Mark 2:20;2 Peter 3:3-5
Mark 2:20
KJV 20 But the days will come, when the bridegroom
shall be taken away from them, and then shall they fast in those days. KJ2000 20 But the days will come, when the bridegroom shall be taken away from
them, and then shall they fast in those days. These are my thoughts. Jesus is gone in body but we have Him in the Holy Spirit. 2 Peter 3:3-5King James Version (KJV) 3 Knowing this first, that there
shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts, 4 And saying, Where is the promise
of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they
were from the beginning of the creation. 5 For this they willingly are
ignorant of, that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth
standing out of the water and in the water: 2 Peter 3:3-521st Century King James Version (KJ21) 3 knowing this first:
that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts 4 and saying, “Where is
the promise of His coming? For since the fathers fell asleep, all things
continue as they were from the beginning of the creation.” 5 For of this they are
willfully ignorant: that by the Word of God the heavens were of old, and the
earth standing out of the water and in the water, 21st Century King James Version (KJ21)

There will be and there are many that make fun of Christians for following
Christ and those who make fun of a faith in anything bigger than them, today we
see people who think they are to smart to accept God or anything false god as
well they reject anything that takes faith. Those of the world at one time had
a respect for the church but that time is gone and they do what they want no
matter who it hurts. Lusts here is talking about any fleshly desire, the sad thing
is those who say they are His live this way. 4
There will be those who will mock because we are waiting on His return, He will
return in His time not in our time, or when we want Him to return. 5
These people do not do Christ if they did they would never do this. God created
the world by speaking; this is the power of God that they do not know. Keep our eyes on Jesus.

Mark 2:19; 2 Peter 3:1-2
Mark 2:19
KJV 19 And Jesus said unto them, Can the
children of the bridechamber fast, while the bridegroom is with them? as long
as they have the bridegroom with them, they cannot fast.
KJ2000 19 And Jesus
said unto them, Can the friends of the bridegroom fast, while the
bridegroom is with them? as long as they have the bridegroom with them, they
cannot fast.
These are my thoughts.
Jesus is our Bridegroom and we the church our His bride.
2 Peter 3:1-2King James Version (KJV) 3 This second epistle, beloved, I now write unto you; in both
which I stir up your pure minds by way of remembrance: 2 That ye may be mindful of the
words which were spoken before by the holy prophets, and of the commandment of
us the apostles of the Lord and Saviour:

There is not many times in scripture they mention how much they wrote, this is
differently. This also shows that Peter wrote it to the same people. We should
be shaken up and stirred up at times for Christ. Christ allows us to become
pure. 2 We need to remember the words the Lord has given us, the
scriptures. The bible came to us by the prophets, by priests and by others
including kings and the followers of Christ that followed before us. All the
word bring honor to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. From the beginning to the
end it is a story about Christ’s love and our need for Him. Keep our eyes on Jesus.

Mark 2:18; 2 Peter 2:21-22
Mark 2:18
KJV 18 And the disciples of John and of the Pharisees
used to fast: and they come and say unto him, Why do the disciples of John and
of the Pharisees fast, but thy
disciples fast not? Recovery Version Mark 2:18 18 And the disciples of John and the
Pharisees were fasting. And
they came and said to Him, Why do the disciples of John and the disciples of
the Pharisees fast, but Your disciples do not fast? COPYRIGHT © 1997- 2014 LIVING STREAM MINISTRY.

2 Peter 2:21-22King James Version (KJV) 21 For it had been better for them
not to have known the way of righteousness, than, after they have known it, to
turn from the holy commandment delivered unto them. 22 But it is happened unto them
according to the true proverb, The dog is turned to his own vomit again; and
the sow that was washed to her wallowing in the mire. 2 Peter 2:21-2221st Century King James Version (KJ21) 21 For it would have
been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than, after
they had known it, to turn from the holy commandment delivered unto them. 22 But it has happened

not heard or who do not understand, to what extent this goes could be up for
debate but there are people who have been told and reject. This is saying that
it is better to be a part of the world to live as the world then to come to
Christ and continue live as the world. Living as the world but being a
Christian hurts our testimony, hurts our witness and can keep others from
coming to Christ, this not something people who remained outside the faith have
to deal with as they sin. He may also be referring to that those who were given
the law to live by should continue to live by the law even though they have
came to Christ, not for salvation. Paul taught that you did not have to keep
the law to have salvation; Peter is saying if you have lived by the law and
then came to Christ it is still best you keep the law as you have as you serve
Christ. 22 We should not look to live as we did before we came to
Christ. The Jewish people that left in the Exodus often longed for things of Egypt and this
did not make God happy, when we return to the acts or want the things from our
bondage of sin, it does not make God happy. Keep our eyes on Jesus.

