Mattew 28:18ff I think it's imperative that we share. But I think the verses in Ezekial speak more to mans self responsibility. Granted if we slack when we are asked to work for Him it could potentially be hurtfull to us but you see he is told he will be bound and not able to speak until he is given the word of God to speek basicaly. Yes we will be held accountable for not doing His well and I would assume the lack of blessing or reward from God would seem as condemnation when your standing in line waiting for a crown. But I would be hard pressed to say they one would suffer the torment of hell because they didn't try to turn someone toward salvation. Unless you take to heart your calling. It's all about His will we are actually insignificant players. The key is whether or not we are truly playing.

I am not sure Ross. Although I'd agree that our transgressions are covered by the blood of Jesus, C'Anne does have a point. You mention heart. I think that is central to it all.

sorry Mel that was probably some misplaced sarcasm I think the message speaks to personal accountability still but would have to add that unless one is accountable to God's will they are not really being self accountable. I think what I was actually trying to say that unless we are responding to the Word and there are many verses making us responsible for sharing the word we are not really being responsive to His will. Not sure I came accross clearly however

I think this is scripture specifically for God's chosen, and when you are ready He will give you scriptures like this one. If you are destined to do such work, You already have a desire in you to want to do this. I believe God uses scriptures like these as commands, but many of us will be blind to it, unless He created you with this in mind.

I know I am not getting my point across very well, but I think there rae some who know exactly what I mean.

Again, open to correction, but just sharing the thoughts in my head.

    God Bless

Understanding exactly what you are saying, Lee. When I first got my call into the ministry, God laid Ezekiel 2 and 3 on me to read. What it meant for me was that I was being called to the church. Indeed, I do have the passion for this calling and still it sometimes seems so hard.

C'Anne.... for a college student I am impressed with your maturity and insight. You are a blessing!

On Second thought... forget "for a college student"... I am impressed with your insight period! The fact that you are a college student makes you that much MORE impressive! Keep up the walk!

    Agreed there, Bob.

Ross, I am sure that if we had been face to face I still would have been able to miss the fact that you were not totally serious. Your humor is fine by me. I can be sarcastic myself at times. I was not offended, and hopefully, neither is C'Anne. But you were joking about a serious subject. I am not laying any guilt on that, just saying that it is one of those things that can cause us to grumble against each other if we are not careful...

On a side note, I put up a couple of verses from James that echos off of this subject.

    Be Blessed,

    Mel

I think I agree with Lee. These verses mean more to those who feel called, but I would like to point out that the calling doesn't have to be church related. I feel called to be a marriage/family therapist. These verses challenge me just as much as they would challenge a missionary or a pastor.

Oh, and I wasn't offended, Ross. It is easy to be misunderstood in writing. I mean just look at my last couple of blogs!
