First of all... that font was tough for me to read... Maybe it is because I am too comfortable in today's setting.
Second. I read your comments in the blog earlier and today's... and sounds to me like you are teaching the old stoic philosophy of self denial and monk like lifestyles that are nothing new. Those are alright if that is your choice but they do not make anyone any closer to God... That is a path no different than the "contemorary seeker-friendly" churches that you comment on.
You say the answer to all these inadequate programs and teaching etc is the "cross." I am missing something here... like "how" I may be missing it because of the cross and I am very versed on the cross and its impact on this world and my life.
And... I am not a big fan of the contemporary swing in churches but that does not mean that God is not able to use them to reach people that I might not be able to reach.
Not being critical or confrontational just trying to understand where you are headed.
