Look To What God Will Do
"But forget all that? it is nothing compared to what I am going to do. - Isaiah 43:18 (NLT).
What God has done in the past is nothing compared to what He will do in
the future. He is a good God, and He is out to do you good. Just
watch and see.

Make God Bigger
"I, even I, am the one who comforts you. So why are you afraid of mere
humans, who wither like the grass and disappear? - Isaiah 51:12 (NLT).
God comforts us. God is there for us. If we believe this, why are we
still afraid of what mere humans can do to us? We don't believe in our
heart of hearts that God is really able, that God is our only Source,
the only Friend we need. We have to trust God more. We need to make
Him bigger in our lives than any problem we may have.

Leave It To God
I replied, "But my work all seems so useless! I have spent my strength
for nothing and to no purpose at all. Yet I leave it all in the LORD's
hand; I will trust God for my reward." - Isaiah 49:4 (NLT).
How many times have you felt like this? Like everything you do for the
Lord and for others is useless? That you have spent your strength for
nothing? This Scripture tells us to leave it all in God’s hand and
trust Him for our reward. That’s sound advice.
When we have come to the end of ourselves, we should leave it all in
God’s hand. Before we have even come to that point, we should leave it
in God’s hands. He is capable of handling every problem we encounter.
We aren’t.
Only through Him can we do anything. Leave everything in God’s hands.
Then you can enjoy the life God intended for you to have.

In His Strength
So shall they fear the name of the LORD from the west, and his glory
from the rising of the sun. When the enemy shall come in like a flood,
the Spirit of the LORD shall lift up a standard against him. - Isaiah
59:19 (KJV).
When the enemy comes, God knows it. He knows when we are being
harassed, tormented and picked on by the devil. God sees everything.
The Spirit of the Lord lifts up a standard against the devil on our
behalf. He will cause the devil to flee from us. He will drive the
devil away. Most of us are trying to fight the devil in our own
strength, in our own power. However, the best weapon we have against
the devil is to rest in the Lord and let God fight our battles for us.

Keep Your Eyes On Jesus
So many times when we are going through crisis or problems, like Peter,
we take our eyes off our Savior. We take our eyes off our very present
help in time of trouble.
Instead we focus our attention on the circumstances--the blowing wind,
the choppy waves, or in our case, our depleting checkbook or the
symptoms in our bodies.
We pay so much attention to what our bodies tell us or what our boss is
saying about cut backs and layoffs. We are bombarded by so many
negative messages that we start to believe them over God. We tuck
those messages away in our hearts, and we let those seeds grow.
We need to re-shift our attention, our perspective. Instead of
focusing on the great need in our lives, we must focus on our Jesus.
Just as Peter turned his attention on Jesus and walked on the water, we
too need to keep our eyes upon Jesus.
We are already healed according to I Peter 2:24. We are already
prosperous in Christ Jesus. We are already blessed with every thing
that pertains to life and godliness (2 Peter 1:3-4). However we focus
too much on getting ourselves heal, making ourselves rich and providing
for our own needs.
Instead we should focus on our Savior. Worshiping Him. Spending time
with Him. Singing to Him. Paying attention to what He is saying to
our spirits.
Our attitudes must change from "Gimme! Gimme!" to "Thank You, Lord."
It’s time that we worship God and rest in His presence, where we will
be refreshed and renewed.
What can we be grateful for? A roof over our head? Food on our
table? Extra groceries in our cupboards? A bed to sleep in? A Bible
to read? Let’s start by thanking Him for those things. No matter how
small. We need to find the positive in every situation, and be
grateful to God for it.
When our focus is on Jesus, when we turn our eyes upon Him and trust Him to bring us through our tough times, He will.
As we worship God, we forget ourselves and our problems. It is when
we spend time worshiping God that He takes care of everything that
concerns us. He makes sure all our needs our met.
We must remember to keep our eyes on Jesus. Never let them waver. Then He will cause us to be victorious in everything we do.

Keep Believing
"Keep on asking and it will be given to you; keep on seeking and you
will find; keep on knocking and the door will be opened to you."
(Matthew 7:7 AMP).
Many times in our lives, we give up before we get our breakthrough. We
give up before we obtain the promises of God. We stand on the Word for
a few weeks and when nothing happens right away, we quit. Instead we
need to stick with it. We need to hold on until we receive what we are
believing God for. No matter how bad things look. If we press in, God
will always come through for us.

