Hi John,
Don't worry that "all you have left is prayer".
Prayer is enough - give your problems and petitions to God to deal with. He is the expert!
I know it hurts you to see your friend going down the same path that you have already tread upon but there is a reason for it. God has a plan. We all have suffered and experienced pain for the plan that God has for us.
Keep praying and praying.
And let God do His work!

Thank you for sharing from your heart, John! I agree that we have all been down a path of pain in God's plan for us. And I am thankful someone was praying for me! God's ways are not our ways, and I am thankful for that too! I encourage you to keep praying, but also to keep LIVING in obedience to God's will for YOU, asking Him for wisdom to share "spiritual" truths and doing so in HIS time. Just keep being the simple Love of Jesus to your friend. God bless you in your endeavors to share, and serve, Him!
