Mark 6:4 King James Version (KJV) 4 But Jesus, said unto them, A prophet is not without honour, but in his own country, and among his own kin, and in his own house.
Mark 6:4 Contemporary English Version (CEV)
4 But Jesus said, “Prophets are honored by everyone, except the people of their hometown and their relatives and their own family.”

These are my thoughts. Often times people’s own don’t see a person for what they are now but as who they were.
Job 13:19-21 King James Version (KJV) 19 Who is he that will plead with me? for now, if I hold my tongue, I shall give up the ghost. 20 Only do not two things unto me: then will I not hide myself from thee. 21 Withdraw thine hand far from me: and let not thy dread make me afraid.
Job 13:19-21 Good News Translation (GNT)
19 Are you coming to accuse me, God? If you do, I am ready to be silent and die. 20 Let me ask for two things; agree to them, and I will not try to hide from you: 21 stop punishing me, and don't crush me with terror.

19 Job is calling out God, which is prideful, Job wasn’t sick and lost everything as punishment but Job wasn’t perfect either, no one can ever be as holy as God because we have the flesh. Job was wanting to die because of the misery he was going thru, he wasn’t trying to end his life but wanted God to end it for him.
20 Job couldn’t hide anything from the Lord, neither can we He knows all and sees everything. We can’t truly bargain with God.
21 Job felt like he was being punished by God, we may have felt like that but we have to remember God has a greater purpose for things and He loves us.

Jude 19; Titus 3:12-14

Jude 19 King James Version (KJV) 19 These be they who separate themselves, sensual, having not the Spirit.
Jude 19 Lexham English Bible (LEB)
19 These are the ones who cause divisions, worldly, not having the Spirit.

These are my thoughts. We should not be ourselves one that cause division.
Titus 3:12-14 King James Version (KJV)
12 When I shall send Artemas unto thee, or Tychicus, be diligent to
come unto me to Nicopolis: for I have determined there to winter.
13 Bring Zenas the lawyer and Apollos on their journey diligently,
that nothing be wanting unto them.
14 And let our's also learn to maintain good works for necessary
uses, that they be not unfruitful.
Titus
3:12-14
JuliaSmith 12 When I shall send
Artemas to thee, or Tychicus, be earnest to come to me at Nicopolis: for there
have I chosen to pass the winter. 13 Send forward zealously Zenas pertaining to the
law, and Apollos, that nothing fail them. 14 And let ours also
learn to excel in good works for necessary uses, that they be not unfruitful.

12 So Paul was choosing to stay at Nicopolis for winter but
he planned to send either Artemas or Tychicus. Paul also wanted Titus to come
visit him over the winter, this could have been a reason he stayed in one area
so that he could be visited, it would have been harder if he kept moving.
13 Paul was wanting the best for these two men even though
there had been some division caused because of them among the people, Paul addressed
this with Corith towards Apollos. Thru following Jesus we don’t fail but we aren’t
perfect but are ultimate victors by Him.
14 Paul knew that good works were needed and that showed the
light of Jesus, while good works don’t show the gospel they present the chance
to share the gospel.

Mark 6:3; Job 13:17-18
Mark 6:3 King James Version (KJV) 3 Is not this the carpenter, the son of Mary, the brother of James, and Joses, and of Juda, and Simon? and are not his sisters here with us? And they were offended at him.
Mark 6:3 Contemporary English Version (CEV)
3 Isn’t he the carpenter, the son of Mary? Aren’t James, Joseph, Judas, and Simon his brothers? Don’t his sisters still live here in our town?” The people were very unhappy because of what he was doing.

These are my thoughts. People didn’t truly know who Jesus was and if they did they would have joy, we dind joy from knowing who He is and how He feels about us.
Job 13:17-18 King James Version (KJV)
17 Hear diligently my
speech, and my declaration with your ears.
18 Behold now, I have
ordered my cause; I know that I shall be justified.
Job 13:17-18 Good News Translation (GNT)
17 Now listen to my words of explanation.
18 I am ready to state my case,
because I know I am in the right.

17 Job was once again going to defend
himself, Job didn’t wrong these people but they wanted him to defend himself
and fess up to sin, Job wasn’t perfect but he didn’t cause this to fall upon
him because of sin.
18 Job may have had a case before these men
but like everyone the only way he could stand before the Lord is with Jesus
apart from him our sins condemn us before such a holy Lord.

These are my thoughts. These days we have people following varies types of sin trying to be happy, true happiness is in the Lord alone.
Titus 3:10-11 King James Version (KJV)
10 A man that is an heretick after the first and second admonition
reject;
11 Knowing that he that is such is subverted, and sinneth, being
condemned of himself.
Titus
3:10-11
JuliaSmith 10 A man, a heretic
after one and the second admonition, reject; 11 Knowing such to be
turned back, and he sins, being self-condemned.

10 While I don’t believe scriptures teaches every believer
needs to end talking to these types of people because God could use one sound
believer to help them to the faith, this verse is teaching that those who cause
stumbling within the congregation need to be talked to and if it continues to
happen then they need to asked to leave so that they don’t mislead the people
into false belief. I also belief that once they show they have true faith they
should slowly be welcomed back into the fellowship of the church.
11 Some people will turn from God back to sin, true
believers will be miserable doing this and because of that they will come back
to the faith but those who don’t have chosen there path to condemnation, the
church isn’t to allow them to bring others on their path to self destruction.