Let Him Teach You
Every scripture is God-breathed,so that the man of God may be complete
and proficient, well-fitted and thoroughly equipped for every good work
(2 Timothy 3:16-17 AMP).
Every word of the Bible is breathed by God. We are to read the Bible
so that we may be thoroughly equipped for every good work. It is only
when we let ourselves be taught by the Holy Spirit that we understand
the Bible that well. He is our Teacher. Only He gives us the
knowledge we need to understand the Word. Only He can show us what to
do in every situation. Only He knows what we need at the right time.
Every time. He is the best Teacher we will ever have.

He Will Not Afflict
[Touching] the Almighty, we cannot find him out: [he is] excellent in
power, and in judgment, and in plenty of justice: he will not afflict.
- Job 37:23
We, as human beings, know how to give good things to our children. We
wouldn't give our children any thing that would harm them. We wouldn't
intentionally inject them with a life-threatening disease. We wouldn't
let them play in places that are dangerous to them.
However, we have gotten the impression that our Heavenly Father, who
loved us enough to sent His Son to die for us, would harm us. We
believe He afflicts us with diseases and allows harm to come our way to
teach us something.
This Scripture clearly states that the Almighty does not afflict. No,
He loves us. We are His children, engrafted into His family. Because
you are His child, He only wants what is best for you...and harming you
is not God's best for you.

Are You Yielded?
Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in
health, even as thy soul prospereth. - 3 John 2 (King James Version).
God wants us to prosper and be in health as our soul prospers.
What does that word prosper mean in this context? It is the Greek
transliterated word euodoo, which means to grant a prosperous and
expeditious journey, to lead by a direct and easy way, to grant a
successful issue, to cause to prosper, to prosper, be successful.
In other words, God wants to lead us into prosperity of our health,
wealth and in every area of our lives. He does this by leading us by
a direct and easy way that will cause us to prosper and be successful.
We will never be successful in life if we don't let God lead us. If we
follow our own way, we will fail every time. How much we are yielded
to God will determine how much prosperity we enjoy in our lives.

A Matter Of Life And Death
Looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the
joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and
has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. - Hebrews 12:2
Jesus endured the cross for us. He went to the cross to take our place.
Understand this. If He didn't go to the cross, we would all be going
to hell when we die. Instead we are going to Heaven when we die, if we
have accepted Jesus, because Jesus died for us. He laid down His own
life for ours.
You have that assurance, but other people in this world aren't that
fortunate because no one has told them what Jesus did for them.
I challenge you to look for opportunities today to share your faith
with others. Remember: for them, it is a matter of life and death.
Heaven or hell.

God Is Concerned
“He gives blessing to His beloved in sleep” (Psalm 127:2 AMP).
The Lord is concerned about every aspect of our lives. Even our sleep
patterns. After my grandfather died, whom I was extremely close to, I
couldn't sleep. A spirit of grief tried to overtake me. That's when I
started reading my sleep Scriptures. I've never had a sleepless night
since. When we apply God's Word, He comes through every time. He
really indeed gives His Beloved sleep. Thank God we are His Beloved.

What Do You Choose?
We
all make choices in life. We decide whether we will go out with Fred
or Martin. Whether we will cheat on our taxes. Whether we will
pursue that career or another one.
This
week I experienced some physical discomfort. Nothing serious, but it
hurt nevertheless. I tried all the remedies and nothing seemed to
work.
I
believe that I am healed. I know that according to the Word, Jesus
already took all my sicknesses, pains and discomforts when He took
stripes on His back at the Cross.
Some
times, though, when we are in the middle of the problem, still
feeling the discomfort, waiting for God's Word to manifest, we become
discouraged.
In
those times, we can complain. We can say things that are contrary to
the Word, such as “I'm going to have this pain forever” or “God's
Word doesn't work."
Or
we can choose to continue saying faith-filled words, such as “By
Jesus' stripes, I am healed,” “God has taken sickness away from
the midst of me,” or “God has restored health unto me and healed
me on my wounds.”
The
choice is ours. We can continue to stay in faith, believing and
speaking God's Word. Or we can allow doubt and unbelief and the
discomfort to bully us into saying words of fear and discouragement.
I
choose to continue to believe and speak what God says. What about
you?