Mark 2:17; 2 Peter 2:19-20
Mark 2:17
KJV 17 When Jesus
heard it, he saith unto them, They that are whole have no need of the
physician, but they that are sick: I came not to call the righteous, but
sinners to repentance. Recovery Version Mark 2:17
And when Jesus heard this, He said to them, Those who are strong have no
need of a physician, but those who are ill; I did not come to call the
righteous, but sinners. COPYRIGHT © 1997- 2014 LIVING STREAM MINISTRY.
All rights reserved. These are my thoughts. We only see our need for Jesus once we see that we
are sinners and He is our only hope. 2 Peter 2:19-20King James Version (KJV) 19 While they promise them
liberty, they themselves are the servants of corruption: for of whom a man is
overcome, of the same is he brought in bondage. 20 For if after they have escaped
the pollutions of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Saviour Jesus
Christ, they are again entangled therein, and overcome, the latter end is worse
with them than the beginning. 2 Peter 2:19-2021st Century King James Version (KJ21) 19 While they promise
them liberty, they themselves are the servants of corruption; for by whom a man
is overcome, by the same is he brought into bondage. 20 For if, after they
have escaped the pollutions of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and
Savior Jesus Christ, they are again entangled therein and overcome, the latter
end is worse with them than the beginning. 21st Century King James Version (KJ21) Copyright © 1994 by Deuel Enterprises, Inc. These are my thoughts, please share yours. 19 These are referring to false teachers and false prophets.
Liberty is
something God gave us; He gave us grace which gives us liberty from sin. This
is what false teachers seem to teach but they often add to this or take away
from by saying you need grace but you need to do… They are not of Christ so
they follow after something else and are motivated by something else, one of
the ways to see a false prophet other than their teaching is what motivates
them if it is not Christ than most likely they are a false teacher or one who
has gone astray, either way if their motivation is not Christ than they should
not be teaching. Man’s teaching often keeps us bound to the law or a law they
create and truly does not allow us the liberty that God gave us when Christ
died on the cross. 20 When need to rely on Christ and His word then listen to
the teachings of man to see by the word if they are from God. Most that fall
victim to false teachers are those who have not studied the word for
themselves. Keep our eyes on Jesus.

Mark 2:16; 2 Peter 2:17-18
Mark 2:16
KJV 16 And when
the scribes and Pharisees saw him eat with publicans and sinners, they said
unto his disciples, How is it that he eateth and drinketh with publicans and
sinners? Recovery Version2:16 And the scribes of the Pharisees, seeing
that He ate with sinners and tax collectors, said to His disciples, Why does He
eat with tax collectors and sinners? These are my
thoughts. We can only truly
want to spend time with Jesus after coming to know we are sinners and we need
Him. 2 Peter 2:17-18King James Version (KJV) 17 These are wells without water,
clouds that are carried with a tempest; to whom the mist of darkness is
reserved for ever. 18 For when they speak great
swelling words of vanity, they allure through the lusts of the flesh, through
much wantonness, those that were clean escaped from them who live in error. 2 Peter 2:17-1821st Century King James Version (KJ21) 17 These are wells
without water, clouds that are carried by a tempest, for whom the mist of
darkness is reserved for ever. 18 For when they speak
great swelling words of vanity, they allure through the lusts of the flesh and
through much wantonness those who had clean escaped from those who live in
error. 21st Century King James Version (KJ21)
Copyright © 1994 by Deuel Enterprises, Inc. These are my thoughts, please share yours. 17 Wells without water have no purpose, those without Christ
have no purpose because the purpose of life is to come to Him and find life.
They will remain in their darkness. 18 They want to sound important and wise before people, God
can see thru all this. They want to be glory to themselves instead of God who
they chose not to follow, by rejecting God it shows their pride the fact that
something is in place of God and keeps them from coming to Him. They keep doing
things of the flesh and find enjoyment in them they no nothing good but only
know what feels good, this is often sinful, pleasure is not always wrong but
for them pleasures come before God and anything that comes before God is
sinful.
