    Though I am far from perfect in this, I can say AMEN! The TRUTH is what we seek and serve, not the happiness of our fellow man, christian brother or sister, or not! (That is not to say tht we should not help them to understand true joy and contentment)

    I fall into the trap of seeking understanding, and yet I know that what is needed is more. So I am no better than any of the rest of us. I still have to seek what my cross is to bear, daily. And I don't always do well.

    You and I may not agree on some of the 'how to' but I absolutely commend you for your 'Call to Repentence.'

    Coming from the Jewish tradition 10 years ago, but particulrly when I encountered Christ at Columbine that tragic week in 1999, I have been repeatedly dismayed by how much I have experienced those who claim to be Christians either follow Christ in a very lukewarm, 'neither hot or cold' way or else think that all they had to do was once pray the sinners prayer once and DO NOTHING....or as you write, go to church once a week, 'get goosebumps' during the worship music and then nada!

    And beyond that, though Jesus as a man was all about social justice, they (Protestant Christians) can't hold a candle to many Jews who have 'suffering' in their genes.

    I read somewhere last week that a church I think in the Midwest was closing its doors entirely for the rest of the year and organizing its members to GO FORTH AND LIVE ACCORDING TO CHRIST.

    Perhaps ALL churches should do the same, until thousands if not hundreds of thousands 'get it.'