How Do You See You?
For we are saved by hope: but hope that is seen is not hope: for what a
man seeth, why doth he yet hope for? But if we hope for that we see
not, then do we with patience wait for it. - Romans 8:24-25
What do you see? How do you see yourself? How do you see what you can
do in life? If you are like most of us, you have a bad image of
yourself. You think that you are a bad person, a worthless person, an
unworthy person. God doesn't see you as that. He sees you as worthy
and precious through His Son. As Believers, we need to change our
image of ourselves to reflect God's. Then we will be able to be all we
can be for God.

No More Shame
Those who look to Him are radiant; their faces are never covered with shame (Psalm 34:5).
When we look to God, we are radiant. Our faces are not covered with
shame. There is no shame once we accept what Jesus did for us. We are
righteous in God's sight now. The sacrifice for our sins has been made
once and for all. And because of this, we are radiant in God's sight,
as white as snow. Jesus took the shame for us, so that we don't have
to.

Many Are God's Works
How many are your works, O Lord! In wisdom you made them all. - Psalm 104:24

He is. Once I took a medication prescribed by my doctor for an
infection. Later, I learned that the medication caused one woman to

Get Understanding
…and the Lord give thee understanding in all things... - 2 Timothy 2:7
One of the functions of the Holy Spirit is to lead us into all truth. I am sure that there have been times in your life that you have had a gut feeling something was wrong, but you didn’t know what. Or you had a problem that you just didn’t know how to fix. We don’t know every thing, but our God does. If we ask Him for understanding in a matter, He will give it to us. The Word Works!
Many years ago, a woman leveled an unfounded accusation against my mother.
I decided to take a verse from the Word and stand on it. I thanked and praised God for the answer and quoted the Scripture. I did this day after day, week after week, month after month.
Before we went to court, I had a dream. I saw the court papers with the word "Dismissed" stamped across them.
We walked into that court room, but we were the only ones involved in the court case who showed. Just like in my dream, the judge dismissed the case.
The Word works!
I used to have trouble sleeping. My mind would be tortured at night with worries and fear. Now I read four Scriptures concerning sleep every night before I go to bed. I don't have a bit of trouble sleeping since I started this routine.
The Word works!
The Word, according to the Bible, is our seed. When we agree with God's Word, speak it out of our mouths and continually choose to believe the Word, our circumstances will have no choice but to change.
Many people will tell you that our money is our seed. They insist that our time is seed and that whatever we have in our hand is seed. However the primary seed that the Bible talks about is the Word.
When we have a problem in life, we must devise a battle plan. We need to go to the Word and find every Scripture concerning that situation. We can do this by using a concordance--online or offline.
We should write the Scriptures we found on a sheet of paper. After this, we want to widdle the list to three. Then we need to speak those three over our lives every day.
We must keep speaking those Scriptures over our lives every free moment we get--in the washroom, while we are cooking, while we are at red lights, on our lunch break, when we are waiting in line--until our circumstances change for the good.
When we do this, we are interjecting seeds of faith into the situation. The facts of our circumstances eventually have to conform to the Ultimate Truth--the Word of God. Hallelujah!

Look For God's Mercy
Keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life. - Jude 1:21
According to this Scripture, we are instructed to keep ourselves in the
love of God. We are to look for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ
unto eternal life. We are to look for the mercy of Jesus. God is so
merciful to us. When we have blown it, when we don't deserve it, He
still pours His mercy out on us because He loves us. But the key to
our spiritual walk is to believe in His love and that He loves us
personally. As we do, we find ourselves being more loving, being more
gentle, being more kind. These are the results of believing that God,
the Creator of the Universe, loves us.

Worship?
O come, let us worship and bow down; let us kneel before the Lord our maker. – Psalm 95:6
What is your definition of worship? For me, worship is an outward expression of how I feel about God. It is not about what He has done for me. It is about Who He is in my life. It is a very private moment between us, where I just love on Him...and He loves on me. What does worship mean to you?

We Don't Know The Way
Thomas saith unto him, Lord, we know not whither thou goest; and how can we know the way? - John 14:5 (KJV).
How many times are we like Thomas? We complain to God that we have no idea where He is taking us. It is really none of our business. We have to trust that God knows best, and that He is taking us to the place we need to be when we need to be there. We have to trust God to lead us where we should be.

