(For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;)

Eph 6:10 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. 11 Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. 12 For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age,[fn] against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.

No matter how strong we might feel physically or in sheer numbers there is a certain battle that will never be won by physical might. Spiritual warfare which is the deadliest battle of all, can only be won by the Christian through the power of God. This does not mean that Christians are banned from physical defense of themselves or others from human enemies.

Our spiritual warfare is with the devil and His evil forces behind many kinds of human evil. Our spiritual weapons of warfare are given to every Christian and thoroughly backed be the power of God, assuring our victory for His glory.  See the whole of chapter 6 Eph.

We have some thinking to fight this spiritual warfare without any knowledge of it as contained within the new covenant of Jesus Christ. The Bible warns us against being prone to strife or of an argumentative nature going around spoiling for a fight with people to fight or argue without cause. This behavior is one of the works of the flesh, forbidden by God. Instead we are to go in peace with all men as much as we can on our part: Rom 12:18
If it be possible, as much as lieth in you, live peaceably with all men.

But let us rather obey God:

Rom 13:13 - Let us walk honestly, as in the day; not in rioting and drunkenness, not in chambering and wantonness, not in strife and envying.

Those who only trust in their own strength are walking in the flesh like mere men without the Spirit.

1Co 3:3 - For ye are yet carnal: for whereas there is among you envying, and strife, and divisions, are ye not carnal, and walk as men? Works of the flesh: Gal 5:20 - Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies…

From the old to the new covenant no good thing will ever result from senseless strife.

Pro 28:25 - He that is of a proud heart stirreth up strife: but he that putteth his trust in the LORD shall be made fat. It behooves those who belong to Jesus Christ to follow Him not their own selves: Jas 1:22 - But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.
