THE MORNING GLORY
I awaken to the glory of the morn', sunshine streaking, birds cheerfully cheeping, another day is born. The Morning Glory inaudibly climbs, and shares its shy beauty, so rare. And, we know that behind its mystery, Our Creative God is there. He blesses us with sunshine, He blesses us with rain, because it's only through the showers, that do we not, remain the same. So, as this new day awakens, and I'm cradled securely in Your arms, May Your love forever keep me safe, and sheltered from all storms. In His Love, Lois J.

WALK WITH ME
My friend and I were sitting at the table We were talking over things we'd seen and done When I saw a lone tear stream down her face So I asked her then to tell me what was wrong
I saw her hesitate for just a moment Then with a shaking voice she went on to say I've been so afraid to talk about this Cause as a friend I couldn't bear you to turn me away
She said, "If you died today do you know you'd go to heaven? Have you thought much about eternity? Have you asked the Lord to be your Saviour? So that when we walk the golden streets you will walk with me."
She went on to say that we are all born sinners And just being good won't help you or me That if we don't take Jesus as our Saviour An eternity in hell is where we'll be
We just have to realize and ask forgiveness Then ask Jesus to come into our heart From that point we'll forever be His children Cause to Him that point is where our life will start
She said, "If you died today do you know you'd go to heaven? Have you thought much about eternity? Have you asked the Lord to be your Saviour? So that when we walk the golden streets you will walk with me." With God's Love, Lois

THE LITTLE COUNTRY CHURCH
‘Twas a little frame Country Church, standing over there. Many times, I walked this way, under parents' loving care.
We had a special pew, room enough for a babe to have a bed, As we sat quietly and listened to what the preacher said.
He was a man of God. The Spirit of God, through him, truly ran. God’s words he spoke to us. He was a Godly man.
We would sing the songs of old, about our Savior’s love And how awesome it would be when we get to Heaven above.
Our Church was out in the country, beside a lovely wood. We’d listen to the gentle breeze blowing through the trees, as oft as we could.
It seemed so peaceful, the little Church ever so full of Grace. Wouldn’t it be a wonder, someday, just to go back and see this place?
I can almost hear the singing now, about how amazing was God’s love; How the river of life was ever flowing in Heaven, there, above.
When a soul was saved by grace, the Angels would shout and sing For the victory of our Savior, to Heaven, more souls to bring.
There aren’t as many little Churches, today, standing closely by. We would have to go back to yesterday, maybe break down and cry.
But those days are gone forever. For, now, we have Churches of brick and stone. But if we can still, in our hearts go back, then it’s never really gone. With God's Love Lois J.

IN MY GARDEN
In My GardenIn my garden, filled with flowers, I sit in quiet prayer And, as I look around me, I see God everywhere.
He's in the fragrant roses, In glorious array. Their perfume lingers in the air And takes my breath away.
A gentle breeze is blowing. Sunshine warms my face. How near to God I feel, In this enchanting place.
I see His hand in everything, Sweet gifts sent from above. My soul knows only peace, As I rest, here, in His love.

PRAY WITHOUT CEASING
Pray Without Ceasing I Thessalonians 5:17I will pray without ceasing, For it keeps me ever focused on you. I will pray without ceasing, For I know your promises are true. I will pray without ceasing, For everything, all my burdens, my fears and concerns have I given to you. I will pray without ceasing, For protection, guidance, strength, all that I need of you. I will pray without ceasing, All my love, my heart, I give to you. I will pray without ceasing, For all things you have seen me through... Finally, I will pray without ceasing, For I know I can always depend on you.
I love you Lord AMEN.

ABIDING IN CHRIST
THE VINE AND THE BRANCHES - ABIDING IN CHRIST JOHN 15:4-5 --Abide in me, and I in you, as the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me. 5... I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing. kjv As believers, we know the corner stone of our faith is focus on Jesus Christ. Yet many of us find ourselves working overtime to please God through our good works and righteous behavior. Spiritual and physical burnout is the inevitable result. People are not meant to live the Christian life in their own strength. Scriptures tells us to abide in Christ, just as a branch connects to the vine. Believers who abide in the Lord no longer exist for themselves, but rather live for Him. Then we cease striving after righteousness and instead submit to God, allowing Him to live His life through us. In this way, the strength and energy that characterize the life of Jesus Christ become ours. As we yield our entire being to God and abide in Christ, He conforms our thoughts to His will and purpose--our minds and bodies are prepared to sesrvice in His kingdom. God has a valuable role for everyone committed to doing His work. Too often we become ensnared by the question, "What does God want me to do?" We wait for an answer, refusing to act until He responds. But obediently abiding in the Lord does not mean we sit around soaking up Scripture while doing nothing. Instead, we trust Him to guide us, leading us into the world to do what needs doing, whether it's teaching a Sunday School class, visiting the sick, or sharing our faith with the commuter riding with us on the train, bus, car or where ever we may be everyday. The righteous acts aren't designed to earn God's approval; rather, they are the natural outworkings of a Christ-abiding life. With God's Love, Lois
