I was born July 13th, 1936. Married to Peggy Ann Lewis of Gloster. Two children, a girl and a boy. Four grandchildren, 2 girls and 2 boys. Will celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary in 2007. Retired from active pastor of local churches in 1998 after 40 years. Now in my 5th interim. Write a devotional for a local weekly newspaper plus a devotional for the Sunday edition of the McComb, Mississippi Enterprise-Journal. Had prostrate cancer surgery April of 2004. No treatments were necessary. Moved to the homesite of my wife's parents who are both deceased. My mom and dad are both deceased. God has and is richly blessing all my family, for which we are eternally grateful.
In February of this year (2007), my home church, Galilee 1st Baptist in Gloster, MS voted for me to become the pastor of the church. This certainly wasn't sought, but I'm overjoyed that God has chosen to allow me to return home after all these years and minister in the church in which I grew up and in the town in which I was born and spent all my life until I went away to college at age 22. I'm having the time of my life as I watch the Lord at work in my home church. Pray for us, we have a long way to go but day by day, through the grace and love of Christ Jesus, we're going to make it!
