therefore, beloved, seeing ye know these things before, beware lest ye also, being led away with the error of the wicked, fall from your own stedfastness.

18 But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and for ever. Amen.

2 Peter 3:17-1821st Century King James Version (KJ21)

17 Ye therefore, beloved, seeing that ye know these things beforehand, beware lest ye also, being led away with the error of the wicked, fall from your own steadfastness.

18 But grow in grace and in the knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To Him be glory both now and for ever. Amen.

17 Because we have the scriptures and have been warned we should not fall for the tricks of false teachers if we are in His word and in Him, this does not mean we will not fall to our own flesh, this is a fight we have to keep fighting. The error of the wicked is rejection of Jesus and all that is good.

18 We grow in by the grace of God, it is by His grace that He gives us growth. Knowledge apart from the Lord is not of true value but the knowledge of the Lord is something that keeps growing as we grow in and thru Him. We should always give God, Jesus the glory and praise, this is why we are to walk the Christian walk, to serve Him and give Him praise.

    Keep our eyes on Jesus.

    Mark 2:26; 2 Peter 3:16

    Mark 2:26

KJV 26 How he went into the house of God in the days of Abiathar the high priest, and did eat the shewbread, which is not lawful to eat but for the priests, and gave also to them which were with him?

KJ2000 26 How he went into the house of God in the days of Abiathar the high priest, and did eat the showbread, which is not lawful to eat except for the priests, and gave also to them who were with him?

    These are my thoughts.

This was done and no one questioned this because David did what had to survive at that time.

2 Peter 3:16King James Version (KJV)

16 As also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things; in which are some things hard to be understood, which they that are unlearned and unstable wrest, as they do also the other scriptures, unto their own destruction.

This is referring to Paul and the letters he wrote which were many most are within the scriptures. Paul wrote what each needed to hear. Paul encouraged Timothy, scolded some of the churches for their wrongs and encouraged them in their doing right and always encouraged people to follow that path Jesus their Lord had for them. Those of the world will not fully understand Paul’s letters many young Christians will not understand them as well, it takes a time being with the Lord in faith. People can not understand Paul if they do not have Jesus.

    Keep our eyes on Jesus.

    Mark 2:25: 2 Peter 3:14-15

    Mark 2:25

KJV 25 And he said unto them, Have ye never read what David did, when he had need, and was an hungred, he, and they that were with him?

KJ2000 25 And he said unto them, Have you never read what David did, when he had need, and was hungry, he, and they that were with him?

    These are my thoughts.

God wants us to take care of our needs but not put them in front of Him.

2 Peter 3:14-15King James Version (KJV)

14 Wherefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for such things, be diligent that ye may be found of him in peace, without spot, and blameless.

    15 And account that the longsuffering of our Lord is salvation; even as our beloved brother Paul also according to the wisdom given unto him hath written unto you;

2 Peter 3:14-1521st Century King James Version (KJ21)

14 Therefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for such things, be diligent that ye may be found by Him in peace, without spot and blameless.

15 And account that the longsuffering of our Lord is salvation, even as our beloved brother Paul also, according to the wisdom given unto him, hath written unto you,

14 We as Christians should do things out of love for one another a Christ like love that can only come by first coming to Him, Peter had this love and we should also strive for it as well. We should live in a way that pleases Christ, we will not be perfect because we are sinners and because of us not being perfect are why we need God’s grace which is given to us by Jesus. We are made perfect by the covering of our sins by the blood of the perfect Lamb, Jesus Christ.

15 Being Christian is not easy it is a harder walk than the road the world takes. The road the Christians take is referred to the narrow road while the road the world travels is broad. Paul had to suffer like very few had to. We should learn from the scriptures but also should be able to learn from Godly people He has put in our lives.

    Keep our eyes on Jesus.

    Mark 2:24; 2 Peter 3:11-13

    Mark 2:24

KJV 24 And the Pharisees said unto him, Behold, why do they on the sabbath day that which is not lawful?

KJ2000 24 And the Pharisees said unto him, Behold, why do they on the sabbath day that which is not lawful?

    These are my thoughts.

We are following the ways of Christ even if men question us.

2 Peter 3:11-13King James Version (KJV)

11 Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness,

12 Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat?

13 Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness.

2 Peter 3:11-1321st Century King James Version (KJ21)

11 Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy manner of living and godliness,

12 looking for and hastening unto the coming of the Day of God, wherein the heavens, being on fire, shall be dissolved and the elements shall melt with fervent heat?

13 Nevertheless we, according to His promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness.

11 There will come a time what we see will be no more, the only things that last is the Word, God, and peoples souls everything else fades away or dies. We should no longer live as we did before our coming to Christ, when we come to Christ He makes us different, like a new person. We should live holy or as God wants us to, live in His will.

12 Heavens here refer most likely to the sky, which could refer to the sun coming down to earth or something else to cause the earth to burn up. If fire was so much to fill the sky the heat would kill us, this could be the ozone layer going away, this could be anything but it will happen in the way God had planned.

13 There will be a new heaven and earth, this is recorded in Revelation, and it will be with sin and the results that come from sin.

    Keep our eyes on Jesus.