God And Us
If the LORD delight in us, then he will bring us into this land, and
give it us; a land which floweth with milk and honey. Only rebel not ye
against the LORD, neither fear ye the people of the land; for they are
bread for us: their defence is departed from them, and the LORD is with
us: fear them not. - Numbers 14:8-9
How many times have giants been in our land? Obstacles that stood in
between us and God's best? We should not be afraid. God is pleased
with us, and He will give us whatever He promised us. God is on our
side and with Him on our side, there is nothing we can't do.

Work With Purpose
Over the years, I have had many dead-end jobs.
I worked as a customer service branch representative for a collection agency, where I was treated like a real employee most of the time. When the meetings about the company's future started, my supervisors shoved me in the break room with the rest of the temps.
I worked in a call center that took the overflow calls from Ramada and the other major hotel chains. My supervisors strongly suggested that I push the customers into buying whether they wanted to or not.
I worked at Arby's, my security blanket. There I practically ran the show. I managed the morning shifts, the night shifts and the in-between shifts. If anything didn't work out in my life, I knew I could always crawl back to Arby's. It prevented me from giving myself completely to God's dreams for my life.
But besides being dead-end jobs, these jobs also had something else in common. They were just work. There was no real purpose in them for me.
When sin entered the world, it called us to toll and sweat. Jesus died for the price of our sins, and He called us to work for a purpose.
As long as we are just working to carve out a living, as long as we are seeing money as our ultimate purpose, we will never be happy.
Yes, we must earn a living, but when money is our primary focus, our primary motivation, it will always fail to make us happy. We have to instead see working as a stepping stone to our purpose.
Our purpose existed before we did. God fashioned us for that exact purpose. He created us with the right personality traits, the right combination of talents, abilities and skills to accomplish that specific task. Even though it may not seem that way to us.
We all have a call on our lives and until we know what that call is and are moving toward it, we will never be truly happy.
Without purpose, work is just work. Life without purpose is just drudgery, the same old, same old, day in and day out.
How do we find our purpose? We go to the Source. We ask God.
We should just sit quietly before Him and ask, gLord, what do you want me to do with my life? h If we do this day after day after day, He will eventually He will answer us.
If we sense that He is telling us to do something that is easy, it probably isn't God.
If the task He is putting on our hearts is overwhelming, that's probably Him. His tasks are always bigger than we can handle on our own. They require us to ask Him to help us.
Why not ask God what His purpose is for us today?

Acknowledge Him
I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing. - John 15:5
Many times we quote this Scripture. Only how many times do we actually absorb it? Let it sink in? We can do nothing without God. He is the One who keeps us alive. He is the One who keeps us breathing. He is the One who has saved us from destruction. It is only with His help that we can accomplish any thing of any worth in this world. We need to do as Proverbs 3:6 says and acknowledge God in everything we do. Ask for His input. Remember His plans are always blessed. Ours aren’t. Acknowledge God in every thing you do today!

Guard Your Mouth
Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what
is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may
benefit those who listen. - --Ephesians 4:29 New International Version
How many times do we just let our mouths talk? How many times do we
put our mouths on auto-pilot, making no conscious effort to listen to
what is coming out of our mouths? We all, including me, need to make a
conscious effort to listen to what we are saying. Out of the abundance
of our hearts, our mouth speaks (Matthew 12:34). Isn’t it time that we
changed what it is that is coming out of our mouths? Change it so that
it uplifts people instead of puts them down?

Be Spirtually Minded
For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but
they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit. For to be
carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and
peace. - Romans 8:5-6 (KJV)
To have life and peace, we must be spiritually minded. We have to
focus on those things that God has put in His Word. It is time that we
start focusing on those things, those principles, than focusing on our
problems, on our circumstances, on ourselves. Instead of focusing on
us, let's focus on our God. Let's focus on everything He has done for
us...and all that He has promised is ours in His Word.

Be Like Linus
Therefore, my dear brothers, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always
give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that
your labor in the Lord is not in vain. - 1 Corinthians 15:58 (NIV)
We need to stand firm to the Word and to what God Himself has spoken to
us personally. We cannot allow the devil, our finances, our health,
our neighbors, our sisters and brothers at church to move us off that
Word. We have to stick to it through thick and thin...and hold onto it
when everything else in the natural says it isn't going to come to
pass. We must be like Linus from the Peanuts comics and his security
blanket. We need to hold that promise, that Word from God, even when
it is tattered and torn. We have to watch for that promise until we
see it manifest. We cannot let go.
